My Son attended Renaissance Music Academy from 2nd to 12th grade. He played the keyboard in many high school musicals to include Les Miserables Hairspray and Mamma Mia. His classical piano training with Ms. Liluth and Ms. Nora provided an excellent foundation for playing piano, keyboard, cello and drums in high school. The school treats each student as family and we are blessed to have such valuable music teachers in Henderson! We have attended many recitals over the years and even had a holiday concert at one of the nursing homes in the area. When our daughter was about 3 years old, we had imagined a music school that could, in the future, classically train her on the piano. After some research, I found this school, that took pride in training students in the traditional way. Our daughter joined Renaissance in November of 2022. Renaissance was EXACTLY what we had imagined. The rigor, the family-like atmosphere, and the passion for music is unmatched, in our opinion. Ms. Lilith, Ms. Nora, and Ms. Olga (who I have interacted with) and other teachers are not only dedicated to the technique and practice, they are also very supportive and caring to our daughter. My husband and I feel so lucky and grateful to find this school. We had a piano teacher for our son for almost one year before we know Renaissance music academy, we found our son still can't play piano by two hands together. We felt we could not waste time with the teacher before anymore, then after we did a lot of research, we decided to try Renaissance. O.L. Recently I attend Academy's Annual Recital at The Smith Center. Two hour of heartwarming performances by student from 5 to 18 years old was one of the best and unique school recital I ever attend. Big range of classical masterpieces and popular songs, performed on piano, violin, flute and voice filled with love, joy and happiness. Many thanks to talented and dedicated teachers, aspecially Lilith and Nora who's hard work and patient built passion and love to classical music and explore hiden talent of the children. Here's what I have learned as an adult student at Renaissance: From the very first note of the very first lesson, the emphasis was music reading, and PROFICIENT music reading in the quickest and the soonest time possible. With this ability I got voracious to learn every piece that appealed to me. Then applying mandatory music theory came musicality. From the beginning it was practice! practice! practice! and automatic memory followed, there was no specific or unique technique taught on how to memorize. Practicing to the point of being able to play the music in my mind was memory applied on the piano.
