To my delight, I was able to get simultaneous appointments for my little and I the same day I called. The salon is small but clean and has a nice atmosphere. Sharol, the owner, and Jax were our nail technicians. We arrived a few minutes before our appointments and we we were taken right in. Both ladies did a nice job with our services. Sharol and Jax were easy to talk to and offered good tips on activities and dining around Banff and Canmore. I prefer supporting small businesses and Body Concepts was everything I look for in a small business; friendliness and good customer service. My little and I had a nice afternoon with Sharol and Jax and we'll definitely book again if we're ever back in Banff.

Beth was my masseuse and she was excellent. Also spent a little time in the hot tub prior to my massage. The view of the mountains was excellent. I did a bit of shopping downtown and decided to treat myself to a little spa treatment at the hotel. Meadow Spa + Pools was worth every penny! Meadow Spa + Pools is located in the Moose Hotel, which is where I had stayed, so I just had to stumble over there in my bathrobe and flippy floppies for my appointment. Since it was a last minute thing, I booked my massage about an hour before my scheduled time and they were incredibly accommodating and squeezed me in no problem. I went with an aromatherapy massage and my masseuse helped me pick out a scent that would help me relax. I also informed him that stress tension is my biggest issue and that my shoulders/back were basically FUBAR at all times. Also, my legs (thanks to some a massive ice hike up Sulfur Mountain), were incredibly sore. Gratefully he really spent time focusing on those areas, working out all the tension and pain. He checked in with me regularly on pressure and it just felt wonderful. I felt so relaxed after my session. Admittedly, I'm not entirely sure I'm someone who really responds well to aromatherapy (most scents actually give me a headache) so I personally wouldn't add that piece again in the future but the massage was glorious. As a spa guest you have access to their private hot tub, lounge (with tea, water infusions, snacks and lounge chairs) and the hotel hot pools and sauna on the roof. The lounge and the treatment rooms are clean and soothing. My massage table was heated and felt very cozy. It's easy to feel chilled in the winter while in the mountains but they do a nice job keeping you warm here. As a guest of Moose, I already had access to the rooftop pools so I decided to take advantage of the private spa hot tub after my massage. The private hot tub had the same amazing mountain view as the roof tubs but it was smaller and more intimate. I was the only one in there, in fact, so I got to relax deeply. This hot tub has a lovely waterfall and the firepit is located directly next to it, so it felt cozy and luxurious all at once. Loved every second! Worth every single penny. Would highly recommend a visit here. Just be sure to give yourself a little time to enjoy all those extra amenities!

I must…read moremention that I am a massage therapist and have been for 10 years so I am very familiar with treatments and spas. Rapunzel was great! The spa is very "mountain-esque" it feels like a ski chalet. My only disappointment was that there is no option to change out of your street clothes. I sat waiting in the lounge in my jeans and it just didn't feel relaxing. I also asked if there was a steam room and was told no, but then saw one? That must be for special treatments I guess. The lounge is cozy with magazines, tea and water but I think this could be upped by offering some cookies to snack on and add robes to the mix! Side note: if you have trouble with stairs you may want to avoid this place. Negatives aside... I had the greatest massage from a therapist named Ellen. If you book a massage here I highly recommend her. She is attentive and gives one of the best massages I have ever had. Every time I go to Canmore I will make a point of booking with her. So great! Overall an excellent experience and I will be back.

They called me 15 minutes before my appointment asking if I can push it back 20-30 minutes, I informed them I had to work directly after and wasn't sure if I was going to have time, when I arrived the esthetician was still late for an appointment that, so I beat her there, and had to wait for her to set up, we didn't start until 1042, pretty unacceptable. This was the response I got. " Im wondering if with all your experience, you've not had a dry pedicure? There are a few places in calgary that do dry services which is where I based my services from. Sorry the file was sharp, I will let macka know and pass the suggestion on." Keep in mind I have over 7 years of experience in this field.

She is a lovely young lady, but the service itself fell very short. I don't have a ton of money to spend right now, so when I saw the price of a "marvelous manicure" was $48, I was expecting absolute perfection. Instead what I got was having to ask for my nails to be cleaned up (removing the dirt from underneath), ragged cuticles, uneven polish, and a cut on my pinky finger from an emery board that was too sharp. Really overall just a poor job. I could have done a similar or better job on my own and not be out $50. I don't think I'll be returning, at least not for a manicure, any time soon.
