The very first thing I noticed on entry was the big…read moreProgress Pride flag hanging from the rafters-- immediately I knew I was among my people: the queer and nerdy! Approximately half the store is dedicated to various reading materials like comics, manga, and fiction. The other half is board games, RPGs, and supplies for said games (like mini figs and paints, dice, etc.). Throughout the store you'll also find toys, posters, collectibles, comic/trading card storage, and more. There's a lot to look at, so if you've never been, I recommend giving yourself at least an hour to browse around. This game shop also doubles as a community gathering and event space. There's lots of room and tables/chairs in the back to accommodate gamers who want to come in and play or hang and be social. I'm sure they have many specific goings-on each week (for example, I saw a sign advertising mini fig painting every Monday evening!); you can check out their event calendar on their website. There was also a gender ambivalent restroom and water fountain/water bottle refill station nearby. Some beverages were available for sale near the front. It is also quite obviously a safe space, as I saw in addition to the hanging pride flag an entire section dedicated to queer and trans materials, and an end cap as well for POC and disabled folk. I can't say how much it means to me as a trans person to see this kind of representation clearly on display during a challenging political time. I hadn't gone with the intention of buying anything (isn't that typical? lol) but to be honest, when I saw the queer support they were displaying, I wanted to support them back. It wasn't hard to find a couple things I wanted in order to give them my financial business. If you too prioritize supporting local queer businesses, consider buying from here! I normally wouldn't have been up this far north from where I live, but I was headed to a Yelp Elite event a little early and decided to see what else was in the area. So glad I stopped in here! Comic Book College is a fantastic store with more back issues than you could imagine! We have…read morevisited a few times and always spend a minimum of an hour here. There are so many comics and graphic novels they are sure to have what you are hunting for. They have discounted graphic novels, $1 bins, and other discounted options available. They also have figures and collectibles. The employees are always friendly and welcoming. We will continue to come in and browse the back issues when we are in the neighborhood.

A nice couple of tall shelves of Manga; if I was looking to fill out a set this would be a good place to start. My nephew saw a few he wanted. The RPG/D&D area supported one gaming table and lots of figure stuff though more sections of not tightly organized stuff. You could do some bin diving and probably find a few treasures. High up, there were many many collectible figures and stuff. Out to look at a bit high up, and a few backed cabinets. You'll need to ask for help. Nice collection, though. Prices were competitive. We picked up a few things and were on a tour of all the stores on the west side. I was a little overwhelmed by all the stuff I am not into, but I liked the D&D section, but it needs a little attention.
