I would specifically like to mention the following people at Keller who led to our demise. Tom Hanton who was initially our realtor, Terry Belt, who is the CEO of the Belt team, and Ron Cathell who is the lead broker for Keller Williams of Mclean. At first, Tom Hanton was very communicative prior to us signing the agreement to sell our home. Tom checked all the boxes that one would look for in an agent. Boy, were we wrong!! After signing an agreement with Tom he was very difficult to reach, and when he finally did get back to us with an answer to our questions it was typically with a very short text reply. Ultimately, because of Tom's failure to include important details in the contract of our home with the buyers, we ended up with exorbitant legal, and other, expenses, all out of our own pocket. During the process, Keller did remove Tom as our agent and replaced him with Terry Belt who ended up being no help whatsoever. When this became a legal matter Keller completely abandoned us in our efforts to resolve the contractual situation, which they created by lack of attention to detail in the contract with the buyer. Our Contract eventually fell through, and we had to hire a lawyer and compensate the buyers because they threatened a lawsuit against us. So far we have incurred over 35K in legal bills including pay-off money to the buyers. And, of course we also lost time. Our house initially went on the market in March and now it is now almost July. Our attorney worked diligently with the Keller William's attorney hoping to come to some financial relief for us. That did not happen. As a matter of fact, Keller's last words to us as of yesterday was: "We are releasing you from the contract that we have with you to sell your home". They refused to help us and sent us on our way. We received absolutely no consideration, compassion, or compensation from Keller Williams. They hid behind their lawyer and left it to us to pay our lawyer to help resolve the situation. We are now left to sell our vacant home and have been told we must spend more money to stage the house etc. Sellers beware, they do not have your best interests at hand and are to be avoided at all costs.

    Obtaining the services of a real estate agent is much more than "finding someone to sell your…read morehome". This is especially true if you are selling an inherited property as I was earlier this year. A good real estate agent will know the area, know the laws and rules and will help assess your home and get it listed and sold for a "good price". A great real estate agent is a counselor, a partner in your effort, someone who "has your back" throughout the process in addition to doing all of the real estate work. Philippa Main is an *outstanding* real estate agent and an even better person. My father passed away leaving a home in Woodbridge, Virginia - the home in which I grew up and which contained almost 50 years of possessions. I contacted Philippa in March of 2026 to discuss its potential sale even as the house was in significant disarray while I engaged in the slow process of cleaning it out and sorting through the many things my parents had accumulated over the years. When she visited the home, I looked around and threw up my hands. Philippa looked around and said, "we can make this happen." I sought her out specifically because she mentioned having expertise in sales of homes that are inherited - a particular niche that involves a delicate dance of handling family dynamics, wills, probate laws and determining what, if any, money should be put into renovations or improvements that will get a reasonable return on the investment. From our first conversation over the phone - which she took time to do in the middle of a busy weekend - Philippa was incredibly personable, easy to talk to and anticipated many of my questions and many of my concerns as we talked. By the end of our conversation, I felt like I was chatting with a friend who had expertise I needed. Over the following three months, she was a (rapidly-responded-to) text or phone call away as I navigated getting the house ready for sale. She helped outline a schedule and a plan to list the home. She connected me with a large network of trusted service providers from junk removers to contractors to painters to flooring experts from whom I obtained estimates and some of whom I contracted to help clear out the house and prepare it for sale. While she always reiterated that she would back any decision I made regarding the house, I always sought her counsel when making major decisions such as whether or not to spend money on renovations and, if so, which ones were most important. Of course, there were obstacles - some amusing, some less-so - but Philippa helped me handle each one with a confidence borne of having "seen it before". That is an incredibly valuable thing when dealing with a stressful situation. In the end, the home was listed in June and had nearly seventy showings in three days. The house sold for well over its asking price and after all of it I know some things: The home could have been sold by another agent. But few, if any, others could have been a partner in the process the way Philippa was for me. She was a trusted resource, a confidant, a person who knew when to inject humor into a situation and when helping me vent was what was needed - she understands people and the process of selling an inherited home in addition to being a brilliant real estate agent who knows the area and who knows how to get the job done. I couldn't recommend her more for ANY real estate work but, especially, if you face the task of preparing and selling an inherited property.

    My experience with Gregg and his team was significantly different than those of the other…read morereviewers. I emailed Gregg for a rate quote on a mortgage refinance and he responded very promptly with a rate that was substantially lower than my then-current mortgage company. After filling out an online application on his website, I was contacted via email by members of his team to provide the typical documents for a financing transaction (pay stubs, W-2s, bank statements, etc). I actually never spoke with any of the team members by phone (a plus in my book as I prefer email for the paper trail) but everything went very well. There were a few times when I had to make changes to the loan documents, but reviewing the documents is part of the transaction and I understood that due to historically low interest rates their loan volume was through the roof. Even with all of the extra work they had, I was able to close about 3 weeks after I submitted my mortgage application which I consider to be a quick turnaround. Closing was scheduled with a settlement company affiliated with First Savings (the mortgage company Gregg works for); the location was not as convenient as past mortgage closings I've done, but the lower closing fees more than made up for it. The next time I need a mortgage I'll definitely start with the Busch Team.
