We inherited a nice Provia door from the previous owners of our house that came with a warranty, so when it started showing some signs of age we reached out to them. In a nutshell, they have been very professional, communicative, helpful, and went above and beyond. I literally looked up their webpage to see if we needed anything they sell because I was so impressed. It's nice to have a company honor a warranty in a hassle-free way. This was from a previous owner and while the time-frame holds validity for the warranty, I'm sure they technically could choose not to honor it but they helped transfer it to our name. Additionally, in the age of designed obsolescence, it feels like nothing is quality anymore and we're always having to replace things. It's nice to have the alternate feeling; this is a quality door built to last and they helped keep it up for us. They fully replaced the handle, the frayed stripping on the bottom, and helped level it as it was sagging and letting air in the top corner. Lastly, the tech came out and made the repair, but had received the wrong weather stripping from the manufacturer. He noticed a spot where our dogs had ripped up the outer-stripping -- I didn't even try to get that fixed in our request because that's totally on us, but he told us he'd get it all taken care of and was back out a few days later. He wouldn't even take the trade-call warranty fee charge ($65) until the job was done right. Great company -- definitely reach out to them first and I hope you have as good of an experience as we did. read more

Cornerstone did vinyl siding on our 1940s home. Their quote was in the mid-to-low price range, and they had more colors available than any of our other quotes. The salesman Dennis answered my million questions and found me the color that I couldn't find through any of the other companies. He was the opposite of pushy. I could tell that they were detail oriented and felt confident in their ability to make our house look great. The installer James was the only one who touched the house (except for the gutters) so he took 100% of the responsibility for the insulation and siding. I loved that, because he was proud of his work. He was very detail oriented, and if I had a special request he found a way to make it happen. He was a former draftsman at an engineering firm too, so his ability to work around all of the old-house- quirkiness was truly impressive. Very precise measurement and cutting. Wonderful company! I got replacement windows back in 2009 and was very impressed with the very prompt and professional service. I priced a couple other companies and this one came in with the best price and the best service. They showed up on the time and got the job done way faster than I would have thought possible. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves. The windows look nice. I was really surprised at how much noise they cut down compared to the old windows. 9 years later, they are holding up well, but I noticed some brown spots appearing in between the panes on one of the windows. I called CHI and they immediately were able to pull up my info and tell me that yes, the windows were still under warranty and they would be able to replace the defective window at a cost of $25 for the service call! From the moment Dennis (assumingely the owner) walked into our house my husband and I both got a bad vibe. His demeanor was arrogant. We explained very clearly what we want done despite him instantly trying to sell us on products we weren't seeking. He informed us those such products were not doable by him or anyone else. When I told him that was not true he corrected himself stating, that there are a small percentage of companies that can do what we want. So rather than help us to be happy and satisfied buying a product he doesn't 'mess with' (his exact words) with he was prepared to sway a different direction to get us to use his company. He's the type of salesman who gives all pleasant salesmen a bad reputation. If you want to spend your hard earned money on your home in the direction you envision without feeling like you are conversing with a snake that uses smart a** comments, steer completely away from this company!! One star because zero star not available. Spoke with receptionist to set up appointment and was told several times not an inspection company. Explained to her I clearly understood and I'd like a free estimate on window replacement. I have cracked windows and a door that needs a storm door. Received a call five hours later stating they won't be coming because they don't do inspections. Reiterated I don't need an inspection. Appears I can't get service because of location I'm at in the city. Very sad. Struck me as odd that I cannot get the service advertised. Cancelled appointment and will be prayerful for the company to realize that they lost a good potential customer that likes to share when I come across a business that treats everyone fairly. read more
