I went on a Saturday morning which is absolutely the wrong time to get a tint on your car. The one thing that I can say was that those brothers worked. They took 5 cars in at a time and were whipping them out left and right. I know nothing about tints and picking the percentage but the guy was very patient while helping me choose a percentage. I like the warranty and how long it took them to finish. It was about two and a half hours but again, it was a Saturday. read more

My Challenger had illegal tints so I had to get them removed prior to passing inspection. I arrived at 5pm with no appointment and was literally out within 45 mins. On February 7, 2019, I agreed to pay Reliable Tint 416 Hampton Blvd, Capitol Heights MD, $120 to apply a vinyl wrap to the front of my car. The installer "Pops" told me that the installation was guaranteed for 90 days. Before leaving the business I identified two areas that I was not satisfied with. The installer told me to let the wrap settle and if the areas did not clear up I should bring it back after 3 days. On February 13, 2019 I returned the car to Reliable so that they could adjust the areas that were not acceptable. The installer (Pops) called me to the work area of the shop and pointed to an area on the front grille that he said was the reason why the wrap appeared to not be acceptable. By this point, he had removed 75% of the wrap from the large part of the grille. He further stated that I would have to pay to get the wrap re installed on the grille. I told him to stop working on the car and I would have to file a complaint and speak with the owner on a later date. At that point a black male presented himself as the owner and agreed with the installer stating that I would have to pay to get the wrap re installed. The guarantee should have included the re installation of the wrap . read more

I showed up with my car and the technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. Paid 190 for the tint job wasn't done right due to carelessness and rushing, debris trap behind tint and white clouds and bubbles never went away even after a month of curing. Worse part you have to work on their schedule and even if your the first person in the Dooor the day you come on their schedule for repairs they take care of everyone else and let you sit for two hours for a mistake that wasn't yours to begin with!!!! Reliable should be removed from this places name. I went to them to get my tint removed and then put back on, they removed the tint with no issue. When I returned to get the tint put on it took an extremely long time which made me suspicious that something was wrong so I got up and took a look at the guys work in action. The guy doing my tint didn't look as tho he knew what he was doing which led me to ask the manager if he was new. The manager assured me that the guy wasn't new and that everything was ok and I should be done in 15 mins. A hour passes and another employee see's me impatiently waiting and says the same thing "you should be done in 15 mins" another hour passes and he's finally done and pulls my car out. I go to inspect my tint this is by far the worst tint experience I have ever had. I show one of the employees my issue and he says that yea I told the manager not to have that guy do your tint because he isn't the normal guy who does the free hand work for us. Long story short some of the pieces on the rubber sealing around mr window had pieces that were cut and my tint was crooked and didn't even cover the entire glass. I attempted to work with the owner to get this fixed but he just dragged his feet so I ended up filing a claim with my insurance so we shall see how this turns out. Please save yourself the trouble and go to another tint shop. read more

Me and my husband came to get tint put on our car and get a car wash we were told the price was 220!!!! We declined the car wash to see how much it would be they then said $190 and then stated that we needed to remove glue off the windows to place the tint that put the price back up to 220. We asked how much is the glue removal and explained to them that on there website it says ALL CARS are $100 and they are false advertising they then went and said our car was different and that price was for their other location and he was gonna show us on his phone(didn't prove his case). My husband explained that he removed the glue and only the windshield was the only problem. One of the guys there started getting loud with me. We continued to get our car tinted(the worst idea ever). It was a rush job we have air pockets and glue marks on our back window(see pics below) we paid for glue removal and we still glue on our windshield. At the end of the service the guy that yelled at me "apologized" for his actions and for the staff. Dropped the price to 120 from 220!!!! We got our car and it smelled like a strong chemical for 2 weeks. I then called to speak with a manager that week. I was given a run around which lead to nothing. read more

After LOTS of research, I decided to go to Reliable Window Tinting because of the great reviews. I was not disappointed! I was greeted right away and shown the different levels of tints and they took the time to explain the process and how much coverage each tint would provide within legal limits. The service really is fantastic and efficient. I was in and out in under 30mins (granted it was at the end of the day and quiet), but that's impressive. There wasn't a single air bubble in sight and the lifetime guarantee was a huge attractor. I have sent two friends their way and I will definitely use them for other services. Not sure how so many people say they were in and out in under an hour. Even with an "appointment", was there for about two hours for a small four door sedan with no special features. If they could just stay off the phone and do the work, it would make for a better experience and you could get in and out since this is not a labor intensive procedure. The work was okay. I mean it is what it is - nothing special about window tint. No creases, wrinkles or bubbles, but wish they had cut out the area for the brake light in the back window, especially since I went with a darker than legal tint on back half of car and it would only take a couple of minutes to cut it out with a template. Also, prices were higher than originally quoted and they charge $5 to pay with credit card. But shop is clean and they have TV to watch while waiting. read more

BE CAREFUL: even though they're the professionals, it's apparently up to you to know the specifications of state law. Our car failed the VA inspection because the brake light was covered with tint and the headliner was a few inches too long. But that's "not their fault." Please keep those tips in mind and make sure you remind them. I really wanted to give a good review because I liked the guys so much on a personal level, but I didn't appreciate having to pay $65 to correct a problem that wasn't my fault in the first place. All employees were very skilled and meticulous about their work and treated each vehicle with the same amount of care. Was hoping for good service but looks like this shop concentrates more on volume than quality. Went on a sunday drove from Alexandria. The customer service was okay no desk person just people inside the shop which i'm fine with. The tint was mediocre didn't cover up the whole side window 1/8 inch isnt covered. rear window has marks were the tint was crumbled and now there is a line with air in it. Drivers window makes a noise of paper getting crumbled up when going up and down. Was offered the warranty and i got it later to find out they only do warranty work on Monday. Sorry but i'm not taking a day off work just to fix something that should have been done correctly the first time. Pay the extra and go to a quality shop. read more

Since they have multiple people working the job, it took about 40 mins. The waiting area is clean, comfortable and smells good. Cable television is available--you can choose your own channel.
