I haven't formally done business with them, yet. But I just spoke to the operations manager, Jay, about some issues I had with the vents in my condo association and about 45 minutes later left the conversation with a detailed explanation of the layout of our ducts and the way the building is structured regarding my drier. He included numbers, recommendations and advice about order of operations for how I should go about getting my issue resolved. All without him being guaranteed any business. He genuinely wanted to help and was incredibly helpful and friendly the whole time. I'm very impressed by his level of knowledge, memory of the units in the association, and willingness to explain things to me. I would highly recommend doing business with them if that conversation was any sort of representation of what doing business would be like. I will be contacting this company for future work and recommending them to others. On top of that I'm always impressed by a strong safety culture in a company and they clearly won't take jobs that could put their workers in danger and will hold off a profit to make sure employees are safe. Last month I had my dryer vent cleaned out and made an appointment to have my ducting cleaned. I have to say I was impressed with Vent Doctors of Alaska LLC. The technician not only showed up on time and completed what was scheduled but gave me some very good information on my heater and hot water heater, which will probably save me a couple of thousand dollars They're worth every penny. Follow-up: I had Vent Doctors come back and clean my ducting. Jay was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. I knew my ducting hadn't been cleaned in the six years I'd owned the townhouse but it was confirmed it hadn't been cleaned SINCE CONSTRUCTION, fourteen years earlier! The whole system was filled with fine volcanic ash/silt/sand and the kitchen duct was full of constriction debris. To think that I've been breathing nasty air all this time turns my stomach. Well no more:) The one-man wonder cleaned them out, steam cleaned my vent covers, and took great care in making sure the whole system was spotless. Yesterday was the second time we used Vent Doctors of Alaska -- once in our condo and this time in a home we recently purchased. The fact that we're repeat customers should tell you something right away! With the purchase of a new home, "dryer vent cleanings" is always on our checklist -- delaying this maintenance only increases the risk of fire or ruining your dryer. First off, Jay is the consummate professional -- neat, clean, professional, and on time. He's the type of technician you welcome into your home. Next, the dryer vent cleanings were very thorough (we have two dryers in our home), including clearing off lint that had accumulated on our roof beside one of the vents! Excellent Service & Finished Product - First, they had a fast response time after I sent them my initial email requesting a quote and to other questions. They showed up on time for both scheduled appointments. They took into consideration our concerns and made sure our office was cleaned when we returned back the following morning. We have been in the building for over 20+ years our vents have never been cleaned. It has been a week since we received there service. Everyone is noticing the difference; air quality and how the office smells different, and how much better our air conditioner system is working because proper air flow is getting through. I have used other vent cleaning services, including one large heating company that also does vent duct cleaning. If you are using anyone other than Vent Doctors of Alaska you're wasting your money like I was. With the "other guys," it seemed like in 3 or 4 weeks, the vents were dirty and dusty again, and I was getting cleanings about every 12 months. Yesterday Vent Doctors came, did their thing, and found stuff in the vents from the previous home owner - 23 years ago!, A tennis ball, a plastic easter egg other junk! Plus lots of dirt! The "other guys" never even looked, just hooked up their vacuum and seemingly went on smoke-break. I'll never use the "other guys" again! Like I said, if you're not using Vent Doctors to clean your vents, you're wasting money and not getting clean vents and ducts! read more

CALL THIS PLACE FOR YOUR DRYER NEEDS!! I had a dryer installed by Lowes a few months and I started having problems with the vent. I called Jay at Vent Doctors and he was awesome! First off if you send a text he responds promptly. Secondly when he came to my house (showed up on time as scheduled) he realized the work would be a bit more involved. He moved around his schedule and was immediately able to fix my dryer. Not only did he fix it, during the process he showed me pictures and what he was going to fix. I have to say that Vent Doctors of Alaska by far have the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I honestly never knew the fire hazards in not cleaning your vents could cause, not only a safety hazard but also why my Samsung dryer kept dying. After servicing my dryer twice we finally found out that it was the vent obstruction that was causing the dryer to over heat. I've never knew this was even something we should do annual to eliminate the risk. These guys were absolutely amazing and again unbelievable helpful and have the best response time EVER! Vent Doctor of Alaska was recommended to me by Real Property Management Last Frontier. So glad I listened to their advice! Before that recommendation I thought that I'd go with the lowest price service because all dryer vent cleanings are the same right? We'll I would've been wrong. Jay the Vent Doctor inspected my entire vent run from the dryer to the exterior of my duplex. In the process he tested the airflow.
