So don't worry about not liking the food, it's well prepared and tons of options. We also got a coffee and it tasted good too! They really have it all! My favorite part was the mutin-busting, they made it so fun! The corn maze was a close second, it's not too hard and fun! Find entrance to paid parking on the North side of Parker Road off of Mainstreet which is closed for the duration of the event. I met a politician (Greg Lopez (1992-1996)). and a news woman from CBS local news (Olivia Young, Douglas County). This the 50 year anniversary of the festival. My son showed me all around as he came for the first time a few years ago, so he knew the way. Seems like a familiar quality event for the town of Parker.

The whole place is pretty small there are about 30 booths or so with different types of stuff from Steins to insurance and crossfit/yoga studio. There was a decent sized tent where bands and dancers were putting on a show. Honestly though I think the tent could have been a good 1/3 larger. There just wasn't enough room. I think to gain a 5th star the Oktoberfest could add some more activities. Maybe some games or a Ferris wheel. Just some more stuff to do in general. Great little event here in Parker.

Most venues were cash only, they did have 2 ATM machines for those unprepared (including us!). Nessie greets you as you walk in to the park. The midday ceremonies included a parade of dogs (adorable), bands, and clans, which were colorful, loud, and fun. The food was the most disappointing. There's only one tent with subpar options for ~$8-10. The best part of the festival are the whiskey tastings! We got there relatively early and signed up for Ardbeg. Once inside the tent, we were given little crackers, place mats with whiskey, and a walk through. We even got whiskey glasses for souvenirs! I especially loved being surrounded by thick heavy Scottish accents whichever way I turned. I'll be back again next year! Please work on your food options.

Zach Heckendorf, Chelsea Cutler, Sofi Tukker, and Kygo were the artists. Didn't get to catch any of the polo except from what I saw on the big screens. The grass was green and super clean though. Hardly any trash on the grounds unlike most festivals I have ever attended. Plenty of portapotties although the sinks ran out of water before the end of the night. Lots of food trucks and a couple of areas for alcohol. The lines took forever...by forever, I mean over an hour to get food and 45 minutes to get a drink. The stage was awesome. Sound system was good. Loved the lights, setting, and they definitely tried making public transportation easy. Got to ride a school bus installed with Bluetooth playing Aladdin's, A Whole New World, back to Mineral Station. Good times. Just a few kinks to work out...otherwise, I'd come out here every year if I lived in the area. Solid 4 stars and a must if you're into polo and/or festivals!

They greeted us immediately and gave us a map of the property. We had fun walking around and checking out the animals and historic buildings on site. Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.
