I was a returning patient to this clinic after about two years, but because of the gap in care I came back as a new patient. My previous visits were for pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy. This time I came in for an acute lower back injury. The morning I called, I explained that I was in significant pain and asked if there were any same-day openings. I also specifically asked whether my evaluation would include manual therapy, since I had been told it would be an evaluation appointment. I was told yes. This is the third physical therapy clinic I've been to over the last four years, so I have a good basis for comparison. During my previous pelvic floor therapy at this clinic, I often felt that appointments were rushed. There were multiple occasions when my therapist was running behind because they were still treating another patient. While I completely understand that schedules can get delayed, my sessions still ended at the originally scheduled end time instead of extending to make up for the late start. As a result, I frequently felt like I received less treatment time than I was scheduled for. I overlooked that at the time because I was pregnant, exhausted, and didn't want the hassle of finding another physical therapist. I also genuinely liked my therapist. Unfortunately, my recent evaluation reinforced those same concerns. The evaluation lasted roughly 45 minutes. Based on my experiences at two previous PT clinics, as well as conversations with other offices, I expected a new patient evaluation to be around 60-90 minutes and to include both assessment and some form of treatment when appropriate. During the appointment, the therapist asked me to lie on my stomach. I explained that the position was too painful because of my back injury and asked whether manual therapy could instead be performed while I was lying on my side. She agreed and performed some assessment, but no manual therapy or soft tissue work was provided. When I rolled over to get up, I was told the session was over. I was surprised and asked about the manual therapy I had specifically called to ask about before scheduling. I was told that I had not wanted to lie on my stomach. That explanation was disappointing because, at my previous PT clinics, both therapists routinely adapted treatment when my pain prevented me from lying prone. They performed manual therapy with me on my side without issue. During severe flare-ups, they also incorporated gentle soft tissue work along with heat or ice when appropriate to help reduce pain enough for me to begin exercises. None of that was offered during this visit. Financially, this was especially frustrating. I paid $150 toward my PPO deductible for what felt like a very brief evaluation with no hands-on treatment. Even if my out-of-pocket cost had been much lower, I still would have left feeling disappointed because my concern is the quality of care, not simply the price. I was also surprised to learn that the clinic now charges an annual membership fee (implemented in March 2026) in addition to accepting insurance. Since I wasn't sure whether I would even return after my evaluation, I questioned why I would pay an annual fee before deciding whether to continue care. The staff kindly waived the fee for my first visit, which I appreciated, but I still don't agree with the concept of requiring an annual membership for in-network physical therapy services. Overall, I left feeling that I did not receive the level of evaluation or treatment I was led to expect, especially after specifically asking in advance whether manual therapy would be included. I want to emphasize that my therapist was kind and professional throughout the visit, and I have no doubt she genuinely cares about her patients. My review is not about her as a person. It's about an experience that consistently felt rushed--both during my previous course of pelvic floor therapy and now during my evaluation for an acute back injury. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend this clinic. read more

I asked if I could reschedule my appointment because there was a conflict of my of schedule. He rescheduled my appointment but I had to pay $100 cancellation fee. I went to Renew PT to do therapy for my shoulder injury (Subacromial impingement and Glenoid Labrum Tear). The facility was great, parking was ample and the place was clean. I gave birth to my first child in April, and wanted to be proactive about my pelvic floor recuperation. I got a referral to Renew Physical Therapy and worked with Sarah Shaw, who was fantastic. Sarah helped me to develop a strengthening routine to support me post pregnancy and delivery. As a first-time mom, I was nervous about bringing my baby with me, but Sarah was so understanding and kind. I was referred to Renew Physical Therapy by my neurologist. I was treated by Kha. My sessions ended few weeks ago. I was treated for 6 months there. First month, twice a week and once a week after that. I was treat for sciatica. Tingling and numbness on my right leg. From the hip all way down to my foot. It was very painful. After 6 months of therapy, my pain is 90% gone. Kha showed interest in getting me better. He took time to show me the exercises and stretches which I can do at my house. It was such a lovely experience even just walking in the door and who would have thought scheduling an appointment would leave me feeling better than before I started. Second, Sarah was a joy too! This therapy could be quite the intimate/awkward situation, but she was both professional and personable. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I was referred to Heather by my previous PT. Glad he did because I was so impressed by Heather's approach (education, knowledge, brochures, resources, tools, massage, etc.) on getting me back to normal. I had swelling (numbness, tingling) on my right arm and armpit and had limited reach. It was called secondary lymphedema. Every session, I was measured, and received light massages to the lymphatic system area. Heather also gave me some exercise and stretching technique to take home and practice. When I leave, I must say that I "Feel" so much better! Million, million thanks Heather for getting me on the right track to recovery!! read more

I came to her with several postpartum issues. She gave me individualized exercises, such as an ab engaging exercise similar to how I hit in volleyball to help regain my ab strength post c-section. She also taught me how to use cupping to work on my incision scar. I saw great results working with her and loved just talking with her throughout our sessions. I saw Sarah Shaw at Renew PT for my diastasis recti (DR) condition. I started at a 3-finger gap DR and by the end of the 12-week treatment plan, I was at 1 finger (which is considered normal). I have gone to several therapists at Renew and most have been outstanding. I like that they have separate rooms where they do therapy and the PTs are concentrating on just the patient unlike other places where the PTs are talking to each other while doing therapy. My only problem is that they have a very high turnover of therapists working there and just when you get someone who really knows your issues and you are doing well, the person moves on to another job. As a new patient of Renew PT recovering from back surgery when he COVID crisis hit, it was disappointing when the office had to close due to the stay at home guidance. I was a bit skeptical, at first, on the value of the "Tele-health" PT session, but after a few weeks, I felt myself plateauing on my recovery and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the value the session brought me and how it resulted in kick starting my recovery. The key value is a chance to speak face to face with a therapist (in this case Jodi) who listens to where you are at and designs new exercises to address the specific phase you are in your recovery. In addition she was able to show me exactly how to do the new exercises and how they will help improve my strength and lessen the pain. So if you are not sure of the value of the Tele-health PT session, I did it and very happy with the results, am now back on track and will continue with them until I can get back in for the "hands on' sessions! read more

Cannot recommend Renew PT enough! I first started going because of neck pain and was thrilled about the results I got after only about 8 weeks. My therapist Elliot was unfortunately leaving the practice and I was shifted to work with Sarah Shaw for the last few weeks. She was amazing with my neck therapy and during our conversations I found out she was a pelvic floor therapist too! I had been referred to a different business for pelvic floor therapy right before covid hit and I was not thrilled with the service, so it got put on the back burner for a long time. It is so hard to find a pelvic floor therapist, let alone one as friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating as Sarah. There were quite a few times that I had to bring my kids (5 & 7) to our sessions, and she was so flexible. Her professionalism and expertise are wonderful! Heather is incredibly knowledgeable of sports-related injuries and genuinely cares about healing, a gift she generously gives to my 16-year-old son. Unlike many physical therapists we've had in the past who have used suction cups or a massage gun to do their work, Heather uses her bare hands to do soft tissue mobilization with movement, or as she calls "STMWM". She's not afraid to get down on the floor to work on my son's tight calves (very impressive). I'm surprised by how effective this technique is. Just after a few sessions my son's overall flexibility, muscle strength, and functionality have significantly improved. Heather focuses on the root cause of my son's symptoms and figures out the best treatments for him that would last a lifetime. My son is back to playing competitive badminton now and feels much more comfortable and confident than ever before he was injured. My experience with Sarah Shaw was the best! I cannot believe I got my issues sorted out, which at one point thought was impossible to do so. Sarah is very talented, patient, caring and nurturing. Despite my therapy being online, she made sure to put all her efforts into correcting my issues. Which eventually did work! Sarah always motivated me to stay on track with my stretches & exercises also made sure to put those strong words in her email responses! Speaking of which, she is very prompt and detailed in her emails. There wasn't a point where I felt like I was alone in my battle against my physical troubles. She was always there for me via emails if when not via the zoom meetings. Other than that, I have a tendency of using spiritual/psychological terms to explain my physical symptoms. This was very well received and understood by Sarah. It only proves her and Renew's ability to be flexible with the jargons patients use to explain their symptoms. Finally thanks to Avery, I never missed an appointment. She made sure to always remind me a day prior with a call as well as an email. Renew PT is very flexible in terms of cancelling and rescheduling an appointment. Hence, I strongly recommend it to everyone. And, If I haven't said this already, I highly recommend Sarah Shaw. read more
