I had heard this place was nice, but the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful to the point of almost being rude. This was all before Brandon Hayes took over. I am in a few cigar groups on Facebook and mentioned that I had heard some less than flattering things about Renegade other than the niceness of the place. Brandon did not confront me on Facebook about what I had heard, instead, he sent me a private message and explained that he had recently taken over the place, and asked that I come out some time and see him. He asked me to ask for him when I stopped in so that he could show me around. My father and I both enjoy a nice cigar and whiskey, so one night after having dinner in the area, we decided to stop into Renegade and check the place out. Let me say this first, I am glad I did. We were greeted the instant we walked in by two very friendly people who worked there. They asked if this was our first time in, and asked if they could help us. I explained that Brandon has asked me to come in and check out the place from a message on Facebook, and he told me that Brandon was there and he would go get him. Brandon came over and introduced himself and gave us a tour of the shop, showed us the lockers, the lounge, the bar and the walk in humidor. He spent at least twenty minutes with us just in the humidor asking us about brands and sticks we each licked, and then made multiple suggestions on alternatives to try in case we had never had them. I always like to buy something I like, and something new to try when I go to a B&M cigar shop. We made our purchases and found a place to light up. The friendly staff offered to cut our sticks for us, but I like to punch, so we told them we had that handled. They asked if we needed any mixers for drinks as they saw we had a bottle with us. We had some coke so they got us some cups and ice. I wish I could remember the other gentleman's name who assisted us, as he took great care of us. Made sure we had what we needed. He explained their locker and VIP programs for us. We asked him about some brands that they did nor carry, and he explained that they were in the process of getting the brands that they wanted to carry back in stock and were working with their vendors to get the stock back to what they wanted, but that the previous regime had alienated some of the reps so they did not have everything stocked. The whole experience was great. I honestly don't really feel like they treated me any different than they would anyone who stopped in. These guys are all about customer service. They get it for sure. I am looking forward to attending events here in the future. Next time you need a place to burn a nice stick, do yourself a favor, and grab a bottle and fellow brother of the leaf and stop by and let the guys at Renegade take great care of you! read more

Great lounge, really meets the need for those who want a nice comfortable place to enjoy a cigar. The humidor has a very solid selection to meet all taste, and the pricing is slightly better than others in the surrounding area. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Also YELP data is inaccurate this lounge is open. read more

I've gone there several times and each time I have found the atmosphere relaxing and the people very friendly. I buy alot of my cigars from various places, but everytime I'm there I have to support this place. I would say "Give Them Another Shot". read more

I REALLY like this place.. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a wide selection of cigars to choose from. I love Gurkha and they had the Cellar Reserve Cracken.. This is my "Home away from home" now, and I've even rented a locker. It's a great deal. The place is very comfortable with many large leather recliners, TVs, a fireplace, a bar that's BYOB and very friendly staff. Renegade Cigars is my favorite smoke shop in Dallas. I try to make time to stop in whenever I'm in town for business. They have a great humidor, fair prices, and knowledgable staff. The lounge is well appointed with leather chairs for relaxing, along with big screen TVs and free wifi. The crowd has lots of friendly folks, both locals and visitors. Have a surprising number of Cigar shops with lounges in the area, and this is my overall favorite. 1. Great Cigar Selection 2. Large Lounge, outside seating. 3. Restaurant neighbor lets you enjoy their patio too. 4. Well ventilated (important if you have to return to work) 5. Friendly staff that will make recommendations in any price range. Definitely don't upsell. Only real place for improvement would be to have a coffee maker going, unless it's there and I missed it. read more

Renegade Cigar Lounge is the best in the area. The cigar selection is awesome, prices are right and the atmosphere is great. Comradely is over the top real people solving all the world's problems with one cigar. Multiple TV's clean bathrooms, great ventilation, nice area's to work or whatever. The owners are nice and considerate of others, and concerned about making sure they have your smoke available. Also advise you as you walk in the door to where the orders are!!! How can you ask for better service than that? I have been to many cigar shops and have to say this feels like home to me. No pressure, no upkeep promise's everything is straight forward. Was not all it's cracked up to be. The reviews say they are friendly but it's more along the lines of being friendly after selling what they can. I got pardon that was great to smoke but they did not offer to cut for me or anything other places do like Lone Star in Plano and it has a better atmosphere. I also changed the channel cause no one was watching where I was sitting. But there was another man sitting but on his computer in the area but not focused on the game then the front desk ask me to change it to the lakers game and continued to not watch it, how rude I pay to come relax and I can't even watch a simple show when there are clearly 2 other TVs playing the same show. Not really for me I would rather spend my time and money else where read more

No change in the "star" rating, but since my original post last year I've visited most of the cigar stores in the area. From north dallas, to addison, east/west plano, and other parts of richardson. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. BUT Renegade is bar-none the most comfortable. Every chair is a recliner. I didn't appreciate that until I experienced all the others. Plus a comfortable place to work, stable wifi signal. read more
