I have gone to this Med Spa 3 times for Botox. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The spa is beautifully decorated. The practitioner I had been going to is no longer there so I tried a new one the last time I was there. She was every bit as good as my prior one. Every so often they have specials where you can purchase units of botox at a discount and use them over the next year. Truly a great deal. Check them out for other skin treatments too. I would love to give a renovation medical spa, a really high rating. The environment is nice, the stuff is super awesome and overall it is a really great place to have services performed. However, I'm super disappointed. I have been going there for a couple of years now for Botox. I had been getting Botox in the Bay Area for several years and then relocated to Reno. I started going here for Botox and just didn't have the same results. I kept having to spend more and more money, getting more and more units every single time and still wasn't having the results I had at my previous place. I had typically needed 24 units and at renovation, I was up to 30+ and it still wasn't freezing properly. Additionally, it wears off in just a couple of months, whereas it used to last me 6+ months (I know that's not the case for everyone, but this was my experience for several years until I started going to renovation). I chalked it up to aging and my muscles getting stronger. Fast forward a couple of years to when my cousin who is a nurse for a plastic surgeon came to visit me. I told her the experience I was having, and that I was really bummed out because it was getting so expensive. I couldn't really afford it anymore. She said that in her experience, that can happen because Botox is a low margin product and that many practices dilute the product in order to be able to make more money by administering more units and it wearing off more quickly. Her opinion was that it was either that or they were doing it incorrectly. After hearing that feedback, I went to try out a new Botox provider recommended by a friend. I got 22 units (as opposed to the 32 I got last time at renovation) and have had amazing results! With 22 units, I got the same result I had been used to having at my previous provider - it froze everything perfectly and evenly. While I'm happy to have found a place that works for me, I'm really bummed that it - in my opinion - it seems likely that they were gouging to an extent. I understand that cosmetic stuff is a luxury typically reserved for people who have more money but , that's a generalization (I'm not wealthy), and that doesn't make it ok to do that to people. People often overextend themselves to feel a little better about themselves in a superficial world. When we put trust into medical providers, it's a responsibility that shouldn't be taken lightly. read more

Extra friendly staff that look happy, healthy and youthful glowing skin. I sit in the relaxing waterfall lounge while receiving a relaxing massage in one of the 3 comfortable massage chairs. I received a bbl later treatment for my acne scars and a strong facial peel to remove my scaring. Been coming here for 2 years now and I would recommend Amber. She is so gentle and caring for my skin like it was her own! Well worth every penny! I'm 27 and I look like I'm in my late teens. I had a very bad experience with dr Virden. I was supposed to have a cosmetic surgery to improve my arms. Unfortunately I paid him to deform my arms. I've attached pictures. When I first walked in for my consultation I was greeted by the ladies at the counter. (Although they made me feel uncomfortable for how young I am walking in, they were still nice) there were a few older women in the waiting room, again making my early twenties self a little uncomfortable. I went in for laser hair removal! Alex helped me and made me feel at ease, I knew there was no one else I trusted to do the job! I made the appointment for the following Tuesday and again the treatment went awesome! She made me feel so comfortable, being in such awkward positions. I've been going to Johanna for the past couple of months now. I met her through a mutual friend and remember being so impressed with her gorgeous skin. I then saw her on the news, so when I started having problematic skin I immediately called her. She first set me up with a consultation which helped her see my skin in high def images and understand my goals for close to perfect skin. We followed up a week later with a facial, extraction and low chemical peal. She set me home with some generous samples of skin care and helped me set a routine to help my skin progress. I have never been so happy, my skin has improved so much!! Johanna is incredible, she is so knowledgeable, listens to all of your concerns, full of great information, tips and tricks for your skin and how to implement what you need into your daily routine.
