Two and a half weeks before the extended warranty was due to expire on my Sears washer and dryer, once again, a technician from Reliable Appliance came to perform the final inspection and maintenance. He said that the washer was 'Good' but the dryer needed a new motherboard. I was thrilled that it was still under warranty. A week later, the part was installed, and I thought all was well. However, within a day or so, there was a squeak. I called Sears and, because the dryer was still under warranty, they said they would cover the repairs even if they were performed after the expiration, for which I was much relieved. Xavier came to the house to look at the dryer and immediately identified the problem - the bearings were going out. He called Sears for approval to fix the machine and ordered the parts. I happened to have the washer running at the time, and he said that the spin cycle was far too loud and that its bearings also needed to be replaced. Now, I was upset. We had done three or four loads of laundry since the first technician had given the washer a clean bill of health, and now it needed new bearings, four days after the warranty expired? How could the technician not have noticed that three weeks ago? Both machines needed new bearings, and he didn't pick up on that? Reliable Appliance tried to work with Sears to see if they would still cover the repairs, but they refused. I called Sears myself and told them how unhappy I was. Every year, for the past five years, I had had the machines inspected to ensure they were working properly, and the washer had been quite loud for a long time. I simply did not know that the noise indicated a problem. Because of my discontent, a Sears manager allowed me to extend the warranty for another couple years and fix the washer under the new plan, which is not their normal policy. That seemed preferable to paying several hundred dollars for the current repairs and then worrying about future problems. I requested that Xavier return to fix both machines, and he did a great job. I cannot begin to sufficiently express my appreciation for his knowledge, expertise, and integrity. Had it not been for his ability to recognize the problem with the washer and his honesty to tell me that I had a problem (in spite of the fact that he was only there to work on the dryer), I would likely have ruined an expensive washer and needed to buy a new one. I have met several technicians from Reliable Appliance over the last five years of maintenance, and they have all been professional and courteous. But, in the future, I will insist that Xavier be the technician they send. He is highly skilled at his trade, very personable, takes pride in his work, and really looks out for his customers. We live in a day and age when good customer service is a rare find. In my opinion, Xavier is exceptional. Because of the service I received from Xavier, I am giving Reliable Appliance four stars. If all of their technicians were as competent and qualified as Xavier, I would have given them five. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They called me two weeks prior to my appointment to schedule a date for them to come fix my dishwasher. I specifically asked them to make sure i have an appointment time after 3 pm as I cant take off work until after 3. They said no problem it'll be a call time between 3pm to 6pm. Perfect that can work for me. The tech called me at 11am the day before my appointment ready to come right then, I explained to the tech that I couldn't make it and could he come after 3pm. He proceeded to tell me that he gets off work at 4 so unless I made it there at 3pm he would have to reschedule me. I asked why when i set my appointment they said up to 6pm and he stated he started earlier then everyone else and that I would have to call and reschedule my appointment and they can move appointments around make sure im taken care of. So I call and try and reschedule my appointment and the lady on the phone proceeds to tell me that my appointment was scheduled for today not tomorrow and if i cant get to my house to have the services completed I would have to reschedule another week or two because they are completely booked. I asked why am i being told multiple different things and why am I now being pushed even further back when I have been waiting two weeks already and I gave the original lady every detail so I wouldnt miss this appointment. She just kept telling me there is nothing they could do but maybe squeeze me in a couple days earlier. When I asked her if there was nothing they could do she asked me again if i would reschedule for a later date and I said ive already been waiting is this going to happen again and my dishwasher is never going to get fixed? She then asked me if I would like to cancel the service request all together. I work for a company that always makes sure the schedule works for the client and we always try to make sure they are happy. Do not tell your customers one thing and then multiple other people in your company tell them other things. Makes you a very untrustworthy company. read more

Excellent service. I couldn't be happier! I recently had my new LG fridge ice maker and water dispenser quit working. I called Home Depot Warranty and filed a claim. They sent out a maintenance and lock company to repair the fridge and not only did he not repair the ice maker and water dispenser, he broke the freezer and refrigerator to where I had no cooling and freezing. I called Home Depot and told them the entire fridge is broken now and to NOT send out the same company. They sent Reliable Appliance and within 10 minutes the technician spotted a wrong part in the circuitry that was put in by the earlier company. He ordered the proper parts. When the parts arrived I called them back to schedule the repair. They stated they would be at my location between 9:00 AM and Noon the next day. At 9:45 AM the next day the repairs were made and I once again had a working refrigerator / freezer with ice maker and water dispenser. Paul was the technician. He was very knowledgeable and competent and very polite and respectful. I would definitely recommend Reliable Appliance to anyone needing appliance repairs! read more

I walked in with cash in hand to purchase a refrigerator. My first impression walking in was less than spectacular. The office was cluttered and dirty looking. Strong chemical smell filled the room. There were wires and loose cords hanging from the ceiling and the lady in the corner was on an inappropriate personal call while the girl next to her was taking business calls, trying to help another customer in front of her as she greeted and pointed me in the right direction. I walked to the back room and found a couple of fridges that I was interested in but could not find anyone to assist me. I then walked back into the office where The lady in the corner was finishing up her cellphone conversation . I asked her some info about the fridges. To my amazement she didn't even look up at me and she proceeded to tell me that it wasn't her department and she couldn't help me. She seemed as those my mere presence was an inconvenience to her. I've been a happy customer of Reliable since I moved into our home in 2005. Most recently Xavier looked at my 1 year old dishwasher, found the problem & ordered it. One week later (As Promised), the part arrived, he fixed it and before leaving he gave me directions on how to maintain it better; thereby extending the life of the cleaning arms. While he was here, he checked up on my non-functioning dryer and gave me an estimate to fix it as well. Several years ago Paul checked out our fridge's freezer, saw the problem, went back to Reliable's warehouse and replaced the broken ice maker same day. He even tightened the door handles when He saw they were a little loose. Very helpful and going the extra mile. Several times they have not been able to fix the problems like an old dryer part that was broken and a wash machine that had seen it's last days but at least they were honest about it not having a part with a permanent fix. read more

Around 2pm, Paul came to my house to look at my fridge. Earlier he called to make sure everything was still on for the day and if I was still ok with the time slot? It was so he told me he would call before he came, which he did. He came in with all the tools of his trade and made sure that my home would stay clean from his visit. He was friendly and comfortable in his job. He tol me what my options might be and proceeded to look at my fridge. As he worked he told me what he was looking for and what was good and bad. It ended up that my fridge was not repaired, he explained that he could do some tests to see exactly what was wrong but the cost of the test was a lot and it still might not work. Awesome customer service and an amazing technician. They were amazing about scheduling my appointment even though I had to reschedule it twice due to being out of town and forgotten appointments. The woman I talk to on the phone was awesome and completely understanding and not frustrated with me at all. And the technician came out and was able to fix the problem within 45 minutes even with the limited space in my laundry room. he only had about a foot and a half to work with to do the repair. He was super polite and did an awesome job!! Even vacuumed and cleaned the inside of my dryer for me! Which after six years it probably very much needed it. I want to say that this is a very professional company with great service. they tell you time and date of your appointment and they show up when they said they would. Reliable! Darin is great, very knowledgeable of the product and willing to go the extra to do research on things that don't add up from my new dryer. Much appreciated. The only thing that I must say, is a little annoying, is when you call and go thru the prompts to get to service, to get an appointment , you have to listen to this horrible jingle, and I mean its' bad. I had the wonderful opportunity of having Ben from Reliable Appliance come to my home for the second time in the last eight weeks to work on my washer, which is still under warranty. The first time he came over he was very courteous, very professional, very patient, and really took his time to explain everything to my husband and I. our water dispenser was working intermittently. ever time it stopped working i called Lowe's (it was under extended warrentee every time the service showed up it would start working just prior to his arrival. finally Austin (the repair man) gave me his personnel sell phone number. Long story short he came over on his down time to trouble shoot the problem while it wasn't working, found the problem. this young man is awesome. can't say thank you enough to reliable appliance for such awesome people. i would give them 10 stars if allowed read more

I needed a refrigerator fixed because it wasn't cooling, and their guy immediately knew what the problem was, based on the model I had and its particular quirks. What I particularly appreciate is that they admitted up front that the part they needed to replace was going to require a special order and it'd take some time to get shipped in, but as soon as it was in they had someone over to install it. I had two different repair men for two different jobs recently. Parts arrived promptly and the work was done quickly and efficiently both times. Darin W. was very professional and pleasant. It is not fun to have appliances break down, but I will call Reliable in the future if I have need of their services.
