I went through the Yelp professional to request a Air Conditioner repair search and contacted Katie, they were first and fast to offer a bid and was reasonable. She called on the following Monday right at 8:00 AM, scheduled between 9-12, help was here at 9:30 and repair was done before 10:00. So very helpful and knowledgeable. This family business is in unincorporated Ukiah and about to be annexed into the city, so happy I was able to support this family business as they prepare for higher business fees and sales tax and restrictions on how they conduct business. He came at about 10 am and was able to diagnose and repair our problem in short order. Many times I found their workers left units open, panels uninstalled, parts scattered on roof after "repair". One time they were called to repair an older unit. The tech took one look and said the unit was too old for repair and insisted we buy a new unit. I replaced the fan motor myself and it worked just fine. They replaced a rooftop unit and left gapping holes on roof. They act like they are the only game in town because other companies are too busy to respond. Wow. Please do not use any other HVAC service. Everyone says they rarely write reviews. Well, I don't usually either. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. I have a severe autoimmune disease that gets worse with heat. So my A/C stopped working. I am panicking because my health will go downhill without cool air and I could have a heart attack. I am new to the area and didn't know who to call. Someone referred me to a business that was fairly new, and I used him (single owner). After spending 20 minutes looking at some things on my A/C, I was told it was dead and I needed a completely new A/C. He also told me I needed to replace my furnace as well or the new A/C would be too powerful for the old furnace. I was given a quote of over $7k and pressured into making a decision. I went back on yelp and put out a request for a second opinion. This is when the SUPERMAN of the HVAC business, Reliance Enterprises, messaged me they could come by the next day either in the AM or PM. YAY! Fast forward to the next day, and Lee from Reliance Enterprises shows up with his gear, on time. I tell him what is going on and he reassures me how many years he has been doing this (20+). After spending at most 10 minutes to first test if the "contactor" was working, he figured out the problem. The contactor was dead. He put in a new part that cost only $35. He saved me $7K. The other company run by one person told me they had tested the "contactor" and it was fine. A complete lie. I was shocked someone would take advantage of me so horribly. So PLEASE, if you have any A/C or Furnace issues, don't call anyone else but Reliance Enterprises. They have been around for 50 years, family-owned. In January 2022, Reliance Enterprises HVAC tech responded to the problem of my heater not coming on or quitting suddenly and replaced the mother board for over $800. However, the problem continued intermittently until I was without heat most of the time between October and January '23. Lee at Reliance would not respond to my frequent messages that Katie said she would pass on to him about the on-going malfunction despite his costly "fix." The one time he finally did call me back, he said, "I just don't think I want to come back to work on your oddball system." My system was six years old--a Bryant, standard in the industry, and anything but oddball. My electrician Trino Hernandez saw my post of woe on Fb and called me the next day. On that late afternoon after they had all worked a full day, Trino showed up with his team member Eric, and Manuel (Manny) Lopez of Next Generation Heating and Cooling. Manny identified the problem within minutes: a malfunctioning inducer motor. He called to order a new one in Santa Rosa, drove down early the next morning to pick it up, and installed it for me in less than a half hour. When I call, they are very cordial. Willing to work with my schedule. Given that I have used them for many years they usually have the part that is needed, without ordering. If they do have to order, they are quick/efficient with the process. The technicians that come, are fully knowledgeable and have a smile. The technician came out to give us an estimate, an we were pleased with his professionalism. He called later and left a message with a quote. In trying to call back, the office number in Ukiah says the number we called is not good, the tech's number is not his, and no one answers at the Willits or Lakeport numbers. Could not believe the service and speed as to which it was delivered. I contacted Reliance when my central cooling failed. The tech responded the same day and told me that a part had failed and he would need to order a new one. Within three days the part had arrived,the tech replaced it, and left without even me knowing they were there. Two trips, time to replace the part, and the cost of the part itself and the cost was still very reasonable. My central air conditioning is back to working like new. I recently had reliance come out to fix my furnace and was told I needed a new switch.They returned a week later with the new one and had it installed in 15 min. I was given a bill for $586.00 and was told that the coast of the switch was $175.00.I found the same switch #R8184G4009 for $59.99 on the internet. You do the math. read more

At midnight of the day we moved from Redwood City into our new home in The Rivieras, Kelseyville, CA we turned on heat and smelled burning smoke...called fire dept who were there in 3 mins and located the outside furnace as the problem - they shut it down. Neighbors said to call Jonas, rep came out, never even looked inside the furnace and quoted $5,000 for a new one - charged us $139 for the visit!! Called Sears who examined our Day&Night heat/air conditioner for $89 and said "call Reliance in Ukiah".. they're your Best Bet! Thank God we did... Katie was terrific - sent Lee who said we didn't need a NEW furnace or motor and brought a Motherboard to replace the one that had burned out! - cleaned the whole thing, stayed an hour running all systems and billed us only $447 on our VISA!!! They are Ethical, Professional, and Truthful! Don't even bother talking to anyone else - and NO they did not charge a Travel Fee - they waived it as they combine dates of service with jobs they had in Kelseyville! read more
