I received my wedding dress a week before my wedding and I searched for someone to do alterations close by that had good reviews. I took my dress to Relai and she said she'd have everything done within 3 days for $80 to alter the shoulders, length, chest and and raise the slit and move the lace pieces over. She was very slammed with other rush jobs but had no problem kindly taking my dress too, that being the only reason it had taken the 3 days which was completely fine. The dress had three layers and a huge flower lace detail right where I wanted the slit raised. She did an incredible job and was so so sweet. I'd highly recommend her to anyone. We're moving back to the Sacramento area, and I know if I ever needed alterations again, I'd drive back to her. read more

I stopped in because the dress I ordered for a friend's wedding was listed at a really absurdly long length that would have been awful for me. I didn't even think to try it on before I came to Relai's, because I have a white cat who would have covered it in hair, and besides... I knew the measurements, so should be as expected, right? Wrong! It turned out the dress ran egregiously short and I didn't even need any alterations! I don't dress up often so probably would have just done whatever I was advised to do, but the shop told me I was fine! They could have lied to me, but didn't. Good on them! I dropped off a pair of G-Star jeans that I wanted taken in around the calf and ankle. She had this done on time and looked professionally done and the fit was perfect. I love Relai and her little tailoring shop. I tell people she is my seamstress (but really she is my tailor). She gets my clothes back to me when promised, and she is great at what she does. I made her turn all my pants into skinny pants since I like fitted clothes, and I am astonished with her work. You just have to tell her EXACTLY how you want it. She is pretty up to date with the latest looks and can foresee how the outcome of something should come out looking like. I ordered a special event wedding dress a year and a half before my wedding. It's a period wedding from the 1860. I sent in my measurement in December of 2021 for my wedding in April of 2022. I received my dress in the mail in the end of February 2022. When I opened the box with my sister's. We were very surprised. The dress was huge!! I tried the dress on....and was shocked. My sister said she had a friend that was a seamstress. We went two days later to see her. She was unable to fix the dress due to the bodice being so big and it being one piece of lace with hand sewn lace sequence pieces. My older sister started calling places that sold bridal dresses. She was given this name by a bridal shop and she was told they do amazing work. My sister called and she was told they would look at the dress. We went to the shop and the lady was extremely friendly. I put the dress on to show her the problem on how huge my custom made dress was. She did not faint....she just smiled and commented. This dress is not your size at all. She told me the dress was a size 18 and I wear a size 6. Immediately she started grabbing pins and fitting it to me. She said she would be able to fix my dress. My older sister and I were almost in tears. This seamstress worked on my wedding dress for 3 days straight. I went yesterday with my older sister to try the dress on. It fit perfect!! All the lace was in place and the dress was so beautiful when I tried it on. My sister took pictures to show my other 3 sisters. Their comment was WOW and they were happy to see my smile. I was so please with the service I received from this seamstress I tipped her 50.00 and then she was in tears. I will take any other clothing I need altered to this shop. I live almost an hour away and I will still drive to have her work on my clothing. I highly recommend this shop. read more

Edit: Got my jeans back and they are PERFECT! My husband took 2 pairs of jeans in to get patched, and my mom took in 2 pairs of pants to have zippers re-sewn in! I love this place and the women that work there are so sweet! I am giving this place 4 stars b/c I have yet to get my jeans back. After being treated horribly at Save-on in Yuba City (see my review), I found this place in the phone book. They were so sweet and had wonderful customer service! I felt very welcomed right away. I had to try on the jeans and my son sat patiently in his stroller. They were talking to him and keeping him entertained. It was wonderful! My jeans will be ready tomorrow and I look forward to picking them up! :) $8/pair of pants is great in my book! read more

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past weekend. My dress fit (a little bit snug) 3 weeks before the wedding. I decided to start adding cardio and healthy eating and lost 6 lbs. Unfortunately, I added weight lifting as well and my dress was too tight the morning before the wedding. In a panic, I rushed to Relai's and the owner was so nice and was able to add a corset top to the dress... it worked out so perfectly! I was extremely impressed that she was able to fix it within 5 hours and on a very busy weekend!
