I called at 9:30 am to inquire about have patches sewn on my boys's karate uniforms. The receptionist was friendly and informative. I was given a fair quote and told they could do it the same day. Five days before the wedding I find out that the Nordstroms alteration of my dress was too tight around the neck and I wouldn't be able to wear it. Nothing against Nordstroms at all. HORRIBLE! Do not use them! I wish I could give no star. Rude and expensive. Plus someone in her business switch out my very expensive yoga pants or gave my yoga pants to someone else and gave me a cheap pair of $20 pants from Target. After I brought my pants home I noticed the wrong tag on my pants. She told me I needed their receipt as proof BUT they take the receipt when you pick up your item!! So of course I didn't have the receipt. She also said she looked up my name and "I was not in her system" and I never brought anything to her. Not only bad business but untrustworthy! read more

I have this great suit which I rarely wear but it needed some alterations on the jacket and pants. The woman who works there (sorry I didn't get her name) and she is probably the owner is a no nonsense person but very nice and efficient. She put some cuffs on my pants as well as fixing a loose button on my jacket. Bait and switch. I inquired about zipper replacement on shorts. I was quoted $22 here on Yelp. After driving 15 miles, I presented my shorts to the woman I believe is the owner. She told me $33. I told I had just been quoted $22. She replied that must have been from a year ago. I showed her the Yelp quote from 3 days ago. She said she didn't care, she would not stand by what was promised. WTF? I don't care if I pay the same ($33) somewhere else, I will never go back to Vlads again. I have used the services at this establishment a few times with no warm and fuzzy feeling of customer service and certainly nothing resembling a willingness to extend beyond the cursory "hello". The price for having a pair of heels stretched was a bit high and seemed to take a while. I get it that they probably contract out for this service, and I was willing to let this go, as it was a convenience for me. Also, when I had two pairs of jeans hemmed, it was a bit of a wait and more than I have ever paid, but, again, I was willing to let it go, as there was no problem with the end result. However, when I went in to have two simple long sundresses hemmed and had on the tall heels I was intending to wear with them, they pinned them at a length I was happy with. I was appalled at the price of $40.00 per dress but I went along with it with trepidation. I should have changed my mind and taken them back. They were hemmed well above my ankles and when I went back to discuss this error, I was met with immediate defiance and arrogance and made to feel inferior!! There was not a hint of trying to make me feel better. They have absolutely no idea what "CUSTOMER SERVICE" is!!! I will tell all my local friends to go elsewhere for their alterations and other services. read more

Finally didn't throw clothes away or donate them; but took my first pair of moderately expensive jeans in to be altered. The problem with them was the "boot cut" on the originally purchased pair of pants looked more like some blatantly HUGE pair of 70's bell bottoms. I went to Vlad's Alterations from a referral from a friend I work with who takes her Miss Me jeans in to be hemmed because they are so long, I was warned that the office lady isn't the friendliest. I walked in and was greeted normally, I think that people's interpretations of her coming across as "rude" is really in the language barrier, but she understood everything I needed and was very easy to understand. She needed to reconstruct the bottom of my pant leg, I tried the jeans on, she pinned them EXACTLY the way I wanted and had my item ready on the date agreed to 4 days later. She wasn't over talkative but friendly and polite, her service was spot on, and my jeans fit me PERFECTLY and are EXACTLY the way I wanted, they look better than any store bought jean I own because they are fitted to me and my body and at $16 you can't beat that! DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM. This is by far the worst tailor I have ever been to. I brought in a beautiful pink satin gown and needed a few minor alterations: shorten the train to be the same length as the front, take it in at the waist and chest, and close the slit in the front a few inches. First off they charged me $108 dollars for all of that. When I went in to pick up the dress I tried it on and it was 2 inches off the floor?!? WHAT THE HECK??? My floor length gown was sowing my ankles! This was problematic. They looked really annoyed but said that they could fix it. OK, COOL. I waited another week (they couldn't do it sooner and I told them when I had to have/wear it) and went back to pick it up. Again, I tried the dress on. They took the material from the train and added a WAISTBAND to drop the skirt down. This changes The entire dress. It breaks the beautiful seam that runs from the top across the bodess and then drops down to open up to a slit at the knee. They also changed the way that the back of the dress draped open... no more drape. NOT ONLY did it change the entire dress, but they didn't put a backing behind the waistband so you can see through it. I freaked out. They tried to convince me that the dress "is good like that". After insisting that it's not and you can SEE MY BELLYBUTTON, they said they would fix it and I could pick it up in a few days. PROBLEM! I have to leave TOMORROW to go to MY COUSIN'S WEDDING where I'm a BRIDESMAID. (Yup, this is my bridesmaid dress that is now completely unrecognizable.) They made a fuss about it, but I got them to do it the same day and stay open 20 minutes late for me to pick it up. OK, 3rd time's a charm! I try it on again, DISASTER!!! Every seam that they touched were now puckered, it was a 1/2 inch shorter all the way around, it now fell off of my shoulders (how, I don't know?!) and it was covered in BLUE PEN MARKS all over the stomach. They took one last stab at it and promised to get the marks off. After waiting for them to fix the dress for the 4th time, they bring the dress out and it has disgusting YELLOW WATER MARKS all over it. It looked like they took a dirty sponge to the dress to get the pen out. They then tell me that I owe them ANOTHER $108 for the additional work. ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! The additional work was fixing their own mistakes! So I said NO. She then says, OK LET'S CALL IT $80. NOPE!!! She looked confused. I repeated again, the extra work was your fault because you couldn't do your job the first time, I GRABBED MY DRESS AND WALKED OUT. It is currently at the Dry Cleaners (which I had to pay an arm and a leg to in order for them to wash overnight) in hopes of getting the dirty water spots off. My $300 (before paying for alterations) Satin Gown now looks like something I found on the sale rack of Forever 21. IT IS ILL FITTING, THE SEAMS AREN'T STRAIGHT & DON'T LAY FLAT, IT'S TOO SHORT, WON'T STAY ON MY SHOULDERS, AND DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE SAME DRESS AT ALL. A BLIND MONKEY COULD DO A BETTER JOB THAN THESE PEOPLE. read more
