We lost our key and they were able to come right out to change our locks with new keys. Great service and results.

My wife was locked out of the house due to our electronic lock's battery dying in the garage and of course we keep the storm door locked which only locks from the inside. I called and they were able to get a tech out to our house within the hour, while he wasn't able to pick the electronic lock, which isn't a horrible thing, he was able to get the storm door to unlock. The tech was able to cut new keys for the electronic lock but was also kind enough to replace the battery for the lock. I am very happy that they were able to get my wife back into the house and we're very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this company. I was locked out of my garage this morning and had to be at work at 10 am. I called them around 9 am, they were here by 930 am. He was completely finished with paperwork, getting my door opened, and installing a different door in knob in 15 minutes. Essentially I was back in my garage less than an hour from the time I called. I needed someone to come and install a screen door handle lock for me. I am a member of Angie's List so I searched there and found Jim Ness from Reliable Lock and Safe. They were rated A based on reviews. I called and Jim answered all my questions and gave me the estimated price over the phone. I scheduled an appointment that same week. Jim came out and quickly got the work done for a fair price. I have since called again for Jim to install a deadbolt and to rekey the doorknob lock. Again, Jim came out and got the job done for a fair price. I noticed that Reliable Lock and Safe did not have a presence on Yelp so I thought I'd be the first to review. Arrived in the amount of time estimated and did the job as he said he would. The locksmith was polite and charged less than I have been charged by another place when I accidentally locked my keys in my car. Expensive and not a great experience. Multiple things occurred that were disappointing. One example, James installed our electric lock incorrectly and my husband had to reinstall after James left. So we paid $170 to have a deadbolt with keypad installed wrong and it was a deadbolt we provided. We won't ever be using again. read more

Although I called with one week's notice to inquire about having our locks changed to our new house and explaining it would be after our house closing on a friday afternoon, they took my business when it could have been turned down, I would have preferred that based on the experience I had. Came time for the day it seemed to be a huge inconvenience and no hesitation by man changing our locks showing said inconvenience and annoyance with me. I'm not a key expert, so yes ,I had questions and I underestimated how many locks I had. 1 stars because yes all the locks were changed. Customer service and overall experience? Bad and honestly, I would not recommend. More than anything, for a business to express irritation for something I called in advance for and simply asking questions? Made me feel stupid and not happy on an already tough day for a house closing. I don't understand and I don't recommend this business for that reason. Shop around for another locksmith. What can I say about Jim? He's great! My boss wanted our clinic's locks changed and thought we needed new locks. After talking with Jim and telling him what we needed, he said all he needed to do was re-key the locks. He was extremely fast and very knowledgeable. I'm not big on posting on these sites but I used the app to find these guys when I came home to find myself locked out of my house and I had a great experience. Jim was at my house in less than 10 minutes from the time I called and I was in the house just a few minutes later. I've never used a locksmith so I can't really compare the price but I didn't feel it was outrageous. read more

Had an appointment. Tech showed up 45 minutes after the 30 minute window. Not only were they not able to fix the lock, was told I needed to do research on the lock. No Parts, No solution. Door in the same condition. I was charged a $69 trip fee-late, no solution. Never again. read more
