As an engineer/inspector, I am very selective with my contractors. When the owner, Tyler, showed up for an estimate, he was very professional and provided three options. His prices were very reasonable and he suggested the best systems for our house. I decided to go with Mountain House Mechanical based on their professional knowledge and price. The system I chose was the most expensive option with a five-zone ductless heat pump system with a 48K BTU outside unit with a 5-port branch box, four ceiling head units, and one wall head unit. For the installation, Tylor arrived with a technician, Ryan. They covered the work area with blankets and cleaned the area each day after work by sweeping and mopping. After the installation, they showed me how to operate and maintain the unit. The noise level is very low and I can hardly hear them going. My wife and I are very happy with the system's performance and installation process. I highly recommend Mountain House Mechanical for any heat-pump heating/AC installation. When owner Tyler Wilson came by and took his measurements, I knew from the moment I met him that he was our guy. He was professional and thorough and also made excellent suggestions with regards to placement of the units throughout our house. He also figured out how to hide most of the electrical and minimize the channels to each unit. His price was competitive, and even though he is fairly young, he's been at this for at least 12 years, having trained at Elevate, a respected local installer, for a number of years. He showed up right on time on the day of installation with everything needed, including his assistant, who happens to be his younger brother. They were very efficient and had the whole system up and running within three days. Tyler is extremely friendly, yet also very polite. He has a habit of calling everyone "sir," and even though I said it wasn't necessary and asked him to please call me by my first name, he kept slipping back into addressing me in a more formal manner, about which we both had a good laugh. This guy knows how to install a Mitsubishi split system and runs a piece of software called Mitsubishi Diamond, which ensures maximum efficiency. Tyler tailored his suggestions to my needs. Also, any questions I had after the installation were answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. The installation and the products both come with a 12 year warranty.
