The owner of this company bailed out with the order deposits of a number of customers. While this company used to be reputable, the owner of the last four years, Irwin Acosta, is apparently a crook. Two of his former employees, the salesperson and the installer, are attempting to start a new business and fulfill the remaining orders from Remodel Door. We'll see how it goes. read more

I had a problem with a door that I could not open that was not a lock problem. This company previously installed glass panels in my door so I knew they could handle heavy doors. Although fixing door problems is not their forte, they sent two men out to check out my problem and were able to fix it. I did not know who else to call so their help was greatly appreciated. read more

Found their ad in a local magazine. I called them because I wanted my old front door to have glass panels. They were reasonable, quick, knowledgeable, and extremely capable. They installed the glass in my driveway in about two weeks or so. I am so happy with my front doors that I decided I wanted them to put glass in my gate which I had made from a referral from them. I have done business with Remodel Door and More in the past. I purchased a new house and thought I would go back to them since I had such a great experience. Unfortunately, since the company changed ownership two years ago, the level of professionalism and customer service has declined significantly. The current owner, Irwin, is completely unresponsive -- he does not return calls or emails, and is essentially unreachable. Jasmine (office staff) seems more focused on deflecting concerns than addressing them. It's disappointing to see a once-reputable company fall so far in terms of reliability and accountability. read more

This place is simply amazing and pays attention to detail. My door came out FANTASTIC. Charles came over for the initial estimate and explained the entire process to me. He went above and beyond and even recommended a DIY product to seal my door better. Catherine in the front office was stellar as well. I had all my windows measured July 11, 2023. I put a huge chunk down to process the order. I was told the windows and installation could be done in 4 to 6 weeks. I told them OK, no hurry, I would be back beginning of October for install. While in Italy September, I called. No answer. While in Chicago, I called again over and over. No answer and no call back. When I finally came back to California 10/9/23, I called repeatedly. I threatened to reverse the charges and guess what? Got a call with some lame excuse. They said they mismeasured? How is that possible? And they said the window maker wouldn't ship the rest so we could install? Obviously another lie. Irwin came on October 23 to supposedly remeasure. Approximately 10 days ago I called and asked when they would be available to install. I wanted to have them done by Thanksgiving. I was told Christmas!. What's up with that? I don't even want to give them a one star. Terrible. Just awful. read more

pitiful 1st impression and failed installation, poor customer attention... I called back after installation and no responses from the estimator/owner's wife Catherine ... Catherine called my wife on Saturday after she received the email and pictures and was willing to fix the scratched glass and possibly the frames. But once her husband told her that he had run the credit card she was no longer available to take a look at the job. My wife never signed off on the paperwork and did not give final approval of the job. when I called again she picked up and ... I said " we would like a little change please trim the wood down a little, she said,  NO, NO NO we can't do that... I said Catherine just tell me "sorry Joe. The folks at Remodel are easy to work with and yet are very professional. While having the door done was not cheap, it was totally worth it and no doubt improves the overall look of our home.
