The moment I stepped thru the door I was greeted with a smile . I had an appointment with a tax advisor in no time . Now I will tell you the rest of the story . My tax advisor was Donna Smith . She has been with Block Associates for a long time and is the most knowledgeable tax person I have met . She is also the most caring . She was able to answer my tax questions , they were not at all simple and took a lot of hard work and time to solve . When I left , with my needed papers in hand , I felt like i had been blessed to have found such an intelligent and diligent professional . I ended up here after a disastrous experience at another H&R Block location (look at my previous…read morereview if you're so inclined). Long story short, I got some helpful information here, but because of H&R Block's outrageous filing fees, I ended up filing myself online. The woman I talked to was a bit strange (I felt more like I was seeing a fortune teller than a tax advisor), but she was generally able to answer my questions. Unlike the previous H&R Block employee I saw, she went through the filing process with me and told me how she got the numbers. And then she informed me if she were to file for me now, I'd be paying a total of about $300, which is ridiculous. Especially consider I could use H&R Block's online software to file for free, which is what I did. So, overall, this is a decent place if you need some guidance or have tax questions. But there's no way in hell I'm giving them my money so they can help the federal government take even more of my money. They already get enough out of me with student loans as it is. Note that this location is separate from the other H&R Block location on Huffman Road. This one is in a building near the Huffman Post Office.

Came in to help prepare a relative's tax return since they are deceased and I needed help. The tax…read morepreparer was helping another individual and he was a little irate, so I was impressed when she kept her cool and stayed with the program. He left to get more information and then it was my turn. I gave her everything and explained the situation and she started to prepare the 2016 tax return right away. The lady was really nice and is going through a similar situation of my relative ailed of. My heart went out to her. All in all I was in and out in a half hour and it cost me $59. One downside is I didn't see any dancing foam statues of liberty. That would have made my day.
