I have been coming to the 40th and Camelback location for years and I love it. Yes, it is simple and kind of basic in appearance, yet the staff are attentive and provide good service. I appreciate being able to get a complete "reset" from stress for my body and mind in an hour for the cost of $55 plus tip. The style of massage is definitely NOT Swedish massage. It's more of a no-nonsense effort to attack and release knots. I find it be effective and highly therapeutic, especially for my shoulders and neck where I carry a lot of tension and stress. I came in hoping for the foot reflexology session for one hour. I was very disappointed because it ended up just being an hour long soothing foot massage (think pedicayre massage) without the targeted reflexology technique that is based off of pressure points in the foot. So, if they do not have trained professionals that understand how to perform a reflexology treatment, they should not have this on the menu of services, and frankly why they are called a foot spa is confusing as well. Anyways, I'll give it 2 stars because the full body massage is decent, but when it comes to the foot, they are not experts in this area. UPDATE: called the massage went to share my experience and she told me there is nothing she is willing to do to make this right. I offered a RE-do with a different service, she told me no. There's 2 locations. 1747 and 3939. I like the 1747 location better. I went to the 3939 location because once I had the best chair massage at 1747. But they don't tell you their name. And you can't request a specific therapist. They take turns based on when people come in. I hadn't seen the guy at 1747 in a while. So I went to 3939 hoping he might be there. The massage at 3939 was awful. And when I tipped $10. They told me it wasn't enough. And then showed me that everyone else was giving them $20- $30 tips. But I didn't like the massage. So, I gave $15 just to get them to stop harassing me. If I like the massage, I usually give a larger tip. But this was horrible. Where is the guy from that one time. Lesson learned. If i really like the massage, I'll ask their name and them write it down. Demanding a larger tip is rude... And the quality of the massage isn't worth it. The only reason I go to them is because they will take walk-ins. I can get a better massage for about the same amount of money elsewhere. Just getting an appointment is hard. read more

Ive been here so many times over the last many years. Yes, there have been times when the therapist had to step out as someone was at the door, however there's also been many times when they had enough staff & that didn't happen. It's an inexpensive, awesome massage. I love it & they're nice. This is not the Phoenician or Montelucia; it's a strip mall awesome foot massage place where they also can massage the rest of you. I went to their other location on 17th street and camelback but couldn't find that listing. My friend and I went together and so they gave us a couples room. It was nice, but just so you know, that's an option. We both did the 60 minute combination massage which was a killer deal for only $40. Don't be alarmed by the short tables they are that way because at first you soak your feet in warm water as part of this massage. Then they put a foot ottoman under your legs once that part is done and proceed with the rest of the massage. He focused a lot on my feet which makes sense considering it's a relax foot spa and the rest of the massage was great. The price is great and the facility is clean. WORST place I've ever been! Reflexology is pressure points on the feet with a deep massage. I got a terrible leg massage that sometimes massaged the feet. I asked him for JUST feet and he kept doing my legs which hurt on my shins and my sore feet got zero deep massage like I came in for. The detox was just the man who spoke no English putting my feet in some water with an ionizer and leaving me there for 30 min. He then shined a shotty flashlight in a brown bucket saying the water is brown. What a waste! This was the first time I did not tip. It was absolutely awful. I will never come back here. read more

You get what you pay for here at Relax foot spa. Hour massage for $40? I'll take it, but don't expect the most relaxing experience. It's a full body massage including a foot soak. You remain fully clothed and go into a room with curtains for walls so you still are hearing other patrons coming in and out of the place and employees walking down the hallway. But the massage does feel great, they ask you if the pressure is okay and will adjust as requested. Have always been able to get right in and never had to wait. Overall decent experience for a budget friendly massage but wouldn't be my first place of choice. read more

I live in a different city and wanted to give the certificate as a gift to my sister in Phoenix. After I paid they changed their story and basically said I had prepaid for an appointment for myself and had to come in to claim it. Bogus. I'm officially pissed. I'm a regular here and I network with them since I run a business nearby. I've had a couple of mediocre experiences here and have given them a second and third chance. I just went there on a scheduled appointment and requested a 30 minute chair massage. I booked with a certain therapist and got a different one. Not only did my massage therapist keep checking his phone while he was doing my massage but he left me in my chair four different times to attend to people coming in. THEN he shorted me by ten minutes. So basically I got maybe a ten minute chair massage, which was a scheduled 30. This is my second bad review on them. Yes, 6-0 not 50 like the common chain massage joints. I like deep tissue and they always use more than enough pressure. To say that you'll walk out of here with happy feet is an understatement. Yikes! When they machine came out for the detox, none of them could get it to work. It was like they had never used it before. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Also no one spoke english and we had a no way of telling them that we were not happy. After paying (why?) they were clear that they expected a large tip! I am giving this place 2 stars because I asked for a foot massage only. They tried to up sell me to the head/ arm/leg /foot but I declined as I had plans afterwards and didn't want my hair & makeup all messed up. Normally I would have been all about the works! Well I still got the head/arm/leg/ foot massage anyway. The guy I had had lotion on his hands and he proceeded to massage my face followed by my scalp. I tried to stop him and he just smiled and laughed. I'm thinking he didn't understand a word I said. The other reason and biggest reason I am giving 2 stars is when I went to pay for our massages (( my husband was with me)) I paid with my credit card and I decided since I had cash I would tip in cash. Well I tipped $15 (3 5's) on a $70 bill which is over 20% and the guy looked at me, started showing me 1 finger, shaking his head and pointing to back room (where lady was) like telling me I needed to pay more of a tip, got his calculator out and started diving my $15 by 2 showing me $7.50 and shaking his head like he didn't want the .50. Dude- this is a tip!! Figure it out amongst yourselves- don't beg your customer for more money. That was not an okay thing to do in my book, totally not professional or classy. Needless to say, I won't be going back here ever again. As for my massage it was okay not my style of fast rubbing. At one point he was rubbing my leg so fast I thought I would get a burn with his gloves. This was my second visit to Relax Foot Spa and combined my visits earn one star. That's right, half a star for each time. I really hoped the terrible customer service and cut short massage was a fluke the first time but unfortunately that was not the case. For my most recent visit, I stopped in for a quick 15 minute chair massage after a particularly long day and left feeling more tense than when I arrived. I told the man I only wanted the 15 minute chair massage to which he replied, "No. Full body 35 minute." Over and over and over he pushed the longer and more expensive service. After I told him at least four times I only had time for the 15 minute massage he said okay, walked me back to the full body area and said "okay full body 35 minute you go." Again he was pushy and I told him I only had time for the 15 minutes and that was what I wanted. He huffed, pushed passed me in the hallway and led me to the chair massage room where he motioned to the chair and frowned. The massage itself was decent but I couldn't help but be irritated by his behavior. During the massage another customer came in and he stopped my service and went to the front to talk to her, which kind of killed and remaining hope I had for a relaxing experience. The massage was shorter than 15 minutes by about three minutes, but at that point I just wanted out of there. I should mention as soon as he finished my 12 minute "15 minute" massage he asked me if I wanted full body AGAIN! When I went to pay, I realized I had a coupon for $5 off ANY service that I received in the mail so I thought, "oh well, it was bad but at least I have a coupon." When I presented it to him to pay he rejected it, saying "full body" over and over. I politely pointed out the coupon says ANY service with no exclusions but he once again said no. To sum it up, I paid to leave more tense than when I arrived. I won't be visiting Pushy Foot Spa ever again. read more

I have gone to a few other "foot spas" in the area and this one is fabulous. Relax Foot Spa has your typical set up with the curtains, small entry way, and subtle language barrier. Some people may be tentative to go into places like this, but I find that I was met with a friendly, clean accommodations, and a wonderful foot, leg, arm, and back massage. Tina was my masseuse and she did a phenomenal job. A very reasonably priced deep tissue massage! I will be going back! read more

I recently moved to the neighborhood & checked out the Relax Foot Spa today as a walk in. I paid for the 20 minute chair massage. A gentleman came out and started the session. About 2 minutes into the massage the phone started to ring in the lobby. The gentleman left the massage to answer the phone. He also had guests come into the business while on the phone. After hanging up the phone he set up another session with the new guests. After about 5 minutes he came back with a very less than average massage. I paid for 20 minutes but got about 15 minutes, if that of a "massage" After the massage & as I was leaving he said to me "where is my tip?" He was PISSED I was not going to tip him. I decided to give him $5 and he looked at me and said "Is this it?" I will not be returning here. read more

My boyfriend and I went last week. We were both nervous. He place is very clean. The staff speaks very little English. Rooms are small but kinda fun if you go with a friend or boyfriend. They start with a cleaning of your feet then a 30 Minute massage. You can choose to do all feet or half body also. We both got the half and half. It was amazing. Not relaxing and not worth it! The atmosphere was fine, just like any other reflexology parlor, but the service was by far the worst I have ever experienced. My boyfriend and I got the $40/hr full body massage. My masseuse was on his phone the entire time - NOT JOKING. While rubbing my feet he was texting with his phone in between my legs. His phone rang twice, and he answered! No, it was not on silent, and YES he did put it on speaker phone when he answered. My boyfriend's masseuse left the massage room to use the restroom about halfway through the massage and we heard every second of it - even him hocking a luge before flushing the toilet. I was appalled and felt awful making my boyfriend fork over $100 for this experience - I begged him not to tip, but he did anyway. This was in no way a relaxing experience and I am still infuriated over getting ripped off here! read more

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a relaxing foot massage. We ended up with the Combination (Foot + Head + Shoulder + Leg)-an hour for $40.00. Starts out with a warm pillow on your neck and stomach and a soak for your feet. Peaceful atmosphere and also good for couples. What a wonderful, relaxing yet invigorating massage!
