I love me some fish... now hold on, it is not what you think! I have had my wallet squeezed and my nads twisted by people who have claimed to be able to help me achieve the "fish tank of my dreams"... after almost giving up, I turned to yelp.com for some advice... and no one listed for aquarium service... so I went on the "other" search engine and found David at Reliant Aquariums. Let me preface this review by saying the aquarium technician, David, just left my house and the service was so good I was COMPELLED to write a review. David arrived at the stroke of 8am which was the beginning of my 2 hour window to expect a technician. David was kind and very knowledgeable. He asked my goals for my tank and we discussed my options to attain those goals. At no point did David seem rushed to finish my tank and move on to the next customer. David cleaned every corner and crevice of algae from my tank. He also explained several aspects of keeping an aquarium within safe parameters for its inhabitants. I've spent thousands of dollars setting up my tank, TRYING to maintain it, buying fish, coral, pumps, filters, etc. I should have used an at-home service like Reliant Aquarium from the get-go. I would have saved a lot of money and got better results. I would recommend Reliant Aquarium to any aquarist, from the newest newbie to the most devoted. I had Reliant conduct a thorough cleaning of my 50 gal acrylic aquarium earlier this week. I normally do all of the work myself, but after a couple of busy months, the aquarium was filthy and would have taken me several hours to clean, if not all day. So I called Reliant and scheduled an appointment. A few days later, Noah showed up ready to work! It took him less than half the time it would have taken me to clean everything. He cleaned the tank, canister filter, and all connections. He explained that the tank was so bad he couldn't get the water crystal clear at the time of cleaning, but that it would clear within a few days of running. Two days later the water was clear as promised. Noah was professional the entire time, but he was also one of the friendliest people I've met in a while. I will be calling Reliant in two weeks to come make another pass, even though it doesn't look like it needs it. I highly recommend Reliant for your aquarium needs. read more

First off, I don't leave many reviews, but David's service and expertise was beyond reproach. His customer base includes saltwater (and maybe fresh water - I didn't ask) tanks as large as 2800 gallons and as small as 7 gallon nano reef tanks. I originally reached out to Reliant Aquariums to see if someone was able to drill a 55 gallon tank I was going to use to upgrade my current 20 gallon saltwater. After finding out that drilling tanks was not a service he was comfortable performing, we started talking about other options, and he recommended a 60 gallon tank with a built in overflow and predrilled holes in the bottom of the tank - and it was as inexpensive as any other similar sized tank I could buy. When the tank arrived, he came to my home and consulted me on the best way to do my upgrade, what kind of pump I would need, my skimmer, substrate, etc. It's a good thing that he did too, because he brought up many things I did not know or consider even after reading multiple forums. I actually purchased the wrong type of sand, which could have caused issues in keeping my parameters stable in the long run. After the consultation, he ordered some plumbing parts, a pump, and a skimmer (better than the one I had and it cost less too!), and I prepared everything else to make the transfer. I'm pretty hands on, and I wanted to do most everything myself, and David was available to assist me during the whole process. He just finished the plumbing a few days ago, and it looks so much better than anything I could do myself! I'm really happy I got a hold of him because he was able to do the things I was not comfortable doing. I have been using Reliant Aquarium for my 500gal saltwater tank for the past year. David & Crystal are always very protectivie of my home and furniushings while working in my home. My tank has never been any clearer that it is now than in the past ten years. I have also lost far less fish than ever before since they began maintaining it. David & Crystal always go out of their way to accomodate any special requests I have including moving a cleaning date around for a special event etc... Their billing system is simplistic without paper statements, checks, envelopes or stamps. It is done weely and is alway accurate. I first met David when I bought his 180 gallon saltwater tank in 2007. At that time, David hadn't started Reliant Aquarium Services but he helped me move the tank to my house, a distance of 55 miles. He then set up the tank in my family room where it remained until I had to sell it last week. Throughout the 12 years we've known each other, he has personally taken care of the tank and his knowledge and ability to deal with any issue extends to his wonderful staff.
