We had seen several posts about this place and decided to check it out. There are several things about our experience that are worth sharing: 1. They have valet parking which is always nice when I am out with my wife. 2. Their location is easy to find one block from beltline and I-75. 3. The restaurant is cozy and felt authentic with Italian vibes. 4. Service was polite and engaging. Our waiter spoke excellent Italian. 5. We went for Pizza and were not disappointed. I love wood burning oven because I like the Burt edged crust . We also had chopped salad. Our guest couple had the calamari and shrimp appetizers that were very good too. They decided to have shared a pasta dish, carbonara that they raved about. Our drinks were standard beers. All in all and very nice meal that we are happy to recommend. read more

Updated review: A great spot for either a date night or a family dinner. The restaurant has a more upscale feel without being stuffy, with a warm ambiance, attentive service, and plenty of nearby parking, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere struck a nice balance between casual and special occasion dining. My only complaint is the kids' menu. They offer kid-sized pasta options but surprisingly no kid-sized pizza at a pizza restaurant. It would be nice to have a smaller pizza option for little ones. This is a solid spot for delicious Italian food, plus the ambiance is lovely for a date night! My fiance and I came by for dinner on a Friday night a while back; we had no reservation but they were able to accommodate us outdoors which was fine with us. It definitely does get busy during peak hours so would recommend making a reservation especially for larger parties! We started out with the burrata e cavoletti which came with house bread, crispy brussels sprouts, burrata, a balsamic reduction, and pesto. This was absolutely delicious! I loved how all of the flavors and textures came together perfectly, plus the bread was fantastic even on its own. For mains, we shared the ragu napoletana and salsiccia pizza both of which were great. I will say that the pizza here is Neapolitan style so the crust is soft and pillowy (less crispy). This place is great! We've heard about them being on the top 50 pizzeria list and finally decided to give them a try. Went on a Saturday around noon and were quickly seated with no wait. The server quickly gave us waters. This might sound stupid, but they have really good water here. Ice cold and filtered. This gave me high hopes if this is what they are making the pizzas with. We ordered the vesuvio stuffed pizza. It came out right when it left the oven and so had the signature puff from the steam. Our server asked if we wanted her to cut it but I wanted that experience for myself. It was so delicious. The ricotta was very light and it was more about the crust and the meats. Super good. Next time I'll try the fried pizza that they won the pizza Olympics with. I heard you can get that fried dough with any pizza you like except the one we ordered on this visit. read more

This restaurant was so good. We also ordered the meatballs and bread which was not pictured. Because we ate it so quickly. Their bread is homemade and absolutely delicious. The surface was amazing. Great recommendations. I was just here visiting on a work trip that I would definitely make an effort to come back if I weren't in town. This place was awesome. Loved everything we had! Started with the burrata and meatballs - sauce was fabulous on the meatballs and the Brussels / burrata combination was killer. For dinner we split a handful of things. The pesto pasta was a sneaky winner... so rich, creamy and truly a treat. We wanted a plain cheese pizza but this seemed like an impossible task for some reason ha. Had to ask for extra mozzarella and extra cheese twice which seemed odd being an Italian spot but other than that everything else was good. We checked this place out recently for lunch and had a great experience. I made a reservation so we didn't have long to wait for a table. The service was excellent and they were friendly. We tried the bruschetta appetizer. It came with 3 slices of bread cut in half, so 6 pieces total. The bruschetta had excellent flavor. We split the Salsiccia pizza and the Ragù Napoletano. We also tried the tiramisu for dessert. Everything was so flavorful and the portion sizes match the prices. We had enough food to share between the 3 of us. We booked a table on a Saturday evening... it was very busy, and we sat outside on the patio. My wife had an espresso type cocktail, called Nu Cafe, which she enjoyed. We started with the panzanella salad, which was very good - nice mix of greens, butternut squash, goat cheese, incredible bread/croutons, and a lemon honey dressing. We ordered two pizzas : a margherita with fresh buffalo mozzarella (upcharge) and their Gladiator pizza, loaded with onions, peppers, Calabrian chilies, and pancetta. The pizzas were good... we prefer a touch more crisp on the crust. It was doughy but still had nice char... but the bottom had some sogginess, which happens with certain ingredients. Unfortunately it was dark on the patio area... perhaps some string lights above or table lanterns might be nice. Service was very good, and there was a nice duo playing some live music under the covered outside seating area. The bathrooms were very clean and had nice tile! First time visiting Partenope because I heard their pizza was the highest rated in Texas and weekends they served lasagna so I needed to try it. Had the house red which was very good and food Started off with the bruschetta for apps was yummy only issues tomatoes on top too big just fell off every time you bite, the lasagna looked amazing and tasted great would order again but 24$ is a lot for the portion. The Margherita is my favorite pizza always and theirs was easily top 5 pizza places for Neapolitan style pizza would come back for that for sure. To finish ended with the tiramisu for dessert was good but for me was the weakest test in the lineup tonight, looked great but could not taste any espresso and was very watery at the bottom making everything taste soggy. My husband & I are Italian; we've eaten our way through Italy a couple of times, so after reading rave reviews about Partenope Ristorante in Richardson, Texas, we made a reservation for lunch. The service is stellar; we were greeted warmly, seated immediately and served promptly. The ambiance has a metropolitan feel; a big, beautiful bar, ample table seating as well as comfortable leather booths. The incredible menu is reminiscent of the offerings in Italy, so there's something for everyone. We ordered two pies; the special of the month & a menu regular "Napoli Centrale" with Italian sausage, ragu, prosciutto, basil, & ricotta (see photos). The ingredients are fresh, clean flavors that made my taste buds dance. The dough melts in your mouth, while the crust has just the right crunch from the brick oven char. I grew up in NY where pizza is a delicacy & I haven't enjoyed pizza this much since leaving NY in 1999. Honestly some of the best Italian food I've had in a very long time. Came on a Saturday for a late lunch and there were only a few tables, which became very surprising to me after my meal. My friend and I started with the calamari and shrimp to start Everything was very fresh and not overly seasoned. I appreciated that everything was lightly battered. I saw this place on a ranked pizza list and decided to try it out. The interior gives a good vibe for families and group gatherings. We started off with the burrata e cavoletti which came with a creamy burrata, pesto, and bread to dip alongside crispy roasted brussel sprouts tossed in a sweet balsamic glaze. I really like the glaze and asked for a small dipping cup of it. For the first pizza we ordered the calabrese which was slightly spicy and came with ricotta and hot honey. Our second pizza was the napoli which came with prosciutto and Italian sausage. The napoli definitely could have been more flavorful and was a bit bland. But the calabrese was very good with extra hot honey sauce. The crust of the pizza is definitely one of the best I've tried considering I don't really love pizza. Only thing I wish they would change is the size of the slices, they cut it up into fourths instead of the typical eighths which made it hard to eat. For desert we got the dolce calzone which was a sweet calzone with apple and mascarpone filling topped with fresh caramel sauce. The desert was delicious but the portion size was enormous. We kicked things off with the fried calamari and shrimp (fritto misto), and it was amazing: super fresh, piping hot, perfectly light batter, and not overly seasoned. Total winner to start. Finally managed to come here for dinner! I've been wanting to come here for a long time but wasn't able to till tonight. The restaurant is really cute and romantic. Their huge oven was really beautiful and I admire a nice oven meant for pizzas! So first off, let me just get a slightly annoying thing out of the way: hostess was okay but didn't like that she tried to sit us by the door/ heavy traffic. She offered the one next to it but we tried to ask for somewhere not by traffic and her response was "I just sat that server". Kinda felt like she pressured us to sit near traffic. For the food, I like the frito misto (calamari) it wasn't rubbery and the breading was light and airy. It was a little bland though but maybe I'm used to salty food. Added some black pepper and it was good. Carbonara was creamy (slightly watery) but still tasty. I love the texture of their pasta! Has a good bite to it. We ordered the pizza of the month and was surprised! Honestly I'm not a pizza connoisseur but was educated that Neapolitan style pizza was more soft, fluffy and chewy. So if you were wanting a crispy crust, this is different! I do like the flavors and would definitely come back. I was just surprised and wasn't ready for a fluffy type pizza. I've come here a few times with colleagues and it's a company favorite. The pizza is really well done as are the appetizers. Recommend the meatballs for sure and at least an order of pizza and salad for share. I think the cocktail drinks are hit or miss but many come for the wine or beer. Presentations and freshness is on par. I'm sure we'll be back again. The location is unbecoming and a hole in the wall. You have to know this place is here. Made reservations for a special celebration Dinner with my Bestie from out of town, for Tuesday, March 24th. It was a huge disaster! We had scheduled an early dinner (6:00) and there were only 7 tables throughout the night enjoying dinner service. Well, we won't be going back till the addition to the restaurant is completed, due to the noise factor!!!!!!! There was sawing noise which was so loud we joked it made us feel like we were at the dentist office having a negative experience. My friend ordered the Margarita pizza, which they left the fresh basil off, which is a key ingredient. Me, the sea-bass, which was overcooked & very fishy. Needing some good food, then stop by Partenope. The pizza is incredible, it is a great spot to bring a group or just a one on one date. The staff is very friendly. Drinks are also very good, with a solid wine list to pair with whichever Italian dish you get. Came here for our anniversary and was so glad we did! The interior has gems from Italy, everything is made in house and delicious! For appetizer, we ordered calamari and shrimp which came with a marinara sauce (standard). We wanted to order pizza and pasta, so we got both The waiter recommended the meta di sorrento, which was a lighter tasting vegetarian pizza with a white sauce base, zucchini, and mint. It was a unique pizza, but I thought it was a little soggy. We also ordered the carbonara and lasagna. The carbonara had a strong black pepper flavor which was the main flavor profile when I was eating it at the restaurant. When I took leftovers home to eat on a separate day, I was able to taste more of the other flavors (and pancetta) in the dish. I liked the texture of the noodles! My son told me about this place so had to try. We stopped by for an early dinner. Place was quiet, since it was still early, 5-ish. We were greeted and seated right away. It was quite busy, so it took a little time for the bartender to attend to us, but he was friendly when he did. The interactions were short, but he got our order in quickly. The pizza had a perfectly charred crust and fresh toppings, the tiramisu was light and flavorful, and the affogato was the perfect mix of creamy gelato and bold espresso. Nice interior & service. Location is in the heart of Richardson near Chinatown. There were 6 of us for lunch & luckily we were there before the place got crowded. Also we didn't notice the note in the menu, there will be a 20% gratuity (or Partenope puts it "Service Charge") added to all party of 6 & they do not split tickets. Pizza was great & we all love the crust. Texture was chewy, soft & tender so all of us devoured the whole thing even the crust. Crust is not like fast food, Papa John's, Domino's,..., dough where we throw away the crust. Ordered pastas too but they were OK. Nothing to rave about. Pastas were cooked al dente but we preferred it on a softer side. The price: Average price for PIZZAS are $20 for the size about 12 inches or so. For us, the price is kinda high but the taste is good so we overlook the the price. Average price for PASTAS are $20 but the portion is small. Incredibly good service and turnaround from the kitchen. Ordered the Calabrese. The cook on the dough was absolutely perfect. Beautiful leoparding spots and a good char. Can see why this is a top USA Pizza spot! The ingredient were great and of high quality. Their sauce was on point. Absolutely would recommend. Ordered Bruschetta, Calabrese pizza, and another pizza with prosciutto (forgot the name) After reading so many glowing reviews and seeing how they were a top rated pizza, my expectations & excitement were tremendous. The place was packed and pretty small, but had a lovely, charming atmosphere. Pros: - Bruschetta was amazing. Bread was crispy and the tangy balsamic really balanced the bright tomatoes. - Both pizza flavors were delicious. You can really taste the tomatoes in the sauce and everything felt really fresh. The Calabrese is like pepperoni's hotter and more flavorful cousin. - A waiter packed our leftovers for us. The staff was warm and welcoming in general. - The pizzas tasted better after reheating. After 3 mins at 350 during 3am, airfryer-ed Calabrese was DIVINE. I may just order it to-go in the future.. Cons: - Both pizza's crusts were thoroughly soggy through the bottom. This is fine if you fold the pizza but the toppings did tend to slide right off. If you like crispy this is not for you. - It took a long time for our pizzas to arrive after the appetizer. We ate lunch late and even after most customers had left, we were left waiting for pizza. Overall, a really solid and authentically Italian option.
