Cyril from Your Detail-Mobile Car Detailing did an excellent job detailing my car! I needed to take photos of my car for resale and Saturday was the first good weather day in a while. I messaged and submitted an appt request online for another detailing company on Yelp that was referred to me by a friend, and I did not get a response. I was able to make an appt online and confirm a date/time immediately. I got a confirmation text and email with an arrival window. Left a message for this company a few days ago and got no response. Just called and someone answered the phone who was very standoffish and wouldn't answer any basic questions about the business. I own high end cars and simply wanted to speak with someone who would actually be coming out to wash my cars. Requested to speak with the owner or have a call back from them at a later time considering it's the weekend and maybe they weren't working today, but it was to no avail. I owned a mobile car detailing company 12 years ago and was just curious about the owner, what their experience was and specifically what area or part of "DC" they were based out of. I know a lot of people in the DMV area and may have known them. Who knows? The person who answered the phone was again, unwilling to answer any basic questions, kept asking me if I was trying to sell him something and proceeded to hang up on me. In my experience of currently owning 3 small businesses myself, including my knowledge of the industry owning my own mobile detailing company for 3 years in the past, this company is either a remote company based out of another state selling services to people online and finding local companies to sell their leads to at a steep premium or the person who answered the phone is a virtual assistant with poor customer service skills. I would've expected better either way. I don't often post many reviews anymore, but was compelled to as my suspicion is this is not a locally based company and if that's the case (would love to be proved wrong and things made right) these types of companies take money out of local businesses pockets and are growing at an alarming rate! 0 out of 5. Seems to be working out for them so far based on their ratings which is what drew me to them initially, but would not recommend. Do your own research? Just my two cents *** Edit - Just wrote this review and went back to review their "about us"... they give a Silver Spring, MD address, but the person who answered the phone 6/21/25 said they were based out of "DC"... also, if you search the Maryland business entity search website, there is no company registered with the state under that name. My detailer was excellent, he was prompt on the early side of the time window. He was very flexible as I live in a garage in an apartment complex, which can be a bit tough to maneuver. My car collected some terrible stains and dog fur over the years and Olga and her team did an amazing job removing the stains and fur! First, obtaining a quote via Yelp was easy. Stacie was responsive and answered all my questions. First available appointment was about a week out but that's not bad. Once set, I received confirmation and reminders. The amount of communication was just enough and relevant. I knew the time frame of arrival at confirmation, then a closer estimate morning of. The time frame given to me was 12-2 and I appreciate Olga showing up right at 12 instead of closer to 2 like many other services. Second, Olga was knowledgeable and up front with what can be done and the result was exactly what she predicted. Upon arrival, she took a quick look at my car with me and although there are multiple big, very noticeable stains, Olga only asked about the small oval stain in the back seat. To me, they all look similar but Olga was able to identify it's a difficult stain to remove by just looking at it. The result is just that. All the other stains were removed and the oval one was minimized to the point where you would have to take a long look to see it. Third, the pet hair is gone! I was more focused on the stain removal so I didn't care to take before pics of the pet hair but my car interior is completely free of pet hair. I'm absolutely satisfied with the service and for the price that I paid too! read more
