I am in love with their shrimp and tilapia tacos. Seafood tacos are not something every place pulls off well whether the flavor is simply lacking or the protein portion is pretty thin. My boyfriend is always raving about this place so I was excited when he picked some up for dinner. I had a chicken burrito with Mexican rice, refried beans, queso, grilled chicken, and sour cream. It was pretty good, but it definitely had a lot more rice than beans (I'm a beans girl!) and it was a lot spicier than competitors. How does it measure up? It's probably on par with Freedbirds for me. I like that they have a wide variety of meat and the option to get refried beans. It's definitely better than Chipotle. I'm pretty sure it is more expensive than Chipotle or Freebirds, but you get a free bag of chips with each entree and it is very filling. You can also get queso on your burrito for free and I think you have to pay at the other two. Guac is extra everywhere (of course!) I also noticed that they have a variety of tacos on the menu, including breakfast tacos. I will have to give those a try, along with some other menu items that looked good. I wish they would have put everything on the side. Also, there were some burnt onions or meat in my dish that was off putting. It was a bit spicy and a bit flavorful at times. I asked for Blanca sauce that honestly SAVED these nachos Bc the flavor was very inconsistent. One bite would be filled with flavor then the next would be bland. So what I would do is dip in the blana sauce first then scoop toppings and it was great *chefs kiss*. I would honestly order these again but not with the taco meat. It was kind of nasty and bland with a Smokey flavor. Chips & Gauc - $4.00 - 8/10: The guac was fresh & flavorful. I tasted a hint of spice but nothing overwhelming.
