After a while, I know the clientele numbers went up so she hired other laser techs and started offering other laser services other than hair removal. I went and saw one of the other techs, and I don't recall her name, for my first tattoo removal appointment two weeks ago to have an arrow removed from my thigh. She was very chipper and jovial and made my appointment easy breezy. She told me I'd be seeing a different tech for my second appointment. Shannon first implemented Apex's location with Jensen and Co off of Mt Rose street, and now she's in a cute little house off of Eureka. Both locations are clean and welcoming. Parking was a little more tricky at Jensen and Co. With the new location, there's definitely a lot more street parking. There are stairs to get down to where I was for my laser tattoo removal appointment. I'm not sure if there's an ADA accessible entrance to the bottom floor. I will continue to support Shannon in her endeavors and she makes the whole experience super easy and stress free. 10/10 recommend for any laser needs.

A little, but its not bad at all, she even uses a numbing cream after the first pass so you don't feel a thing after that. Is it expensive? Considering that you are permanently tattooing your face, NO! You get what you pay for, and Amber provides the after care AND a touch up appointment, so I find her to be extremely affordable! I save so much money and time not buying eyebrow pencils and filling in my brows, that alone is priceless. PLUS, the result is so natural!! How long is the healing time? About a month, but honestly after they peel the first time (about 5 days after your appointment) they look perfect (you don't even realize you still have some time to heal). Amber is very professional and really goes over everything the procedure is going to entail. Her intake paperwork is incredibly thorough and I felt very comfortable in her hands. She walks you through what to expect day by day while you're healing. The process itself hurts a little bit but I really didn't swell at all. The brow micro-blading appointment took a little under two hours. She charges $450, $50 of it being a deposit but it was well worth it and a competitive price. I'm honestly considering going back to have my eyeliner done. Amber books up but she is WORTHTHEWAIT! Get in soon and make sure you check out some of her other work! The Pharmacy window is only open 9:00am to 8pm with a half hour closure for lunch. The rest of the store still cares a huge collection of stuff. Items that apparently are "shoplifting magnets" ie most beauty products are now in locked shelves. ATMOSPHERE There seem to be fewer "dodgy" patrons than in the past. Shelves are better displayed and don't seem as cramed. It is clean and well lit. SERVICE: Still pretty slow, and staff has been drastically reduced. I have had no problems with either the pharmacy or the front checkout, it just takes a while. On the plus side, staff are friendly and professional. My insurance no longer covers prescriptions from Walgreens. I just learned that Walgreens is not affiliated with the large third-party Pharmacy Benefit Manager. So the convenience and location have been major factors in me continuing to shop here.

Devastated to learn the nurse is no longer there. If anyone knows any information of where Emely is now injecting- please let me know! There is new staff every time I go in there. Will never go back Turnover is horrible! Staff talks to patients about several former employees in a derogative way! They are paying clients $25 to write bad reviews about former employees and write good reviews about current ones on yelp to try and save their ratings! This should not be allowed! update to the comment from scott to which I replied: I was up front when this occurred and I did see the patient get a discount of $25 for writing the review so this is not a false accusation. I witnessed it myself. I do not know the young ladies name but she was wearing pink or red glasses. When I was in the waiting room- it was the manager who was also speaking badly about a former employee and about the doctor's reviews. It says the manager is Scott but it was a female voice. She clearly stated she was the manager and recommended Dr. Murphy to another client. I did get information on Emely from a current employee at Renew and am excited to see her in business next year. Showed up to my appointment only to find the nurse practitioner was no longer working there. No one called me to tell me they switched me to someone else. I was told she went to a "new opportunity" but that is hard to believe as I was not contacted. I was also told by the manager that the new person was better. I was introduced to the replacement and pressured to see someone else but only left in the end. As a patient who requested to see someone, Renew MD should have notified me that my appointment was switched to someone else and then when I explained why I didn't want to see another person, the front desk should have not pressured me to see them and then state that the new one is better than my usual nurse! News flash Renew MD- there is no one better! I am confused about who is working here now. When I asked about the doctor- The manager told me the current dr (dr Talbott?) is not recommended for a ready reduction and to go to Dr Murphy but is dr Murphy the doctor here? read more

In May I purchased an IPL special which was explained to me over the phone, and when I went in, it was reiterated: 3 treatments for $199. My first treatment was at the end of May and I paid the $199. Today, I went in for my second session and as I was booking my third appointment, the office manager questioned what I had paid for. After I told her the May special pricing of $199 she said that "I" must have misunderstood the cost as EACH treatment was a $199 special.. I sincerely know that an error was made by the front desk person when she quoted me the price, and the spa should have acknowledged that instead of making me feel like I was attempting to pull a fast one! I don't recommend this facility. It seems that there is a new receptionist at the front desk every time I have gone in. I question how well versed they are with the spa's treatments and costs. read more

Renew MD Medical Spa is the only place I will go for skin care services and products. I have been going there and using their products for about 3 years now. My skin looks wonderful after a series of non-invasive services and maintenance programs, such as Venus Freeze. I am thrilled with the results and I have had compliments from my friends and people I work with. I also use their skin care products, and they keep my skin looking refreshed. The staff at Renew MD is professional and accommodating. They have helped me care for my skin properly. The products are good for my skin and keep it hydrated. It is rare that I give any person or business 5 stars. I had one procedure a few years back, my first one with a plastic surgeon. It was ok and I would not complain about it but would give it 3.5 stars overall. So I decided to check out Dr. Talbott. I had two procedures about 6 months apart. The results are amazing. There is no trace of having had surgery. She listens and has a great sense of humor which put me at ease. She took the time to make sure I understood everything she was doing. What a true pleasure the experience was. A week or so after I had my procedure I was surprised by a gift she sent. Free Spa services at Renew MD, her second office in Reno. I had a Botox and filler appointment with Sydne and Jason, and they were both amazing! Sydne took a picture map of my face and explained all the damaged areas and what we might do to correct these. I ultimately decided to skip the filler for this visit, but was very pleased that Sydne had such a light touch with the needle! I discussed a concern I had with a surgical scar on my chest, and Jason took the time to really explain all the possible settings, depths, and laser widths we could possibly try to minimize the appearance. I went in with daughter to be her support, wound up getting Botox and Juvaderm . Was treated professionally and respectfully, by Kat who did my procedures. LOVE Renew MD. Called for appointment on a Friday and was able to get in the next day, SATURDAY! They are open until 5or 6 on Saturday. The staff is so friendly. My original appointment was at 5. Office called and asked if I could come in at 4:30.....great customer service. What I appreciate is not having to wait. I filled out the paperwork in area that had beverages available and was taken in for my appointment on time I appreciate that very much....because We all know Saturdays are crazy. I was told it would take about 30 minutes. 5 minutes into the session the machine quit working and had to be restarted. That took 15 minutes to restart. 5 minutes later, I was "done". The esthetician had it set on a 2 because the machine had been used all day long and kept breaking down. I was told I had additional sessions with my package and not to worry. Tried to schedule several more sessions. They were always booked or the doctor was out of town and I couldn't get in. I did finally get a session but was sick and had to cancel. Kept trying to reschedule. No returned calls. No answer at their office. If you call 30 minutes before they close, they just hang up on you. So unprofessional! Finally was able to speak to someone today who told me my package had expired. Then put me on hold and came back and said it was for 1 session and I would have to pay for more sessions. I explained you can get laser hair removal anywhere for less than $100 per session and this was a lie because my husband had purchased a package. They said the esthetician who did my service was no longer with them and they would let the office manager know about my experience. I'm certainly not holding my breath waiting for a call from them. The laser hair removal did absolutely nothing for me. It was maybe 10 minutes of actual laser on the lowest setting. I will never recommend this place! It's a total scam!
