Very sketchy. Solicitor was charming (young woman) as was the salesman. But I could tell very quickly that he wanted to close the sale right then and there. I never asked them to come into my house for a bid, but agreed to listen to what they had to say. No one in their right mind would close a deal like this without doing some research; both on the company and the expected cost of this type of work. This is the 5th aggressive solicitor we've had this week! We never get solicitors in our neighborhood, but we have had multiple this week, some in the same day. He asked if this was the residence of another name and when I said "no" he asked, "are you sure?" in a very condescending manner. Then he went on to try to ask about my personal medical equipment that was none of his business. Very unprofessional. I would never hire them! These solicicitors have reduced me to putting a sign on my door advising them that they are not welcome and do not knock unless they want to get cussed out. read more

Total scam company selling high priced attic insulation. The sales guy at the door will offer to schedule a free survey which of course ends in a quote for new attic insulation. Sales people are pushy and lie to you. They will use all kinds of tactics to get into your house, sometimes asking if they can have some water to refill their water bottles. It's all a trick to try and get a foot in the door. Do not let them into your home. They are not accredited by the BBB, and there are many complaints against them. read more

Two salespeople came to my door, which has a No Soliciting sign. The young girl pitched while the young guy hid around the corner. When I said no, he jumped out and was as pushy and rude as he could possibly be. When I finally shut the door he was talking smack on my porch. If you live in Sun City, beware, they are canvassing our area right now. Their website doesn't even list a phone number. read more

High pressure sales tactics as they come door to door. They visited my home 4 times in less that 24 hours. Asked my 12 year old son to contact me by phone. Told me that they are "legally required" to offer me a free inspection and that I have been receiving letters from the state over the last couple of years to advise me of this "law" to get my insulation "up to code". I finally told him to give my son back his phone and get off my property. He was pushy and unprofessional. read more

Ignored no soliciting sign, pushed a story about official-sounding mail I should have received, and relentlessly pushed to "schedule an inspection" (aka get a quote). Salesperson was very reluctant to identify who they worked for. We had a door-to-door canvasser from Reli Energy Solutions come to our house yesterday afternoon--very nice young lady--who set us up with an estimator (named Brandyn) to come out the following day. Came on time and did his inspection of our attic space, and gave us an entirely reasonable estimate for the insulation, etc. upgrade to be done by Elevate Insulation (contractor listed on the Energy Trust.org website as a participant) in about two weeks.
