So not my first time at Remedy Coffee and probably not my last. I love a quaint patio paired with delicious coffee. I ordered a large iced Dulce de Leche latte and a bacon breakfast burrito. The menu is pretty extensive and they offer both sweet and savory treats ontop of the coffee and tea offerings. The space is really nice both inside and out. They also sell cool local art and merchandise worth checking out. They are located on the cusp of Downtown and Old Town right next to Duran's Pharmacy. Morning necessities! This morning Sara and I cozying up in remedy coffee. It's so warm next to the fire . I tried the lavender honey kombucha and Sara has a lavender latte with almond milk. My kombucha was fresh , draft and so delicious. For a pint it was $4.50 which is about $1 more compare to buying it at sprouts , Whole Foods, Trader Joe's. Super cute coffee shop off Lomas. We entered the shop thru a south entrance, but first walked through an outdoor seating area that was a cozy, comfortable backyard or garden setting. Yep, the baristas at this essential shop have not thrown away their shots, and their enthusiasm and optimism bleeds through the thick plastic barrier separating them from those of us still anticipating our second dose. The drip coffee at Remedy is fairly delicious. It is a cozy location near Old Town Albuquerque, next to Duran's pharmacy, and has a very welcoming environment. I learned that it is the same owners as Duran's and the quality of the service, drinks, and food shows! The chocolate mint muffin was soft yet chewy, and I did not get notes of mint at all. It tasted more like a brownie than a muffin. It was dry and chewy, It definitely could have tasted better, it tasted more amateur than desired. The drip coffee was tasty but it did not taste different than coffee anywhere else. Although, I did appreciated the quick service. The service is amazing and everyone is super sweet and kind. It's definitely a good location to grab a drink and work from or have meetings at, as it is not very crowded in the afternoon. I would come again and give it another try with different drinks and snacks. Stopped by their sister store yesterday, Durans Pharmacy, and this place caught my eye! I couldn't wait and knew I had to come back to try this coffee house. I was not disappointed! The customer service was top noche, the coffee absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere extremely relaxing. Their patio, not pictured, is adorable as well AND the furry friends are welcomed! Anyone who loves dogs already has an A in my book! Being in healthcare, I absolutely love the take on the medicine idea and how they deliver a dose of deliciousness! I've been wanting to try Remedy for awhile now, so happy that I had the opportunity this morning. I was greeted immediately by Matthew, he was baking fresh muffins, but he took a moment to patiently describe every item in the display case. Everything sounded so yummy that I was stumped, I settled on a freshly baked puff pastry with ham and Swiss cheese....oh my. I knew I'd need something a little sweet also, when I asked about the brownie that also looked scrumptious, Matthew offered it to me complimentary!! So kind!! It tasted fabulous and I would have happily paid for it. All the bakery items are made on site. After everything I had already eaten, I was eyeing the muffins that just came out of the oven as I was leaving. Ashley made me a perfect cappuccino, which would seem obvious in a coffee place, but trust me that many fail at a proper espresso drink. They have a cozy fireplace inside, it was the perfect setting to enjoy my coffee and pig out on my treats. Matthew and Ashley both chatted with me making me feel completely welcome as a recent Albuquerque transplant. The charm of an old town house turned into a coffee shop has made this place a true delight. The three of us each tried a different specialty latte and were pleased by all of them. Some things are just meant to be. Of course I'd like to take credit for finding this perfect coffee shop, but I can't. I believe we found each other. Or maybe neither of us had any control in finding one another, the moon could be responsible. I have a friend that believes in astrology zodiac signs and the more she describes it to me, the more I want to believe too. She told me how different stages of the moon can make people feel or do different things. I like the idea of the moon having control over me. Then I don't have to feel so responsible for my thoughts or actions. The only problem is that when I do something good I want to be able to take responsibility for that.
