I seldom complain. However, I brought a coat in to be altered before Christmas 2025. Told Claudette it wasn't a rush so she could do it after the New Year, knowing how busy it can be for her over the holidays. Long story short, I called many times to get an update and being told they'd call me right back. Never got 5 calls returned. So today I went in and picked it up - she never even started it! A smile wouldn't kill any of them...they literally snarled at me, being 5'8 110, I assumed they were just like everyone else who has a problem with me for no reason...which Im sure makes me sound like the b*tch. One skirt came back with a different lining that had moths munchies all over it...it had been completely replaced by cheap fabric. Never smiled, never said thank you, never was nice to me one time. After the 3rd try I'm done. Looks kike they have a lot of work, and I'm not here to make it harder...my physique is natural, I was born in the Netherlands..where you won't find a girl shorter than me....I'm short......and we're all thin. So please stop hating, that hurts as much as you scowling at someone with the opposite body type. I had a terrible experience at Remy's. On Monday, March 11, 2024, I met with the seamstress and expressed interest in alterations to some suits. I brought in five suits, which the seamstress fitted. The seamstress pinned me and assessed a quote of approximately $522. I paid a deposit of $250. I was told I could pick the suits up on Friday, March 15, 2024. Before leaving Remy's, I expressed that I would bring more suits for alterations on March 15, 2024. I arrived on March 15, 2024, and the suits were not ready. I didn't receive a phone call or anything to indicate that the suits were not prepared. I asked when the suits would be ready, and the seamstress replied that they would be prepared on Monday, March 18, 2024. Before leaving, I was fitted for new alterations for the second set of suits I brought. The seamstress quoted approximately $100 to $150 per suit, totaling roughly $600 to $900. I paid a deposit for the second batch of suits on March 15, 2024. Before leaving, I asked the seamstress for an itemized invoice indicating the cost of the alterations. The seamstress replied that she would call me later to share the costs. I never received a call that day. I returned to Remy's on Monday, March 18, 2024, to pick up the first batch of suits. Upon arriving, the seamstress expressed that the suits were not complete. I told the seamstress that I would be traveling out of town for work and returning on April 15, 2024, giving the seamstress approximately 28 days to complete 11 suits. On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, I arrived at Remy's to pick up all the suits, but unfortunately, the suits were not done. I asked the seamstress when would the suits be done; she replied the suits would be done on Friday, April 19, 2024. I also asked why she had not contacted me by phone or email with the invoice detailing the costs of the alterations. She replied that she would provide them today (April 17, 2024). The seamstress contacted me on April 18, 2024, and she quoted me a remaining balance of $806. I was disappointed when she quoted me the price, as it had been a month since I initially requested an itemized invoice. The seamstress became argumentative and stated that she was busy. The response was insensitive to the customer, being that I have been understanding and flexible, offering more than enough time to complete the alterations. I agreed to the quote and indicated I could pay and pick up the suits on April 18, 2024. Upon arriving, the seamstress brought all the suits I had brought in for alterations. Two of the suits were not completed, and she expressed she didn't have enough time. The suits that had sleeves shortened did not have the buttonholes sewn in. I confronted the seamstress and asked why she did not put the buttonholes on the sleeve jackets. She played dumb and stated she did know I wanted buttonholes placed on the sleeve. She also appeared shocked that I was familiar with tailoring and alterations and would not accept such a meaningless response. I paid a total of $300. The total was $850. I went home disappointed with the quality of work, lack of professionalism, and lack of empathy. Once I was home, I tried on each suit; the alterations were awful and appeared rushed. I was disappointed with the work. While trying on the suits, I discovered another suit that the seamstress did not work on--terrible work. I will say that Remy's may be suitable for someone who needs a hem or minor alteration, but they cannot "TAILOR," yet they market themselves as tailors. If you are looking for poor service, poor quality and a poor attitude... you have found the tailor for you. After paying upfront 6 months ago...and stopping in countless times, my 2 skirts to be hemmed were not finished. When I asked for a promised date she gave me one but called me the day of pick up asking for 2 more days which I agreed to. When I went to pick them up, she must have started when I walked in the door as one zipper had been partially dismantled. The other skirt untouched. She exclaimed, " Oh, you are here early!!! After 6 months of waiting I found that insulting and told her I just want my skirts back. She pouted and I had to repeat myself 5 times before she slowly gave them back. No attempt to refund my money or try to live up to her promises. Just sulked. Beware. read more

Claudette is an amazing tailor! She is sweet and truly great at what she does. I have brought many dress pants for her to tailor and they always fit just like I like them. She will have you try the pants on and you can tell her what you would like done, or just let her suggest would look best (I would say the latter). Good tailor work, but they never have orders ready on time, and seem to only START on the clothes after I try to pick them up at the promised date. Last experience I ordered 6 shirts and 3 pairs pants before leaving town for season. I had a friend pick them up 6 months later and only received 3 shirts and 2 pair pants. I only had someone else pick them up because despite Them saying they ship stuff for people all the time, they would never ship them after I requested 4 times. Because of the traffic in Fort Myers Beach I really didn't want to have to leave the island on NYE to pick them up. I was able to pick them up just 35 minutes after I dropped them off. We've been using Remy's for years. Sometimes I would use my local dry cleaner just to shorten a pair of pants. I'm never doing that again! The quality of alterations from Remy's is far superior. And if you need jeans shortened, do not go anywhere else!!! They use a technique where they keep the original hem but fold up and surge the excess fabric from the inside. I know how to sew and it took me a few minutes to figure out how they managed to make the jeans look so good, very skillful. Dresses, pants, suits, jeans, they do it all. Please note, they are great tailors, not magicians. Plan ahead and make sure you take your items in at least one week minimum before you need it. I like to give them two. Be careful...owner assumes alot and is prone to pre-conceived understandings. Bought a used tux from nearby tuxedo store and brought to Remy's and explained I had bought it and needed to have a permanent vice temporary hem put in. Paid on pickup and put tux on for major event to discover hem had been temporarily "tacked" on. Went back to Remy to re-explain original request and Remy said she would correct. A week later she wanted another fee for hemming a 2nd time, but I told her she had not listened to my original request and ASSUMED I was renting the tux.
