My wife and Milo were out on their normal morning walk, with Milo safely on his leash, when they were suddenly attacked by four dogs. It was a frightening, emotional, and very long day for our family, but every staff member treated us with kindness, patience, and compassion. They were thorough, caring, and helped us feel that Milo was truly in good hands during one of the worst experiences we have ever gone through. A special thank-you to the doctor and everyone who cared for him we will never forget how you treated our family. To our fellow neighbors, please remember that being a responsible pet owner protects everyone. Please triple-check your gates, fences, doors, and leashes. It only takes a few seconds for something terrible to happen, and the emotional and physical damage can last much longer. Please keep your furry family members secure so another family never has to experience what we did.

Having to bring him to BluePearl Animal Hospital was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I can't thank the team enough for the compassion and kindness they showed me. I was so overwhelmed with grief that I couldn't even get him out of my car. Without hesitation, a staff member came outside, gently took him from my vehicle, and handled him with so much dignity and care. That simple act of kindness meant more to me than words can express. The entire process was made as easy as possible during such a heartbreaking time. I chose a private cremation, and when I received his ashes, they included a beautiful paw print, a certificate of cremation and his ashes in a wooden urn. I also received a sympathy card in the mail from the staff. It may seem like a small gesture, but it reminded me that they truly cared not just about my dog, but about me as well. Losing my baby was one of the most painful experiences of my life, but BluePearl treated us both with so much compassion, respect, and love. Thank you for making such a difficult day just a little easier. Your kindness is something I will never forget, and I will always be grateful for the care you gave my sweet boy and the comfort you gave me.

I called ahead of time to let them know I would be there in less than twenty minutes. I got there and they came out and lifted Oliver out of my vehicle they immediately took him back and checked him out. They returned quickly and said it's life threatening. They determined that Oliver had HemaSarcoma of the spleen and heart and the tumors ruptured causing internal bleeding. They suggested euthanasia. We sadly determined the situation and agreed. Throughout the entire process everyone was so professional, loving, supportive of our baby. Yes, the bill quickly added up to 1,200 . I'm just grateful that they were there for him and we got to lovingly say goodbye. Definitely recommend this place if your fur baby has an emergency.

He was stumbling a lot more than usual and having trouble breathing. I called this emergency vet and let them know our situation and that we were on our way. There were a lot of people in the waiting room when we arrived. I was afraid we would have to wait while my little guy was struggling to breath and possibly in pain. However, they quickly led us into a room and took my dog into the back right away. They gave him something to help with pain and ease his breathing. They wrapped him in a soft blanket and gave him back to us. They told us we can have all the time we needed with him and to let them know when we are ready for the veterinarian to come in. When we were ready, the vet came pretty quickly. Again, I was surprised as they were obviously very busy. She explained everything she was going to do. We held our little guy in our arms as she administered the medication. She let us hold him and patiently listened to us talk about him. When we felt we had said our goodbyes, she took him from us and gave her condolences. It was an emotional night but this entire staff was friendly and compassionate. Thank you so much for helping us through a difficult time.

We were faced with the heartbreaking decision to let our sweet boy go peacefully. Dr. Haitz and Montana were truly incredible. It was Saturday, Memorial Day weekend, and our dear pooch was suddenly not doing well again and our vet's office is closed for the long weekend. After searching online for veterinarian services on weekends, I made multiple empty calls, I randomly found Peak Pet Urgent Care. They ask the usual questions regarding our pooch's condition, took our name and call back number and informed us they would call us when it was getting close to our place on the list. The call finally came and we made a beeline to Peak Pet's Urgent Care Clinic. Two employees came out to our vehicle to carry our pooch in. After all the necessary screening by one of the technician's permission was granted to treat our pet. Our Emma, was not going to get better and we made the difficult but necessary choice. Dr Haitz, DVM was the veterinarian that had examined Emma, consulted with us and explained each step of the procedure as she humanely administered the required procedures to Emma. I want to thank Dr Haitz for her compassionate professionalism during a difficult time for us. All employees at the Peak Pet Urgent Care were extremely warm, helpful, and made our situation less stressful. Thanks to all of you for your excellence in service and helping us during this crucial episode. Within 5 days we received Emma's ashes. We also received a card with a great surprise (see photo). Had I known Peak Pet Urgent Care existed, I would have brought Emma here for primary care. The staff is awesome: personally and highly professional. The facility is extremely clean, plenty of parking, prime location. Pricing for services are very competitive.

Our precious fourteen year old female was called beautiful and had pics taken of passerby's. When we picked her up after her being there for three hours or more ( every visit the same amount of time ) we just wanted to get them home. With her we noticed immediately her " beautiful fan tail " was no more. Her hind leg had been shaved to the bone. The shaver got away from one of their employees and that employee was not honest enough to report it. And if it was reported to his or her employer when we picked up our precious dog the incident was ignored and she was handed over to us like nothing ever happened. Now, a few months later she still has the large bald spot on the back of her hind leg where no hair has grown.. Her tail is completely butchered it hasn't grown out to its " beautiful fan wave" for a Collie after all this time. " I cant imagine what she was put through" being there! Our two year old male dog the most loving ever had his face completely missed his beard went over his lip. I trimmed it myself. I'm grateful our male dog hadn't gone through the trauma our precious female had gone through. I personally feel that someone there ( management) should be taking responsibility by checking while dogs are being groomed by ( newbies ) or any employee in any manner. I feel my female dog was left with a newbie and was not given the attention to this employee that he or she needed with managing. My daughter and I were under the impression that the woman that met us outside( same woman that groomed twice before ) asked how we'd like their grooming taken care of would be the one attending to both our dogs we trusted her grooming since she had done both our dogs twice before and we were happy with their outcome We had made recommendations to friends about Animal Oasis. We put our trust in the woman who greeted us who seemed interested in our concerns towards their grooming. This business failed my dogs and us. We should have looked at the grooming before paying the $100.00 per dog and not given the tips. I've never had to write up a complaint I waited hoping my female dog would grow her beautiful hair back to its original shape " Not" ! The Animal Oasis deserves this complaint. If you go to Animal Oasis after my complaint ask questions like who will be attending fully to my animal and look carefully after the work has been completed to your satisfaction before tipping. Get names, your dog is part of your loving family and should be treated like so.

They said he did fine coming out of the anesthesia. My husband got home and the dog was panting. We chalked it up to the dog may have had some anesthesia in his system. He was this way all night. We took him back on Friday and he was in the same condition with a temperature of 106. Our Newfie was there for a few hours and then sent home on Friday. On Saturday we had to rush him to the emergency vet and he had to be put down because he was much worse. THE DOG NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED TO US WITH HOW BAD HIS BREATHING WAS. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO AN OVERNIGHT VET HOSPITAL ON THURSDAY! When he was taken in, based on the notes, he was given oxygen and was breathing more normally. This did not last. After consulting others, we are being told that something definitely went wrong with the anesthesia. We should have been told that our dog needed to be admitted overnight to an emergency vet for over night monitoring instead of being released to us. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED, OUR DOG MIGHT STILL BE WITH US!

There were times it was hard to get a hold of the desk to make an appointment or ask a question, but I started to have better luck with emailing in vs calling...almost always a prompt response. Wait times during appointments could also get long, but it's understandable with a smaller hospital like theirs. They gave me a lovely card and nose and paw prints after we had to say goodbye to my little boy. I will always remember their kindness during that time and recommend bringing your babies here, too.

The calming environment helps reduce the stress of vet visits, and the breathtaking mountain views add to the serene atmosphere. Parking is easy and convenient. The first-time appointment costs $160 total, which felt a bit steep for the Reno area. It requires a $50 deposit to book the appointment, with the remaining $110 due on the day of the visit. New clients should also expect to wait a couple of months for a first-time appointment, depending on the veterinarian. The staff and nurses are incredibly sweet, welcoming, and professional. I enjoyed meeting Dr. Brown she seemed knowledgeable and caring, and she took plenty of time to address my concerns and answer my questions. During our first appointment, I was hoping for a more holistic approach to my dog's care, similar to the philosophy of Dr. Karen Becker (author of The Forever Dog). I was looking for guidance based on peer-reviewed studies around raw diets, nutrition, natural lifestyle choices, and all-natural prevention for longevity. Instead, after some initial discussion, the conversation quickly shifted to the standard recommendations for vaccines and flea/tick medications. I was a bit disappointed by that. After the appointment, I was referred to a local nutritionist and recommended for a dental cleaning. However, the estimate for dental cleaning, bloodwork, titer tests, and vaccines came to nearly $4,093.85, which shocked me. Because of the high cost, I decided to seek more budget-friendly and pragmatic options at another local veterinarian for vaccines and dental work, and I'll likely continue there to keep expenses manageable. The communication process also felt confusing and unnecessarily complicated at first. Everything is handled through text messages that link to the patient portal on their website. While the team usually responds the same day or within 24 hours for non-urgent messages, the back-and-forth and need to navigate the portal made simple tasks like scheduling the dental cleaning and receiving the diet recommendation -- feel frustrating. As someone who prefers more traditional, direct communication (such as a quick phone call), this system was challenging for me. Overall, it's a solid practice with great people and a lovely facility. It's luxury with a premium price for pet care. I especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome card they mailed to me with everyone's signature -- that was a nice personal touch. They could improve by streamlining their communication, offering more competitive pricing, and reducing wait times for new patients. I'd consider returning in the future with some hesitation, particularly if they can provide more reasonable rates and a stronger focus on holistic care in line with Dr. Karen Becker's philosophy in The Forever Dog. With an unlimited budget, I would happily go back.
