THESE GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! We were coming down to the wire trying to find a good DJ. We went through about half a dozen interviews before finding someone we could trust for our big day! The first thing that struck our eye was the professional website and the mixes they provided on their site. As soon as we met with these guys my wife and I were 100% on board! They are super professional but also laid back and easy to work with. They were very responsive to our emails/calls and we were never left in the dark. We gave them some of our music tastes and song suggestions, which were all over the place, and they totally made it their own but kept it within our parameters and just killed it! We recently had Simon DJ at our wedding in June of this year and he was phenomenal. DJ Ben was TRULY amazing and we could not have chosen a better DJ for our wedding. Me, my husband, our families, as well as all of our guests can't stop talking about how great he was, and how fun & incredible the music was the entire night. The music for our wedding was one of our biggest priorities, so we did a ton of research and found Mike of the Remixologists. He was absolutely amazing. Completely accommodating, easy going and also wonderful personality. We've known Simon (DJ Taiga) since he was dj-ing parties in our college years at Penn, and always were fans of his music! It was a no-brainer when we got engaged that we would want him to DJ our wedding, it was probably the easiest choice we had to make regarding vendors for our wedding! At the end of my wedding the first thing did was jump on the stage to give Simon a hug. He MADE our wedding. Our wedding was the most fun dance party we ever could have wished for. Simon totally got what we wanted but made it even better than we could have imagined. People kept coming up to us, while dancing, all night, to scream variations of "this is the best ever!" , "where did you find this dj?!" and and "omg this song!!". We couldn't agree more! We already miss the music, it was so good that I ate my dessert while dancing because I didn't want to stop. choosing the right dj for your wedding is one of the hardest vendors to choose. it will pretty much decide whether or not your guests have fun and your wedding is a success. that being said, we are so glad to have found dj mike! he is not only a pleasure to work with, he is an amazing dj! he was always in communication with us and made the process of planning so easy and even fun. i was the worst bride ever and didn't get any of our song selections to him until the night before and he just went with it. i could tell he truly cared and wanted us to have the most perfect wedding music that matched us. as it became closer to the date he emailed me reminders, scheduled phone calls and made suggestions, all in the most patient and easy sort of way. on the day of he was there before me and pretty much all set up already. amazing! everyone raved about dj mike during and even after our wedding! we explained to him that we wanted him to throw in a lot of old school music that we grew up with. he completely understood and all night he played current songs and would throw in oldies but goodies that made the guests go nuts! even my mother had to borrow some flip flops just so she could dance the night away. i think she might even be dj mikes biggest fan. i must say that if i wasn't in a big poofy wedding dress the dance floor definitely could have easily been mistaken for a club. so high energy and packed from corner to corner. needless to say we are so happy with dj mike and the job he did. there are so many more details that i could mention about how he went above and beyond for us on our wedding day, but my reviews getting a little too lengthy! if you are looking for a wedding dj, the remixologists are HIGHLY recommended! read more

What can I say about the team at The Remixologists except they were freaking outstanding. I knew from the minute I was listening to the mixes from their website, that kept me dancing in the kitchen while making dinner, that they were the DJ's for our October 1, 2016 Avalon, NJ wedding. Simon and Colin spent time with us over the phone discussing the many things essential to a good wedding and we agreed that the guests place wasn't in their seats, but on the dance floor. We gave Colin a designated list of music for the ceremony and just some overall themes of music we liked for the reception and let him free to do his thing. Thank goodness I had flip flops for the guests as the dance floor was full and hopping all night long. It was a rainy night, but didn't matter as we had a fabulous time and my pictures of the dance floor were amazing. Colin is a low key, chill vibe, DJ with some secret, high energy dance party hidden inside his talented self. Don't waste your time interviewing all those cookie cutter DJ's and just book these guys as they are just unique, talented and committed to a great guest experience. read more

Of all the vendors we had to choose for our wedding, DJ was by far the most difficult - until we encountered the Remixologists. After sifting through countless website videos of all these 'DJs' (I hate to even use the term as it's an insult to legit DJs) who basically just want to press play on an iPod and make themselves into the star of the show, I was done. I swore there were DJs out there who were about the music. And Simon most definitely is. We stumbled upon the website and sang and danced in our own living room to a great mix Simon had posted. It only got better when we spoke to him via Skype, getting a great feel for a guy who really cares about people, making their day as special as they dream it to be. Really, Simon is about as affable and likable a guy as I can remember meeting - it was like I had my friend spinning music at my wedding even though it was our first meeting in person. Correspondence was excellent throughout and he handled my Groomzilla playlist beautifully. He also was happy to travel the more than two hours to Cape May for our wedding from northern NJ. Simon came through with flying colors on some curveballs we hadn't even realized we were throwing at him. To get us to kiss, guest tables had to stand up together and sing a song from a clue at their table. Instead of just singing, the tables surprising began asking Simon to cue up the song. And he came through for each table, right on the spot. It's worth noting, Simon has a different style of DJing - it is very much a 'club' style of DJing. Fast hits, one minute or so per track, which keeps the energy level at a peak. There's no such thing as that mass exodus from the dance floor when some boring song comes on. Simon's taste is better than that for one, but the high volume of songs keeps everyone on their toes, literally! Basically, it was fantastic having Simon spin the music at our wedding, making sure we were the stars of the show along the way. I hired Simon (aka DJ Taiga) to be the MC/DJ for my wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at French's Point in Stockton Springs, Maine. Simon's DJ'ing skills and taste in music are really on point. His expansive knowledge of contemporary and classic tunes made the night feel at once current and nostalgic -- without any of the cliches and cheesiness. Many of our friends came up to us during the wedding to complement the music! Besides the great spinning, he makes a fantastic and charismatic MC. His introductions and announcements were tasteful and entertaining. During the planning phase, Simon is very communicative, efficient, flexible, and detail-oriented (without being overbearing). We had a couple conversations over the phone to address pronunciation of names, the order of the evening, and special songs. I didn't have to worry about any of the technical logistics -- he had everything from the lights to the mics figured out. Simon also works really well with my wedding planner and all other service providers on site. The Remixologists were simply awesome. My husband and I didn't realize how unprepared we were to plan a wedding. Every vendor we met asked us questions we did not know the answers to or hadn't even thought of. Mike and Simon were especially helpful in putting together more than just the beats for our wedding. They generously shared sample schedules, song lists and their own expertise and knowledge in helping to plan the timeline of the day. In fact, what we used and shared with other vendors was their timeline template. They patiently worked with us and really went out of their way during the planning phases. They had a lot of helpful suggestions and had great song lists to choose from when we were simply overwhelmed and couldn't think what song would be appropriate for the entrance of the bridal party or which song we should even dance to. As we got closer to our big day, they met every request we made and then even extended themselves further by complying with last-minute requests for additional help. They coordinated our cocktail hour slideshow and arranged for all our music needs during the ceremony, after it, during the cocktail and throughout the night. Mike and Simon were awesome emcees as well and really provided such a great flow to the evening. All of our guests were complimentary about the music and had a wonderful time. The best part, in hindsight, was that we never worried about the music or anything they were handling; we had complete trust in them and they never once failed to meet our expectations nor let us down. And even after the wedding was over, they went out of their way again in returning a laptop we used for the slideshow. We had neglected to arrange for it to be returned to my husband's friend. They coordinated with him. Overall, I have to say we were extremely happy and pleased. We could not have asked for anyone better to have played such a big part in our wedding. My husband Sing and I hired Simon from the Remixologists for our wedding in October 2012. Our DJ selection was an important decision for us. Our good friends had hired Simon for their wedding the year before and we had so much fun! Simon was very professional, friendly, and was very knowledgeable of all types of music. We could see that he had a passion for music and for wanting to make a couple's wedding reception experience a memorable one. Simon kept in touch with me via email and phone and was very responsive to all of my emails. Simon was very helpful in helping us create our song list and the order of events for our reception. Any questions I had, Simon would answer them very quickly and gave us wonderful suggestions. Simon was also the emcee and wanted to make sure he could pronounce the names of everyone in our wedding party. This was important to me because it really showed that he cared and wanted everything to be perfect for me. Simon helped me edit our first dance song and was always happy and available to help each time I had asked him to edit new versions for me This helped us a lot because we were using the song in our dance class. On our wedding day, Simon and his assistant, Colin arrived early, just like he said he would, to prepare and set up all of the equipments. When I had arrived to the reception hall, I was very happy to see them, because I knew it was going to be a great party! During the wedding, there were some unexpected things that occurred that delayed some of our events but Simon reassured me that even with the delays, it would be still be okay and we would still have a lot of time to dance. Once we got everything started, it was perfect. All of our family and friends were up on the dance floor and dancing. Simon played all our favorite songs and was really great at knowing when to change songs. Simon and Colin did such a wonderful job at our wedding reception and they went above and beyond for us. When we decided we didn't want 'just any kind of' DJ for our wedding, we did a lot of research and found The Remixologists online. The reviews were great, and their online mixes - which featured a lot of great mash-ups and mixes - were just what we wanted. When the wedding day came, Simon's assistant was there setting up before we even did! Simon and his assistant did a stellar job with the music from the ceremony right on through the end of the reception. Their music choices were great, and except for a couple of requests we had (they even made a mashup of Hava Nagila into Whitney Houston, which was a big hit!), we left it all to them - and it was the best music mix we could have imagined. The dance floor was packed until the last song and everyone said how they loved the music and 'this DJ is great...please give me his information.' Simon runs a great show, you will never have to second guess a thing, he responds almost immediately, and they are the most professional and friendly DJ's around.
