A couple of sales people came by my house today, ignored the no soliciting sign, acknowledged to my partner that they saw the sign, and they tried to engage him in a conversation. My partner told them he doesn't want to talk to them, and they tried to argue with him that they weren't soliciting. We didn't invite you, you're not delivering something, you're not a politician or collecting signatures, you're not our neighbors...this didn't make sense to them obviously because THEY CAME BACK at 7 pm and tried to tell my partner they were just trying to have a conversation. They then stood across the street from the house, talking and pointing and staring at our house for a long time. We made a police report. That is horrible behavior because how do I know these are legit people? I had to look up this company based on the shirts they wore. Terrible sales tactics. Do better. read more

My experience with the salesman was fine. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't feel super pushy. However; their prices are absolutely absurd. The quote we got from them--for replacing 2 doors--was 34k! We ended up getting more quotes as we felt this was absolutely too much to spend on a front door and back door. Other quotes we received did not even come CLOSE to the price they were trying to charge us. We ended up getting the work done for 6k!! Lastly, when I reached out to our salesman, informing them we were probably going to go with a different company and even told them of the other quotes we received I got no reply, no secondary offer, nothing. Gardner, Kansas. 3pm today. I have a large, visible "NO SOLICITING" sign right above the door bell, yet TWO of your employees insisted on ringing it anyway (AND knocking). I confronted them about it, pointed out the sign AGAIN (this wasn't the 1st time you had door to door sales people trying to solicit business from me) and AGAIN I asked them if they saw the sign (yes) and if they understood what it meant (yes) but they willfully did it, anyway. WHY would I want to do business with anyone like that? If you're going to be rude and disrespectful of people and blatantly ignore NO SOLICITING signs, I have zero interest in your company. BTW: It goes against Gardner city code and you could be fined for ignoring the signs. Maybe a fine is exactly what you all need to STOP doing it?!? Train your employees better! read more

I made an appointment online, spoke for half an hour on the phone confirming it and giving further details, then gave up an afternoon of work for both myself and my wife. The consultant was a no-show. I had to call to see what happened. It was a "Family emergency" but they never texted ... and then they said they wouldn't do the work unless I ripped out new windows I just had installed. Don't waste your time! read more

This company uses predatory and deceptive sales practices. I strongly suggest getting multiple estimates. Their product is not superior to others, and the cost is 3 to 4 times more. They target people who don't know any better. I was victim to this, and am leaving this review to try and protect other consumers from being abused in this way. Horrible experience with Renewal by Anderson. We cancelled our contract (which we regretted signing due to high pressure sales tactics) within the 3 day time period and now we are being harassed by the sales person. He has been sending multiple texts and emails basically saying that we are unintelligent and uninformed. Very unprofessional, bullying behavior. I do not recommend this company at all - don't invite these people into your home. We regret even considering them to replace our windows. read more

The windows seem to be great and high quality. I will not be buying from renewal by Andersen, for many reasons, but the main one is the sales tactics they use. If you're anything like me don't call for an estimate, the moment I hear a sales pitch I am out. Let me do my research and make an Informed decision. Don't offer 10% for me booking the service that day at insane prices. The company needs to change their model, if you have a good product that is worth the money it will sell itself if you let people do the research and really get to know the product with out someone buzzing over their shoulder telling them how great it is. read more

I was high pressured into buying windows after telling the salesman no several times. I bought 5 windows and when the final charges were tallied I was charged almost $2,000 per window with an interest of Now I have stains from the rain and melting snow running down and staining my outside wall, obviously the window frames weren't sealed correctly. Plus the windows only have 1 lock on them. Last year, 2024, I bought 4 windows from Window Nation and they not only have double locks on each window, they cost me a little over $1,100 each with a no interest loan. I feel like I was lied to by the Renewal by Andersen, Overland Park, KS , salesman because he told me that the quote he gave me was only good that night and if I didn't buy then that the price would go up a bunch. I later heard their ads on TV and the company guarantees their quote for 1 year, they did that then too, I was just lied to to high pressure me into that sell. The consultation was great, but after that a total nightmare! Customer service after installation is a major problem, they do not answer emails at all!! When they installed the windows they never said that we would not be able to fit blinds on the windows. Who doesn't have blinds and why would they do it like that so there is no room for blinds to keep the sun out. Total disappointment to read more

PREDATORY! My grandparents moved into thier new house that had premium renewal by anderson windows that were 17 years old with a 20 year warranty. Guess who came knocking 3 years later? They were talked into replacing half the windows because "the ones facing the sun were needing replaced" but "the others were fine" they paid 25k for the exact same windows you couldn't even tell which ones were replaced. Then one year later the same guy came knocking. Out of the kindness of his heart he just wanted to let them know that renewal by anderson was running a sale for 8 windows, omg the exact number that had yet to be replaced!? Even though he said a year earlier they were fine but what a deal right!? Another 20k later and now they have essentially spent 45k to replace thier perfectly fine anderson windows with new identical perfectly fine anderson windows! BUT they did get a sweet bottle of wine and another 20 years worth of endless spam mail. DO NOT FALL FOR THEM. Are they good windows, yes, are they worth the 35-40% markup over other reputable dealers? No they are not. Just look at how many similiar bad reviews they have. Unfortunately most older folks wont see these reviews. They only see the fake spam mailings made to look like hand written quotes and the smiling door to door salesmen willing to lock in a lower price only if they agree to the contract today. Twice, I have scheduled appointments from Anderson to replace windows in my 1917 home. Last time they to sent me an email that the office would not be available, that was bad enough but the 2nd time I received a call from them stating they do not participate in any welfare programs and that they charge $1,000 per window minimum and was I sure that Id called the right company because they don't want to waste their time in my neighborhood, I asked her why where I live was a factor and she implyed that I couldn't afford their customized windows and hung up. Installation team and service techs have all been satisfacotry BUT the sliding doors we've had installed are poor, poor POOR product and designed with flaws. A 3 day installation turned into over 6 months of visits by service techs to correct the doors and, to date, they are still defective. The techs did what they could; the Renewal by Andersen Service Manager does not reply to any of my attempts at communicating these issues. Overpriced and overrated by some. DO NOT USE RBA! read more

I would first like the say this companies presentation is nice they bring the sample windows to show you and have a full slideshow presentation to show about how they came about as a company and their manufacturing process. UPDATE/ correction*** I originally posted a review based off of a salesman from this company came to my home who clearly needed more training. I am updating this review based off of the follow-up and correction to that experience. Within hours my original being posted I got a call from David Reber. He listened very closely and took the experience that I had with the original salesman very seriously. He expressed to me the care and love for their business, team, employees and customers. He assured me that the experience that I had was NOT what their company stood for. I spent a great deal of time going over the events that took place he took notes and within hours was taking steps to correct the experience. He put me in contact with Mark (the Senior Design Specialist) who also went over the experience with me and is actively working to correct the experience. I say all of this to say... I can with confidence say that the original experience I had with the original salesman was NOT what Renewal by Anderson stands for. The people I have spoken to have genuinely worked very hard to show me that they greatly care about their customer and community repour. I have a follow up meeting with the design manager to come to my home and take a look at this job with fresh eyes. Renewal by Andersen windows are different than Andersen windows. Their not the same. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Renewal by Andersen forgot to order my windows, then they ordered the wrong ones, then they wanted to install them one at a time, when they finally got all the windows in they sent out the 2 of the 3 stooges to install them. They gouged my walls, didn't level the windows, they didn't insulate, etc. etc. The outside of my house after installation looked horrific! They sent someone else out to patch my walls inside and patch up around the windows on the outside. I'm left with drafty windows and a casement window that the side won't even crank out because their not level. They use the cheapest contractor they can find to install their windows and their customer service is nonexistence. read more

We designed and purchased a very expensive front door. Naturally it took time to custom make the door. When it came, part of the housing was painted a different color. It turned out that the company no longer makes that surrounding housing or casing in the same color as the door! The salesperson didn't know this and sold us something that couldn't be produced. They sent a painter another day to repaint the casing, but of course it will not last the same as it would have if the paint had been put on at the factory. They we had to have return technician visits to get the locks to work. When we bought some Andersen windows we discovered that the warranty doesn't cover the screens, which didn't even last a year. I called about another question, left a voicemail message and got no respons. Andersen is too expensive for the poor quality of customer service. read more

One reason Andersen is so expensive is because they pay salespeople to spend about an hour and a half giving the customers the Andersen company history complete with lots of props including a heat lamp to demonstrate how the window blocks direct sun. The windows look like they're high quality, but I don't think the customers should have to pay to listen to a story I really don't care about. I got irritated after an hour went by and he was explaining how many trees the company saved by using a wood-vinyl blend, and how new trees aren't as good as old trees, etc. Also, the first price the salesperson gives you is what he actually calls the "sticker shock price." It's ridiculously high. Then they throw in discounts including a discount they give you only if you sign a contract TODAY. After all those discounts, you get a price that's about twice as high as everyone else's bid. The windows really seem to be high quality, and they might well be the best windows, but the price would be so much lower if the company didn't pay so much for salespeople to bore customers with their elaborate stories and props. read more

My original review was removed. Very expensive slider squealed, had a drag upon opening. Lock needs to be situated just so to lock. (still an issue). Several reps came out because of lock and screen issues. Screen was not tucked in, brought the wrong size replacement twice. One salesperson came out and assessed the door placement. Said it was "warped." Which was apparently the drag squealing. I called to find the plan to fix the "warping " and received a call back asking ME to take a picture of the warping. I don't even know what was warped! Anyway, been a couple of years . Obviously life time warranty is WARPED!!! Please do not use this company. I am a pretty easy person to please and like a good product. I was had. Big time! (Wonder if this post will be removed as welwell!!!) Still no resolution to out expensive squealing door. No one has responded. Please don't get suckered in. You pay money, no customer service. Shotty install. Unless you get the one good installer who cares about his job. One. read more

This company has made it impossible to use their extensive guarantee as advertised. Their staff is remote and follow a script. I was transferred to a repair department that never answered. Renewals by Andersen customers sign a contract with the company agreeing to the terms of financing before the lender has actually sent the documentation. This means that I was told by a salesman (Trey Rutledge) that I would be making $0 monthly payments for 6 months. I signed on the dotted line. The financial contract from GreenSky, the lender, came the next morning at 6am. So I had agreed to financial terms that hadn't even been sent to me, but there was never any indication that the contracts were different. GreenSky has been trying to collect interest-only payments from me for 6 months, even though I was promised I would not make ANY payments, interest-only or not. I contacted David Reber and told him this policy is shady. He said he would send me a check for $600. When that check didn't come in the mail, I took that to mean he had sent the check directly to GreenSky, the lender. That didn't happen either. David Reber was intentionally deceptive, telling me he would fix an issue he caused and then failing to do so. The windows were installed in October, and that's how long I've been waiting on the check from David Reber. All these months later, the payments were never sent and my credit score has fallen 120 points. I was not supposed to be making any payments and I was completely unaware that payment was expected from me. David Reber has been unavailable for close to 48 hours. I have sent emails, left messages, called the office, and even complained to corporate. Believe it or not, corporate RBA doesn't even HAVE a customer service department. At least, when I asked if they had one, I was told they didn't. Sales and service. Those are the only two things they care about. How can they get your money as quickly as possible and then pretend you never existed? That's their goal. I have had to file a dispute with Experian. I have spent hours calling GreenSky, Experian, and RBA. I am taking David Reber to small claims court for his refusal to pay me when I have written documentation that he said he owes me money. He's telling me that he'll get back to me by Monday if the check hasn't been cashed. He cares so little about me that he's going to take FOUR DAYS to ask an accountant if the check has been cashed. David Reber is the worst general manager I have ever encountered. He's never in his office, he takes more than an hour for lunch, and he doesn't care about his customers. That fact is indisputable. I would NEVER trust this company with the amount of money that ask from you. They will mishandle your account, install windows with broken mechanisms, and only communicate with you when they want money. There is no customer service to speak of at this company and I find their financial dealings not only shady, but borderline illegal. Buy your windows from literally anyone else. The 3 man crew came out on time and did an absolutely wonderful job. They were fast and efficient. I was impressed with their demeanor and work. Very kind and wanting to please us in any way they could. They cleaned up sufficiently and thanked us for using them as our window producer and installer. I am writing here as a review of RbA. I encountered them at a display stand where I could enter to "win" a complete windows replacement for my home. I talked to the guy a bit and I explained I am in the early stages of home improvement where I was planning, not willing to commit and was informed I could get a "no-obligation quote that's good for a year". I agreed to have a gentleman come out to meet my husband and I. The day before the guy came out, I got a phone call to go over the details and was informed it would be about 90 minutes. There were a few inconsistencies between what I told the first guy and what was being communicated to the guy that was coming out. We got it corrected and is not something I was really concerned about. On the day of the visit, he was on time and polite. We talked about what issues I had then we went around to each window and door to get measurements except for the front door on the outside. We went over color options, and he explained why their "Fibrex" windows are better than the competitors, including a heat-lamp vs. pane glass demonstration. I was sold on the idea. We went around the inside of the house so he could properly name each room and what window was being picked out in each room, again not addressing the front door. It was well over 2 hours into the visit when we started talking about pricing and what we could "afford each month". Remember that "90 minute visit" that I was promised earlier? I was also the last potential client he was visiting for the night so he wasn't in any real hurry to finish. He said that we didn't have to do "all the windows" right now and gave me a quote on what he thought needed the most work -- 1 sliding door, 1 sliding door to match, two basement windows (one was broken), and one side of the house because they were the "coldest" side of the house. We still would need two other sides of the house to do including a window that won't even open. I asked about the front door and he said it is not even included because there were so many more options to choose from (hint: spending more time just looking over the options!) so that would mean that would be an extra cost somewhere along the way. I found it strange since I specifically mentioned issues with the front door as an interest of getting it replaced. He gave us a quote that had low financing for 14 years that met our "monthly budget" on the nose. I asked for the entire amount financed and it was almost twice as much. This was after the "retail" price minus all the "discounts". Now, we're approaching 9pm -- 3 hours into this supposedly "90 minute visit". I had a long day at work, rushed dinner, and getting really tired. RbA was the first company I contacted about window replacement. The guy said that the price quoted would be going away after that night. I needed at least a couple of the doors and windows done, but I really wanted just a quote. So, I agreed. Another 20 minutes later after all the paperwork signed, he went out the door and I went to bed. The next day, I printed all the paperwork that was given me to re-read. The work quoted on the paperwork was just for the "first installment" of my entire window replacement project. Nothing about the whole replacement with the "1 year guarantee" pricing. Nothing that broke it down to a per window material and labor. 14 years of $xxx / month and not sure when I'd get the rest of the house done. I didn't like the idea of a half-replaced job. I emailed my contact from the night before with my set of new questions. He wanted to meet up with my husband and I to go over these new questions. However, scheduling would be near impossible in the 3-day window we had to cancel. So, on the 3rd day I sent in the paperwork to cancel and got a confirmation that they received the paperwork to cancel. We'll see how that goes. Everyone I spoke with were polite and courteous. I'd give them 5 stars for that. But the "90-minute appointment" that turned into 3+ hours, the "bait" tactic of the "no-obligation" quote good for a year, and the strong-arming of locking in the pricing that very night brought the rating down. I'm also not a big fan of what they do with your personal information. He showed us a big book of names, addresses, phone numbers, and how many windows/doors you purchased -- even if you later decided not to go with them -- as a way to show you how many customers they've had. So now our names will be in that big book for whomever finds it next! read more

The doors from then are decent, and the installation work was fine. However, I would not recommend this company. They are high priced and the sales pitch is pressuring and promising things that aren't followed through on. I made sure to ask and mention multiple times about the wood rot below our door being taken care of along with the door. The salesman assured me every time that it would be taken care of. If he has told me the truth, that they would only do a part of it, then I would have said no. I would have shopped around to find someone cheaper since we are now going to have to search for and pay someone to come fix the rest. What they did fix below the door is just covered by a very rough looking piece of wood that we are going to have to sand down before we paint. We had french doors installed and for some reason they decided they needed to put a non working deadbolt on the second door, for "looks" I guess, I hate it though. It's just more we had to pay for for no reason. I also hate the locks on the knobs themselves because they just turn and turn and always open from the inside, even if they are locked from the outside which you have no way of knowing from the inside. Who wants that kind of lock when they have a baby they are trying to protect and keep in the house? They, also don't provide or know specific information about the pricing of the product. I asked what the breakdown of the price was and was told there don't have that, it's just what the computer calculates for them as a whole. Although, to when I pointed out that he entered the wrong color and he changed it we were able to know there was a $300 difference in the price of hardware just for a change of color, not any upgrades or anything. I should have gone with my gut then not to use them. Nothing but regrets with this purchase. read more

Everyone that I encountered during my dealings with Renewal were polite and professional. The cost to replace windows with RBA is really expensive, and they describe their product as being the best. After having 6 windows replaced, and expecting the best, we have had to call RBA back out to have them adjusted twice as they were leaking air. (Gaps seen on the side of the sashes and light visible under the sash) During the adjustments (we were told they would be taken out and reinstalled, this didn't happen) one contractor nicked the walls while adjusting shims and didn't repair it. The next contractor said there was in issue with the weather stripping from the factory. He replaced and re adjusted some of the weather stripping. The process from the initial install to the last visit has been a little over 2 months. I'm still hesitant to put up blinds as there is still some air coming through a few of the windows. They also state the consumer needs to be cautious when closing the window so it sits just right. Really? Why? It's been a frustrating and time consuming process. The people at RBA and the contractors were nice enough but the quality of the windows isn't great, especially for the price. I'll get windows from a home improvement-store and hire a recommended contractor for any future window needs. read more

We had 11 windows and a patio door installed. Most work fine, but we've had an issue with once since installation. When we called them out the first time to look at it, we were told that it wasn't closing properly because "we were trying to shut it too forcefully." When we called about a year later because the issue wasn't resolved, we were told that the hole in which the window was placed wasn't square or level. I have no idea how the technicians didn't notice during installation. I've been trying to reach the service department to get someone out to finish putting the trim back on that window and I cant reach anybody. It is next to impossible to reach this company for service. The number on their website isn't working, the number listed on Google routes you to Andersen not Renewal by Andersen, and when I'm transferred to Renewal by the Andersen people, the phone keeps getting disconnected. We first tried to schedule a consultation to replace a window with these folks and I was told that they couldn't do that because of the high demand for their services. We called back and then tried to schedule a front door and window, again the gal started to say they couldn't because of all the demand for there service. We agreed to have them also look at 3 other windows and set an appointment on a Friday for following Monday at 2:00 pm. They called and texted numerous times over the weekend asking what was wrong with windows, wife said they'd see when they came out. Monday 2:00 pm came and went and nobody showed up. Tuesday morning they called me and tried to reschedule to which I refused saying that they had already not showed up once and she said that was my fault cause we never answered to confirm appointment. Reading some of these recent reviews I'm glad I'm not going to deal with this company! read more

This is the easiest five star rating I could offer. The entire experience from the beginning has been phenomenal. My sale representative presented all of the information I needed to make a well informed decision without feeling any sort of pressure. I am confident that the windows and door are the highest of quality and will last me for many, many years to come. I was allowed to take time, in my case several days, to make up my mind. As money is always an important part of the purchase and I part with my money very carefully I am certain that the windows and door were all well worth the price. When the time came for the installation I was kept informed of exactly when the team would arrive and who would be the team lead. With eight windows and a gliding glass patio door being installed, half requiring ladders to reach the openings, I was amazed that the entire install was accomplished in right at 5 hours. The improvement to my home has been huge. The windows make my home brighter, more energy efficient and give a newer, cleaner appearance. Each person I have dealt with from sales representative, technical measurement expert, installation team and telephone support staff have been pleasant and professional. I cannot say enough about how satisfied I am and how great of a company Renewal by Andersen are to do business with. They even continue to check periodically with me to see if I am still happy with their product and service. Working with Renewal by Anderson has been a nightmare. I agreed to the expense of these windows because I was promised the work would be completed by a master craftsman that could match my existing woodwork and design. Since starting my project with them in September, I have had nothing but problems and it is still not completed. The staining on my bay window is three different colors none of which matches my original wood color. Screw holes on the window are exposed, and when painting the outside they bent the trim. On top of this, before painting they asked what color of paint to use which should have been in their work order. To add to these problems, I have had to deal with frequent schedule changes along with inadequate crew that didn't have the right equipment to complete the job which leads to another appointment. At this point, I just want my job completed correctly. I am out a lot of money without anything to show for it. I will give them credit for promising to make this right; however, it is taking them an extremely long time to fulfill these promises. The problem now is the weather is compromising the work. I understand this, but instead of we will come and fix our screw-up on the first warm day available, I am waiting for 3 weeks with the hope that the weather will allow for the work to be completed. Here's why, at least based on my recent experience: (1) The salesman (a very young guy named Josh) pushed the Andersen "Fibrex" windows, which he claimed are available only through Renewal; (2) the bid that he offered was not competitive -- he quoted a "retail" price of over $40k to install 15 double-hung Fibrex windows; (3) then, following an obvious sales script, the salesman offered a "discounted" price of over $30k, which he initially said was good only that day, and then reluctantly said he would hold open for a week (the bid was strictly verbal/undocumented); (4) After he left, I began researching Andersen windows and quickly determined that you can purchase Fibrex windows from other local installation companies (and certified by Andersen) and that these windows are available as single-hung windows, which is what we have in our home (and which are more affordable than double-hung windows) -- specifically, the Andersen 100 series window, which you'll find have solid reviews (5) When the salesman called a few days later (predictably) to ask if we'd decided whether to do business, I pointed out that you can buy Fibrex windows from other sources besides Renewal and that he had tried to sell me double-hung, without mentioning the option of less expensive, single-hung. His response was that he "thought" that we had double-hung windows and that he allegedly didn't know that you could buy Fibrex windows from other sources; (6) when I told him that this information was readily available on the internet, he said that he would check it out and would look into "special ordering" the 100 Series windows for us (from Andersen, which doesn't exactly seem like a special order for a company whose name includes "Andersen"); (7) I invited him to offer a revised bid for installation of single-hung Fibrex windows and he said that he would; (8) It's been a weeks since then, and I've heard nothing further (and don't expect to). The moral of this story is that Renewal by Andersen is only interested in selling more expensive products to consumers who are susceptible to pressure to agree to do business with them on the spot -- because if a consumer takes any time to do research, they'll quickly determine that Renewal's price is not competitive, and Renewal thus likely will lose the business. read more

We recently had replacement windows installed by Renewal by Anderson. We are thrilled with the end result. The windows are beautiful. We have received several compliments from our neighbors. The installation was very quick. They did our entire house in 2 days. The second day was really just a half day. The installation crew was friendly and professional. We are definitly glad we chose Renewal By Anderson. We feel the quality is evident and will benefit us in the long run. read more

Please do not use this company for your windows. My initial window was a front picture window and the install was adequate, Lots of paint damage and noticeable nail heads. I ordered a bedroom window, kitchen window and slider. The slider was the wrong size and was not installed for more than 6 months. The screen had screen hanging outside of the framing. Took 2 screen fitting appointments to bring the correct size. The latch on the slider does not work properly and the door squeals when opening. The last technician diagnosed the slider as poorly installed and "warped." Stated the latch and "warping" would be fixed. When the latch replacement came in I asked about the warping. The caller was not aware of the "warping" however, looked into the last documentation in the computer and stated there was an indication of the problem in the record. I was tired of multiple service calls and asked if all could be finished at the same time. A few weeks later I received a call asking me to take a picture of the warping and send it to them????? I called and left a msg that since I did not diagnose the problem have no idea how to photograph the warping, I would not be able to provide a photo. I have called multiple times, this order was in Oct 2017, my lock has not been replaced, the door continues to squeal. I will report to better business bureau. read more
