I purchased 3 vouchers from this company- 2 microdermabrasions (for my mom & I) and one fora pedi/mani
I called & scheduled an appointment for my mom & I to do the microdermabrasions together in my home. She was fine with that, but did charge both of us for the travel cost, even though it was all in my home.
For this appt she was over an hour late, she did call & say she'd be 30 min late but by this point it was 10 min to our appointment time. During both mine & my moms microderm. her phone went off constantly. She had set it down on my kitchen island and I'm sure had it set at the highest level. She checked it every time it went off, but never answered it.
We set up an appt to use my second voucher (option 1) which she put in on her blackberry. When this appt came around 15 min after the time she was to show up I called her to find out where she was. She claimed her son had wiped all her contacts off her computer (she had already used this excuse with me when talking about setting up an appt time) and was sick so she wouldn't be coming. She was very apologetic BUT I had lined up a babysitter for my twins (not an easy feat!) and this individual had taken the day off work to do this for me.
I decided to give her another chance, because just maybe she was telling the truth. So we set up another day/time in a week from then. I ended up having to cancel that appt, but I gave her 5 days notice. We set up another time & she did show up but was having mechanical difficulties and wasn't focused on the service for me. She asked if I would mind splitting up the voucher and only doing the manicure & setting up an appt for the pedicure at a different date. I was completely accommodating and understanding, so we did. I tipped her cause I feel bad for her, she seems to be having the worst luck. However, my manicure was terrible. She didn't have enough polish in the jar I chose and it was old polish, it was all bubbled up within 10 min of it being done. Within 3 hours of having it done it was driving me crazy and I took it off. It was bubbled, smeared and parts of my nail didn't even have polish. I had put on clear polish a week prior and still had some of it on, she didn't take it off with nail polish remover, she filed the tops of my nails which really hurt.
Today was supposed to be the day for my pedicure- the 2nd portion of the voucher. She once again pulled a no-show & no-call. Our appointment time was set for 12.30. I called her at 10am (partially to remind her & partially to ask if she wouldn't mind moving it by 30 min later- but seriously what client should ever have to call a business and remind them about keeping their appt time?), however she didn't pick up the phone. I left my name & number for her to call me. It is now 3.15pm and I still haven't heard from her.
I am so completely unimpressed with ALL of the services I received from this so-called "esthetic service company". Wow....
I feel terrible giving her a bad review as I think she really does mean well. She seems to be facing some difficult times and health challenges for family members... but this is still a business. A service that I paid for. Just like the other reviewer, I'm sorry Cathy. read more
