My preference is for deep tissue massages, and so, while I can't speak to the other modalities, I can absolutely say I've never had anything but an amazing massage here. A therapist I used the most over the years moved out of the area, and so I received massages from several different therapists thereafter. Each was unique; each was excellent. The owner, Bri, is often around, making sure each client's experience is outstanding. Bri often asks for honest feedback, which is essential in a business such as this. After reading other reviews and having a tougher pregnancy during a pandemic this time around I wanted to treat myself to a prenatal massage. With my first I had never gone for one and regretted it later. Did some research and thought to try this place than a massage envy or other chain. Location is easy to find in a shopping center in Herndon. They occupy the first floor and it's clearly marked from the parking lot. Upon entering a friendly gentleman asked me to fill out some paperwork and pay beforehand. I didn't wait too long till the room was ready. The ambiance is odd, there's a curtain with stuff clearly used for storage just behind it, the place could use some paint touch ups or some tlc to make it seem more of a spa like environment.. The massage itself was .. in a couple words awful. Now I'm no stranger to massage, I've worked jobs on my feet and lived in Manhattan and gotten massages on the regular at points in my life. Typically I opt for the strong, long strokes that feel like you will have bruises the next day for work through the kinks and make you feel better . This massage was Just more , random pressing in spots and very uneven from one side to the other ... during the hour long massage I found myself in my head often asking myself ' I wonder how much longer this is '.... I left with one part of my back feeling ok and the other equivalent side was untouched. The masseuse worked on my left calf but not the right.. very unbalanced and will probably just return to my massage spots in chantilly postpartum for a better, cheaper massage. Rejuvenation's with tip ran me around $150 for the hour. Complete waste read more

I went for my 2nd, follow up massage at Rejuvenation Massage Therapy on 1/28,2024 with a therapist I was paired with, by the front desk staff at the end of my 1st session a week prior. The reason for my 1st session was because I was having severe radiating pain x 1 week, left sided occipital region to left shoulder blade and arm, without numbness or tingling. The first session was booked online and my symptoms were mentioned as to my reason for appointment. I went in with 10/10 pain and left with 2/10 pain. My therapist Jenny was amazing. She targeted my areas of discomfort and knew exactly what she was doing. It was clear that she understood her craft. My 2nd appointment was a DISASTER! The therapist assigned to me could not meet my expectation of why I was there. There was zero pressure (feather like) with no attention nor indication to provide the service I was paying for even when requested. When I asked , as I did, for some pressure (because there was none, I can't reiterate this enough), I was told that she does not offer deep tissue massages because she had an existing injury preventing her from doing so. The therapy she was able to provide was relaxation, which I wasn't there for, clearly, as my needs, as mentioned above were distinctive. However, since I had already carved out an hour and left my home for a massage I decided to make the most of it. I guess to no one's fault but mine, I decided to complete the process, even with the therapist acknowledging that she was not able to provide tailored treatment. However, before the 1 hour session was complete, the decision was made by Karen, to terminate therapy secondary to my dissatisfaction, which I believed was based on a bruised ego, but that's just my opinion. Nevertheless, I respectfully accepted her decision with no push back. Once I was dressed, Heather, the front desk staff who paired me with Karen knowing my needs the previous week, or at least I thought so, as it was memorialized in my booking, confirmed that Karen does relaxation with focus to targeted areas, to which I offered that there was no targeted areas focus and that there should be a discussion with the therapist as there is a major discrepancy with therapy provided. I paid and left 100 % unsatisfied. Not only was payment made for a service not provided to satisfaction, I lost an hour of my personal time. Take away, don't trust the process thinking that all therapists offers the same modalities. Please enquire when booking so that your treatment is tailored accordingly. A few days later, received an email from the owner who notified me that her therapists felt pressured to provide treatments and that my future appointments with the first therapist were cancelled. To note, the owner never had a conversation with me. So clearly, the consumer's pov are of no interest. read more

Its been a few years and they deserve an update. I returned after a bit of a hiatus starting in October a few weeks after I tweaked my back while sleeping. I've been seeing Kimberly for the past couple of months and she's been terrific, skilled, friendly, and I even sent my hubby to see her as well and he was super happy with his massage as well. Again this place is a bit more basic so if you're expecting a day spa experience I'd suggest looking elsewhere, but if you're looking for more of a deeper tissue massage you've found the right place. They have an online system where you can check appointment availability and request an appointment but keep in mind the appointment isn't confirmed until you hear back from the location. Overall I've been really happy although a little sore but in a good way when I leave. As far as price I'm guessing its on par with other massage therapy places in the area. They do accept credit cards but the tip you must leave in cash. Location, its in a shopping center right off Elden street on the border of Herndon/Reston. Depending on the direction you're coming from it can be a bit confusing to finding the entrance to the shopping center. You can either go to the traffic light at Laurel way to get into the shopping center just go past the Outback, or if you're coming in from downtown Herndon, there's a traffic light where the hotel is (I can't remember the street name) when you can turn and then cut through to access the shopping center. They're located next to the 7-11 there. I'll certainly be back again. read more

I took my wife to Rejuvenations Massage Therapy for her birthday on Saturday. Our appointment was for 1:00 pm and we were traveling from Waldorf to Reston. I called the front desk to notify them that we were running behind schedule and was told that one of the therapists will be able to still give an hour massage. I told the front desk to switch our appointments so that my wife could get the full hour. However, when we arrived at 1:18 pm, my wife's massage was completed before 2:00 pm. I was downstairs waiting for my wife, not knowing that she was already finished, and in the car waiting for me. The business environment was average at best and I truly felt as if I wasted $260. I ask the receptionist what happened to the extended time that she told me that my wife would get and she said that she had booked someone else after she had told me that she would get a full hour. read more

I've been coming here for a few months now and probably had half a dozen massages. I was a member of Massage Envy for about two years, and have had massages at other spas ranging from 5-Star luxury hotels to local independent spas, so I'm no rookie. You can't really compare Rejuvenations to a place like Massage Envy, because they are just too different. Massage Envy offers relatively cheap massages with the trade-off being they have high turnover and what seems like a high number of inexperienced staff. At Massage Envy it was largely hit or miss. A few of their therapists were good and the rest varied from okay to awful. If you did find one you liked, chances are they were not around for long. Rejuvenations is more expensive than Massage Envy, however the knowledge and experience of the therapists translates into a much better massage. It's a bit like comparing a skilled craftsman to an amateur. One is taking great care to combine finely honed skills and experience to produce a great result, and the other is working at a job for a paycheck. You can easily find cheaper than Rejuvenations, but it would be tough to find better. read more

After 3 years of haitus from this place I decided to go back for a destressing session. They have since moved to a bigger place. Scheduled my appt online the night before and was able to confirm in the am. The massage experience was so so. The therapist didn't introduce herself. Her hands were cold and the feeling was uncomfortable rather than soothing. The quality of the massage was a 2.5 out of 5 stars. . I wasn't really satisfied with the quality of massage that I got. I highly recommend this place! Becky is amazing. I found this place about two months ago when I got really bad sciatic back pain being four months pregnant that I could not walk properly. I have had three hour-long prenatal massage sessions with Becky and she is always fantastic. After the first session, I was able to walk out of there walking normal again. I have been struggling with neck and shoulder pain, and on a lark, yelp recommended this business to me because it is so close and they were good ratings. I have already scheduled my next appointment, and I really feel like this is now a part of a personal wellness plan. It is expensive, but I will budget for this. This is not your Massage Envy sort of thing; these massage therapists don't do lots of massages each day, so they're not overworked and exhausted. They are there to improve your mobility, your comfort, and your life. Keenan gets feedback from me coninuously through the massage, gently and quietly, and often has me do movements that work against what she's working on for increased loosening of my muscles. She hones right in on the areas that are tight and need more work and works on my range of motion. Jenny works wonders! I'm 7 months pregnant and I was impressed how well she ensured I had the correct alignment with pillows and bolsters to be comfortable and enjoy my massage. I had some problem areas around my upper back that she worked through. I will definitely be coming back. Not a super fancy spa experience but clean and most importantly I got a great massage. It was both soothing and therapeutic. 1 star off for the new receptionist who seems to lack any kind of customer service experience. In general she had a pushy and condescending tone. I was told instead of asked on a subsequent booking to come in 30 minutes earlier so that the massage therapist could make room for another booking. I've been going here for many years (since before they expanded in 2008), and they have always been completely consistent in all dimensions. I feel comfortable using different therapists as obtaining last minute/same day appointments (that are almost always available via online booking, which is great) is more important to me. I have never been disappointed as each therapist has been well-trained in various modalities and takes the time to customize an approach that works for my needs. At times I have needed targeted work on areas where I have old injuries or past surgeries (hips). Other times I'm just looking for relaxation and release of muscle tension in my head, neck, and shoulders. Each therapist has been extremely easy to work with, friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. One small caveat - if you are looking for a "spa" experience, this is not it. Yes, the general atmosphere and rooms are comfortable and welcoming, but it is not plush or luxurious with extra frills - this is a place that is serious about massage as a therapeutic tool for improving physical and mental well-being. Bri, the owner, lives in my neighborhood and is just a fantastic member of the community. She is usually working the front desk and is always welcoming and friendly. Rejuvenations is also veteran- and trans-owned, and LBGTQ welcoming. Yay! read more

This is not a spa...these therapists are here to treat and heal...there are no scented candles and oils, sauna, etc...but they are professionals. Tried a second massage here with a different therapist. Both times have been wonderful experiences but for different reasons. I came in the first time for an overall relaxation massage and Deanna was great...the second time, I read the bios and because my lower back was sore from kickboxing yesterday, I decided to book with Wynona. Again, a great experience and no more lower back pain...she targeted specific areas and really "worked" me...I am really ramping up my work outs so I have decided to book and pre-booked for a couple weeks from now with Wynona again. I was lucky to have received a gift certificate for a 60-Minute Prenatal Massage at Christmas. After looking at various profiles as well as Yelp reviews, I was able to select Johnny who specializes in prenatal massage. Their online reservations system couldn't be easier to use and after the initial appointment selection, I merely had to confirm the appointment by phone when they called. I arrived slightly early in order to fill out some paperwork. They have a comfy entry/seating area, and friendly front desk staff who great you. I was seen right on time. Johnny did a fantastic job. He read my back like a book. He was able to quickly identify and work on my problem knots. He often asked about pressure which was appreciated. I definitely liked the set-up they have which allows for my growing belly. At times, I seriously forgot about baby! Although some people comment that the place is "not a spa," I wouldn't necessarily agree. No, there are no robes and slippers and steam room sessions after the massage. But there is low music. I went here b/c of a deal Living Social had for a 30 minute massage. I did ask for Emily based on the previous reviews and she was great! She put exactly the right pressure I needed and focused on that area. I normally prefer longer massages so I wish the deal had been for at least 60 minutes. If you go, don't expect a great ambiance like a spa but you will get a good massage. Normally, the 30 minute massage is $60 which I would expect from a spa because of all the things offered. The only reason for the three star is because the day of my appointment was feeling really ill and fell asleep and when I woke up it was thirty minutes into the appointment time when I called to tell them my situation. I'd never heard of prenatal massages before but a (formerly) pregnant friend raved about Rejuvenations so I made it clear to my husband that I wanted one for Christmas. I had an appointment on Saturday with Amy and was not disappointed. I told her that my shoulders and back were the source of most of my discomfort and she really took the time to hit every muscle that ached instead of just running her hands up and down my back. She had me on each side, then propped me up on my back and worked my shoulders. It was a vastly different experience than the one I had at Red Door Spa a couple weeks prior (not a knock on them -- just different). I highly recommend. read more

I have been looking for a new massage therapist that was as good as Lindsey Porter up in Frederick, MD. I decided to try Rejuvenations since it was close to work. I have not been disappointed yet. I first had Rebecca. She was skilled, had strength for the deep tissue and was able to work some troublesome knots down. I would highly recommend scheduling with her. The next time I called, Rebecca was not available and I had Lisa Marie. Lisa Marie has since moved on. She was very good. I am now with Jenny. I have gone to her twice so far and will request her again. One advantage that Jenny has is that she is tall. She is able to sustain strokes for the complete length of your back, your hamstrings and calves. She is adept, astute and attentive to what your body needs. The staff at the front desk are nice and friendly. The prices are inline with other spas. There are no surprises. The facility is clean and quiet. There is plenty of parking. read more

I was having a back spasm that medication only relieved 75% of. I was at work sitting in my chair and it was just too painful. So I scheduled a same day appointment at Rejuvenations online, and showed up 20 minutes early. They took me right away instead of making me wait (which was great!). The place looks very spartan or utilitarian. But the sheets and blanket felt good (and I'm very picky). I got Amy. I'm 38 and have gotten massages all over the world. Amy is a very young and inexperienced masseuse, but I think she did great. She basically used her elbows to beat the spasm out of my middle back. It was an intense massage; painful; relevant. I could only go about 45 minutes maybe before it was just too much. I asked for a foot massage for the remainder of the time (my poor feet!) and she did an ok job, but it was something she clearly wasn't well trained for. She sent me a thank you card in the mail a few days later with a funny joke about stopping by for something a bit more relaxing next time. Next time I need a massage, I'm going back, for sure, and would ask for Amy again. read more
