I needed to get my fire extinguishers inspected on a Friday, but unfortunately they didn't have anyone available to help. That was pretty disappointing, especially since the business advertises 24-hour service. When I called, they asked me to come back on Monday, which I could have done, but the pricing was also on the higher end for a standard inspection. They quoted $30 per extinguisher, compared to Impact Fire, which charges about $10 each. Sean/ Owner claims to be in business for 20 years or more, if this were true, valued integrity would be first and for most. I don't know, you should know, or BAIT AND SWITCH would not be a part of his services for the amount of money being paid. Reliable service says it handles all fire alarm and sprinkler permits. Handles suggest all paperwork ( not Cad) that is needed. Sean / Reliable will accept your money and then tell your all the things it does not do. (See attached letter from Sean/ owner/ Reliable). I am " shocked " you didn't know this or that, or I'm not a consultant was his reply to everything. See attached letter. Sean / Reliable says they have 20 years of more of experience but does know the value of being forth coming , transparency, and the full scoop of what is needed to compete a job. RUN!!!! I am so disappointed with the way my fiancee and I have been treated. The company's owner, Shawn Elles, beat us out of thousands of dollars. We had an issue with a form we know nothing about (fire review sheet). Mr. Elles said he's been in business for more than 20 years but he did not know about the review sheet. When I asked he instantly went into I can't give you any of my past clients' names because that is a violation of their privacy. I wasn't going to ask but okay. After a few days of trying to find out about this form, I called Mr. Ellis back and he stated that to have the form completed it should only cost $100 to $200. That was a lie. The cheapest we found at that time was $4000. The form had to be filled out and stamped by an engineer or architect. Any time you are paying a professional 47,000 I believe they should be upfront about everything. We ran into a few situations where it cost us more money and Mr. Ellis could never give a direct answer. If you asked him several questions he gets upset. This also happened with another couple I am in contact with. They also went with another company because the cost kept going up, due to him not being transparent about expenses outside of the quote. After going back and forth and finding out about all these other expenses we thought should have been told to us upfront, Mr. Elles said he was not giving us a refund because we consulted with other companies before him and we should have known. Thank God I have it in writing. What kind of sense does that make? We went with him because we thought and believed he was a man of integrity. We are not the experts he was supposed to be. Beware of these reviews because from my experience they are bogus. I read them before hiring him as well. When you hire someone you expect them to inform you of the things to come or the possibilities of other expenses. The best he could do was...I am not refunding anything because you consulted with another business and I should have known even though that's not my line of work. I was so shocked to get such a peon response. P.S. He also messed up the drawing for my house and I had to pay to have them done over. I am now working with a company I am very pleased with.
