It has been 9 months since our remodel. The kitchen cabinets are horrible!! The paint chips so easily and feels so thin. I have had to touch up the paint twice in 9 months. The molding is particle board, so it doesn't hold the paint. The molding fell off the base and split off the island on Thanksgiving day. We had friends and family there and they can't believe the poor quality!! It was so embarrassing. The shelves they built have fallen multiple times and broken a bunch of my things. I contacted Erick and he did not care and blamed my jewelry that was chipping the paint. I wear one ring on one of my fingers. I sent him pictures of the particle board that broke, chipped paint, fallen shelves, and he had no response. Wow! We spent probably about $80,000 on our particle board kitchen. I am sooo disappointed. I'm the most disappointed that he won't fix the issues. BEWARE!! read more

Remedy Residential is top-notch, we had a plan to install built-ins and a Murphy bed for an upstairs bonus room. Not only were they the only place in town that offered a full project management option in-house, i.e. design and construction but they also came and gave a preliminary design appointment without requiring a non-refundable deposit. That really helped us feel comfortable with them in terms of their capability and get a good understanding of pricing. In addition to all that their professionalism, promptness, and flexibility were spectacular. The final product came out better than expected and we're over the moon with the outcome. Any future renovation projects we have will be done through Remedy. I highly recommend them for any big or small project, you won't be disappointed! read more

This company was recommended by our painting contractor when it was discovered during the exterior painting that we had some siding damage, (there was also some dry rot under a window trim piece), on one side of the house that needed replacing and repaired. I called Eric and he came out and took a look at the damage. He told me then that the job was too small for his company but he would be glad to let his experienced workers do it as a side job. I was okay with that and he said he would get back to me. Ten days passed with no contact from him. I again called him to see if any of his workers wanted the job. He then said that he was going to take the job after all since he wasn't sure if there was more extensive dry rot under the siding that needed replacing which may make it more complicated to repair. I agreed to that and asked when he could start the work. He said he had some jobs to finish up and would get back to me with a start date. Another 10 days passed. I again contacted him. He said he could start the job the week of Oct. 24th. I asked if the week of 11/1 was okay..he said he was starting a big job that week so it would have to be the last week of Oct. That week came and went....no contact. I finally made a decision to give him one more chance and called him again the 2nd week of November. He was very apologetic, he had simply forgotten about our job. He guaranteed me it would be completed in full by the end of the week beginning, 11/14/22. Here we are....Friday, 11/18/22 and we again have heard nothing from him. (Btw, the number of days counted are business days, not calendar days.) Why any customer, big job or small, would find this of lack of customer service or communication acceptable is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, he comes across as a really nice guy, I just find it shocking that someone with their own successful business finds this okay? I get it if you simply don't want to do a job no matter what the reason is but for the love of god, just say so! Don't leave someone hanging. Make repeated decisions to do the job and then just go silent. Along with the loss of this "small, $2,000 job, he also lost a kitchen remodel followed by a major Master Bath remodel. His loss...and, btw, loss of his five star rating. read more

Eric was an extremely professional gentleman. My wife and I, had Eric install a cooktop and downdraft that was very involved, including cutting granite. He is very detailed and a perfectionist which is really hard to find. Eric was very aware of his surroundings and he put the health of my family first by being extremely careful and sheeting everything before cutting the granite. He always kept a positive attitude and made you feel at ease during the entire difficult, in depth process that our kitchen posed. He has great communication skills and I highly recommend him for any and every job you may have!! I would recommend Remedy Residential to anyone and everyone. We are absolutely thrilled with the remodel Eric did for us as well as with how great it was to work with him. His skill set is immense along with his knowledge about old homes and new. In our case, our house in North Boise was built lathe and plaster in the 1930s. He knew exactly how to handle it and everything that comes along with working on it. He maintains good communication, has great recommendations and in general is an all around great guy. Highly recommend Eric and Remedy Residential! I can't say enough good things about our experience with him. Eric remodeled an existing bathroom, added a walk-in pantry to our kitchen (no small feat; this required removing walls and using some existing garage space), and completely renovated a junky mudroom area into an amazing laundry room and full bathroom. Start to finish, Eric was extremely professional, SO patient answering all of our questions, and very willing to walk through each detail step-by-step. We've done other home remodeling over the years and working with Eric has by far been the best experience we've had. The projects finished on time and in at least one situation, we came in under budget! We are already planning on using Remedy Residential with some future home remodeling and shop building. It's clear Eric is very good at what he does as a craftsman and as a businessman - he is fantastic at communicating expectations and timelines. I highly recommend Remedy Residential. Eric and his crew recently remodeled our small home's kitchen which had been severely water damaged by a leaky dishwasher line. He also replaced the flooring throughout the home. From start to finish Eric was great. I had so many questions about the materials and overall look and design for which Eric made excellent suggestions that were in line with what I wanted but couldn't exactly pinpoint without his expert eye. Eric proved to be a great communicator and listener. He is well organized, intelligent, and professional. On top of that, he is easy to work with. The vendors he recommended were all great, and I'm very satisfied with all aspects of the job. I would hire Eric again in a heartbeat! His crew was really great, too, and they deserve big kudos.
