And after bad experiences with the "big box" stores on major appliance and home related purchases, I wasn't giving them any more money. Of all things, my plumbing contractor recommending Dominion Floor Covering after I even complained to them about bad service, and I have to say I what a great recommendation. After my initial inquiry, Nick came by the next day, took the measurements and with 24 hours I had an estimate. After I finalized my material color selection I had the work scheduled. The day of the work the crew arrived one half hour EARLY (when does ANY contractor show up early?). The three man crew led by Steve with Ronnie and Keith worked with great diligence, and were done by 4pm. The overall finish of my new flooring is excellent, the amount of custom cutting for molding and transitions due to the layout of my home was first class, the place was cleaned up with no debris, the whole thing was just great. In all my years as a home owner, I've never seen anything like. I have additional flooring work to complete, and no doubt I'm having Dominion come back to do it. Highly recommend.

After an initial walk through Dwayne Hall was able to provide a fair estimate and when we showed up at the showroom to consider our options we were very impressed with how he recalled the spaces in our home and was able to help us make the best choices for our flooring. Not only did Mr. Hall's team replace damaged tile in our bathroom without us having to replace all the tile, they did a fantastic job laying tile in our kitchen, guest bath and pre-finished wood flooring in our living room, master bedroom and dining room. We chose a decorative tile in our kitchen which has been placed with precision against the solid tile. It makes a lovely pattern that is not too busy. We stayed with laminate in our master closet and that too was perfectly placed. Williamsburg Flooring does it all!!! All the work was done very professionally and in a timely manner without any extra cost. Each team that came in our home was kind, considerate, cleaned up after themselves and worked hard to get their job done accurately and without any delay. The showroom looked nice and promising until we noticed no one was on the floor. We walked around and waited for around 20-30 minutes, chatting and looking at options on our own. We weren't trying to be quiet because we'd hoped someone would eventually notice us. When someone finally did notice, he sat us down and tried to schedule a walkthrough of where we'd need the floor. When we told him we just wanted advice on floor options, he insisted they needed to come to our house with a group of people to check it out first no matter what. We explained we didn't need that, but he kept insisting he needed to visit our home. We didn't appreciate how pushy he was and how unheard we felt so we left.

Having a good recommendation from our best friend clinched the decision. The communication we had with Jack's was outstanding. The installers were very friendly, respectful, and competent. They cleaned up after themselves each day. The installation took a little longer than they anticipated (and about where we figured as it was a big job). Once the flooring was done, there were a few items that needed attention - normal for any project. The punch list was handled quickly and effectively with great communication. We could not be happier with the price, quality of product, installation, and customer communication and support. If there were more than five stars to give, Jack's Tile and Carpet would be a 10! There was a pre-construction meeting with the estimator, project manager and over all manager. After, the project manager brought over several paint samples in an attempt to match the color of the trim. The worker was very industrious, put in long days and made sure I was happy with everything as he went along. There was a meeting with the estimator when the work was done. I noticed one corner that didn't appear to be finished. The project manager made sure that corner was fixed and another corner I had not noticed, but he felt was good enough. Everyone, including the office help, were courteous, pleasant, helpful and truly wanted me to be completely happy with the end result.

Throughout the six week process of picking out materials, ordering them, and install, Gerald (manager) and Jimmy (owner) were fantastic! In fact, they were so hands on, that the owner even did the majority of install himself. But what really stuck out to us, was when they ran into more damage to the subfloor than anticipated, they did not take that as an opportunity to charge us more, and instead stuck to the original estimate, despite the extra labor. They also were flexible and happily agreed to a few minor cosmetic changes that I suggested during install. The project was done perfectly, and exactly on time. We will definitely use them again for our next project!

My mother is a widow over 70 and she contracted with Bancroft Granite & Marble to do a $15,000…read morerenovation in my home. She was notified that the work was complete but when she arrived to look at it, there was building scraps and trash everywhere incluiding pieces of cut trim, stove wrapping, tools, etc. There was dirt everywhere and none of the new counters had even been wiped. They had failed to obtain the proper electrical permits to do the work. I paid $1600.00 for a custom built storage island which appeared to be pre-manufactured made from particle board --certainly not a custom built piece. They failed to install quarter round on the newly tiled floor leaving a visbable gap between the tiles and the baseboards. They installed a shelving unit but the wood did not quite fit to cover the area. When she asked habout this, she was told that they used scrap wood and that was all he had. When she notified Jim of her concerns, he cursed her and my brother out and said he was finished. She contracted with Jim in Match of 2017. He was contacted and requested to complete and finalize the job. She has not heard anything from him since May 2017. The work remains incomplete as of July 2017. I absolutely do NOT recommend using this company for any renovation or work. My mother was looking forward to moving back into her home after being away for several years. She is still unable to use the kitchen and move into her house. This company does not stand by their work; does not do a quality job; is not concerned with customer service or satisfaction.
