Pat at the sewing room is not reliable. I called 4 weeks out from needing a dress altered. She told me that she could not get me in that week but that she could the following week (giving me three weeks to get the dress turned around) and that my date that I needed the dress was not gonna be a problem. I scheduled the appointment and went in for the alterations, had it all pinned up and was given the day before to pick up with the timeframe of 12-1pm. At 11:22 day of pick I was called and told that she had not even started my dress yet. Since then she used another person as a point of communication and has yet to return my calls or call me regarding my dress, including the charge that she tacked on to someone else's bill and credit card. She had the audacity to charge me full price for the dress as well as charge me a credit card fee for somebody else picking up the dress on that person's credit card. If my dress was done on time, it would have been paid for in cash and avoided so said fee as well. I am extremely disappointed with the fact that she still has yet to call me back to talk to me regarding this issue. read more

Unfortunately, I've been using this place for years until she wouldn't stand behind her work on a hem job on a pair of jeans we just asked her to redo them and make them a little higher and she wouldn't do it for free. I even asked if she would reconsider as I use her frequently And she said no. Now I have to find someone else who will stand behind their work. I don't think she minds losing a little business. I brought 3 items for alterations and had mixed results. Dress alterations were great but the 2 blouses were unacceptable. One with stretchy fabric was MUCH shorter in front than in the back??? (maybe they had 2 tries with stretchy fabric??) . The darker ivory blouse was hemmed with bright white thread that can easily be seen. The owner offered said she was not the person that worked on the garments and offered to redo but the damage can't be undone when it comes to both blouses. Had to donate the short one. This is a hidden gem! It's a little shop in the back roads of Naples, hidden in the industrial section where they have a lot of small business. The ladies working here are very friendly and very thorough. They are masters at their skill. I have brought dresses in that don't fit, but were a great deal at the store- so I just bring them in, and they alter them to fit me :) their pricing is very reasonable and they are very quick! If I take items in on a Monday, they are usually ready on Thursday or Friday. Give them longer when it's Season. He picked it up on a Friday afternoon and the pants had never been touched, still had the pins tgat they put in to take them in!!!!! The owner was rude as if it was our fault they did not do their job but we paid for the jacket and left. I've been to several alteration places in Fort Myers, Chicago and Ohio. And Silvio's in Naples- Trust me I wasn't happy with their stitching job on my high end diaper bag. I brought in a pair of dress pants to be taken in in the waist, and she suggested a different way of altering them so that they would have the best fit possible - she was so right! This is really a buttoned down place where quality seamstresses make irregular clothes fit you like royalty. Fast turnaround, too, at an inexpensive price that's paid upon pickup. Do I have to admit that I'm short? No, it's just that my legs are much closer to the ground than the long lengths of pants that hang on store racks assume. So I routinely come here for a hem. The clean and efficient store is in the industrial part of Naples, has a fitting area, and a block in front of a mirror for accurate pinning and approvals. I have been to this place twice and both experiences have been NEGATIVE. The first time, I brought several items to be altered. I thought their prices were high ($35 to take in pants, $20 to put a new elastic in a skirt) and when I went to pick up the items, I remembered the cost of one alteration being $25 (to put a new zipper in a dress), but they charged me $35. I argued quite a while with the lady, but she would not even meet me halfway, so I ended up paying what they (I believe) overcharged me. I made a mental note: Next time, make sure you get the prices in writing ahead of time. (Good advice for anyone who goes here!) Today I went back because one of the pairs of pants still didn't fit right. She looked at my receipt, saw that more than a month had passed, and said, "We will not be able to help you. It's been more than a month. We don't know whether maybe you lost weight." I have NOT lost weight; the other pair of pants fits and I had just told her so! I was so furious I left without a word, but decided to write a review warning others. The ladies who run this place show no interest in developing a personal relationship with their clients; they don't know the first thing about customer relations; they seem intent only on squeezing every dollar they can out of their customers. Their attitude is one of suspicion and mistrust, rather than of cheerful accommodation and helpfulnesss. Frankly, I don't know how they stay in business. Whatever. I had a disaster experience with the alterations done by David's Bridal in Fort Meyers, the dress was taken in and ready only a couple weeks before my wedding and they took it in too much!!! I called several times in number is not operating when I went there to take back the two pair of pants that they did have the woman was refusing to give me then telling me that she wanted to correct her mistake but they still had not found the lost pair of pants I had to fight with her for five minutes to give me my clothes back and left without my last pair of pants. I brought a Hawaiian style shirt that I purchased at Wal-Mart for $12 to be altered. I know the lady told me the cost was going to be $15. I remember that because it was going to be a little more than what I paid for the shirt, and I was a little hesitant to pay that, but I agreed. When I picked up the shirt the lady decided that the cost was $35. I was flabbergasted. The problem I had is that I could not find my ticket, and without the ticket, I could not prove anything. I would never have agreed to pay $35 for a $12 shirt. I was willing to meet her at $20, but she would not. I went to Pat with the very challenging job of completely taking apart, altering and remaking a dress for my daughter's wedding. We had several fittings and Pat was only satisfied when the dress fit perfectly. let me start by saying holy cow!!! was referred by a seamstress to come here for my bridesmaid dress. the dress was way too small around my bust and the zipper would not zip all the way up. took my dress here and was told "no problem at all i will make this dress fit". The lady who runs it, not sure her name is so sweet and determined. she had no doubt in her voice when telling me she'd be able to get my dress to fit me.. a week later came back for first fitting and BAM the dress zipped all the way up. fit perfectly. not to big not too tight. then she took a little bit of length of the bottom. got my dress back in a timely manner as well! super nice staff, and a very well experienced owner. take all your alteration needs here and you will not regret it!!!!! i was so stressed about my dress and she made it work and i even got my dress back 2 weeks before i leave for the wedding. 20/10 stars for you!!!! thank you so much read more

Only great things to say. Their work is amazing! We have used them at least a dozen times since moving to Naples a few years ago from Chicago. I personally find their prices to be fair and consistent with their level of service. I just picked up a new Tommy Bahama dress today that needed a few inches taken off. They charged $18.50. I find that to be completely reasonable. After reading a few of the negative reviews I can only say that sometimes you get what you pay for. Additionally, they have bent over backwards to accommodate us on a number of last minute emergencies. Personally I won't go anywhere else. read more
