It was a pleasure to work with Joseph as the DJ for our wedding. In the weeks leading up to our event, Joseph was very easy to communicate with. We 'met' by phone a few times to coordinate details in the weeks leading up to the event, and were impressed with how thorough and flexible he was at each stage. We also very much appreciated how easy he was to work with when we had to reschedule our wedding in spring 2020. On the date of the event, Joseph was a huge hit with our friends and family! He helped set a lively setting for the ceremony and cocktail hour. When it came to the reception, he absolutely crushed it, taking our preferences into account and running with them to put together an incredible dance set. I'm no expert on the technical details of DJing, but he blended and remixed crowd faves on the fly in a way that kept the dance floor going right till the last song. We were excited upfront about Joseph because, unlike many other DJs we worked with, he didn't insist on a 'hype man' or try to up-sell with crazy club lighting or pyrotechnics packages. My wife and I got married in Beaverton, Oregon. Our DJ Rob did an outstanding job. Talk about professionalism, he's been doing it for a very long time and was exactly what we were looking for. What I appreciated the most was the fact that there were no disco ball or flashing lights. It wasn't a huge wedding, we wanted it small, intimate and elegant. We could not have been happier with Owen from Aria Melody DJ! When we first met Owen for coffee to discuss the music for our wedding, we immediately felt like he understood us as a couple. Before getting into specifics, we spent some time getting to know each other and talking about our favorite bands. His laid-back, personable demeanor made us feel like we were hanging out with a friend rather than meeting with a vendor. We had some very specific requests but we were also looking for suggestions, and Owen recommended songs that fit in perfectly with our playlist. On our wedding day, we were very impressed with Owen's professionalism and ability to seamlessly transition between each part of our reception. I knew Aria Melody was "the one" after seeing their straightforward, "no gimmicks" website, and they totally delivered. Joe S. was a dynamite DJ--I'm kind of bummed that I was busy being a bride during some of the music bits, because I would have LOVED to have been part of the surprise funk session that broke out in the middle of the night. Joe was great at moving in and out of songs that weren't getting people on the floor, something that only happened maybe twice. He was very easy to work with (so mellow that I was even a little nervous about his potential energy levels--I shouldn't have wasted my time. Over this past weekend I was luck to have Owen from Aria as our DJ. Working with Owen was a breeze. He was so thorough and friendly throughout the entire process. He wasn't afraid to question things and offered great recommendations. I feel so lucky to have had him DJ our ceremony and wedding. When I woke up yesterday morning I had so many texts and emails from guests who said they had such a great time, and that the music and DJ was awesome. We hired Aria Melody DJ for our recent wedding. John was PHENOMENAL from the time we booked until the end of our wedding. - Communication was smooth and efficient. - He took the time to get to know what we wanted and delivered. - We gave him a long list of songs to play at the reception (that's what happens when you start jotting down songs a year and a half before your wedding!)... but indicated that they were only suggestions. He played some of our suggested songs, but put his own creative spin and injected other songs. We have been to so many weddings where the DJ plays the song from beginning to end and then awkwardly plays the next song. John blended the songs so that the transitions were perfect. No awkwardness! He played a good mix so that the older and younger generations had a good time. - We ran late, and even though he had plans afterwards, he stayed and kept people on the dancefloor. - True to his word, there were NO gimmicks (i.e. no macarena, electric slide), and there was NO signage. I would HIGHLY recommend Aria Melody to any couple who wants their guests to have a good time at their wedding. read more

We hired Joe to work our wedding in September. Our wedding reception went better than I could have ever imagined! Joe got the party going right away and we could barely sit down to eat, we danced all night. Our parents and older family members were raving about the DJ just as much as all of our friends. We've had a few friends ask for his information for themselves or friends. In addition to keeping the party going all night, Joe was also great with last minute requests. We completely changed the order of the whole party at the last minute (1/2 hour before the reception) to accommodate a grandmother who was not feeling well and needed to leave early. He was so easy to work with and made up a new schedule on the spot that worked with everyone's requests. John is a bit of a renaissance man, a throwback to the times when DJ's played good music and the event was about the people and not the DJ. We had been torn between a band or a DJ for our wedding. It had little to do with cost bit more to do with us wanting an event where the DJ was only noticed because people never left the dance floor as opposed to for his smoke machine and strobe lights. We hired John for our wedding a few years back and from the moment we met him, it was obvious that our wedding would be about us and John more than delivered. From the moment the dance floor filled up, it never emptied until the lights came on. We could not have asked for anything more. This fella is top rate class act. He's honest and genuinely concerns himself with your event and what you want - and he delivers. He also has a knack for songs that keep you guessing - whether it's the latest hit or an off beat old faithful that had been collecting dust for years - the guy just makes it work. John and Rob from Aria Melody were amazing. John was always responsive and professional. Everything was straight forward and easy. Rob worked our wedding. He was responsive, professional, and very knowledgeable. He very quickly understood the vibe we were trying to go for. My wife wanted world music for the cocktail hour and Rob did the extra research to find the songs that appealed to her. We trusted him to make the dance playlist. After providing a few examples of songs we like/don't like, he came up with a playlist that was perfect. He required very little input from us. Rob read the crowd and kept the dance floor packed. He served as our MC, but talked just the right amount. Also, there was some push back from the venue to do short 10-minute dance sessions in between courses. Rob knew that wouldn't fit the crowd and immediately let me know. We agreed to save the dancing until after the entree and it worked out perfectly. My wife and I were looking for a great wedding DJ that wasn't going to be corny or talk too much or any of that jazz. One that could get a good feel for the crowd and keep the party hopping. Aria Melody, John and Rob Sicat (our wedding night DJ) were just awesome. We (my wife and I) had planned so many meetings but being a pilot I was unable to keep them, and John was very understanding. We were able to share a Spotify playlist and discuss options via a tele-conference. The afternoon of the wedding Rob came, setup everything while the ceremony was taking place up on the balcony and had everything ready to go well in advance. Didn't have any worries at all. What made it truly special and different was that Rob was able to really feel the crowd, play our must haves but honestly it was non stop dancing and fun. After getting engaged, we knew we had to book him. He was amazing to work with from start to finish. We told him the type of music we liked and a couple songs to play / not play. Amazing. The only word we can use to describe Aria Melody. Music was one of the most important elements for us for our wedding, and every penny spent on Aria was worth it. Rob was our DJ and he was great. The process was flawless from beginning to end. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Rob was very communicative in the run-up to the wedding (we traded playlists on Spotify and had several phone conversations) and absorbed our many suggestions.
