After sitting for three hours with a sales associate in our home, we paid half of the $17,000+ for a new door and storm door, our HOA would not allow a door change. Everyone here has the same door. We sent a cancellation form the very next day overnight with UPS. It was signed for by "Rusty" in shipping & receiving on June 26. So far we have had two phone calls to set up the second step to having the doors put in, three calls from women saying they need something in writing that we want to cancel the doors, and it's old. Each time we tell them Rusty signed for it, they claim they don't show that, and will go to the warehouse and ask Rusty about it. All the while not refunding our $8,600.00 as we were told from the first call. Each woman said 7-10 days for the refund. We canceled within the three day time period (actually sooner), our HOA said no, and Renewal By Anderson is, as far as we are concerned, deliberately holding onto OUR money. You won't get a recommendation from us about this company that is NOT the original RBA. Ridiculous customer service! read more

I called the company on Friday for a consultation. They asked if Saturday at 10 a.m. was ok and I said yes. Well, Saturday at 10:12 a.m., I called the company to tell them to let the person know not to come. If you can't be on time, I will go elsewhere. You just lost a sale. read more

The sales guy gave us a sales pitch that lasted 4.5 HOURS (we were told originally it would be about 1.5 hours). Very little of that time was spent doing the measurement. A lot of his time was talking about the million dollar homes and airports that have Anderson windows. However, he spent most of his time telling us about how great the Anderson warranty is and how they have an industry best 20 year contract that no other company can do. The salesman only wanted to talk about monthly payments, not the actual price. When he EVENTUALLY got around to the price, the quote for 14 windows (no odd sizes, nothing fancy) was $59,975. After a hi pressure sales pitch of "if you sign today" the amount was reduced to $45,445. We needed time to unfreeze our credit and were going to do 4 windows on their payment plan. Thankfully in the time it took to unfreeze our credit, my wife noticed that the warranty was full of loopholes. It only covers installation for 2 years (after that they can blame any failure on installation). That contradicted the salesman since a huge part of his pitch was Anderson controlled the entire process, so you wouldn't be stuck with people pointing fingers instead of remedying the problem. So we kept digging in the contract and noticed the hardware is only covered for 10 years. We then notice in the terms that things not covered is "normal wear and tear." This is not a 20 year warranty as advertised. The salesman also told us that if a window was ever replaced under warranty, the replacement would then have a new 20 year warranty. The contract clearly stated that was not the case. We had Window World come out and their quote for the same 14 windows with a lifetime warranty is $11,560. Don't waste your time with Renewal by Anderson. read more

First of all, I love my doors, but we were told things at the time of the sale and installation that did not happen. My husband left a review for them on their website, but failed to mention a couple things. So, its my turn. We bought a front door and sliding glass back door and were told the locks on the doors would match, the keys. Which we thought was great. Our old glass door had the stick and we couldn't access from outside. Neither door or any of their products are cheap, so i expect to get exactly what I'm promised. We had even talked about having them do all our windows at a later date, but not anymore. The day of installation, we were told the lock on the back door would have been extra. Does not come with a lock. We also had an alarm on our front door. I specifically told the guys to leave the wires off to the side and we would have our alarm company deal with them. They sealed up everything in the frame. They would not reattach my screen door either. That was up to their discrection, but I still thought that was kinda crappy. We complained and it took at least a week, if not longer for someone to get back to us. Our sales guy finally reached out to us thru text and said he would call, but he never did. He had a death in the family, which I understand, but any job, especially customer service should be covered by someone else. The guy I finally talked to said he would send the guys back out to take out the wires for the alarm, oh and they left out some screws in each of the hinges.. for this kind of money??!!! These guys have still not come out yet. And if we were told we would have a lock on the back door, I don't care who's error that was, but it should be free or give me a discount. You can't promise someone something like that and then say, oh that's extra.. That's BS!! I love my doors, but I wish I got them from elsewhere. read more

Customer service is horrible! They installed the wrong sized door and although we've paid in full we're still waiting on it being taken care of almost 2 months later. Nobody wants to take responsibility or communicate with us. read more

We had an appointment for a quote set up. We called to get an updated ETA 30 minutes after the associate did not show up. We were told it would be at least an additional 1 hour and 40 minutes, as the salesperson was hung up at another appointment. It is completely unprofessional to show up late, but even more unacceptable for them to not even have the courtesy to call and notify us. My husband left work early to make it home for our appointment, as they would not schedule anything unless we were both home, and our afternoon was wasted waiting for nothing. They even called Friday to confirm our prompt appointment time.... Don't waste your time. read more

Renewal by Anderson in Duncan employees bully salesmen who think they should insult and judge you as a person if you let them know you are going to check other window companies out because they were making it so difficult to give them thousands of dollars for two windows. They texted my husband and questioned his judgement on our home and other parts of our life, as well as calling him "cheap". We will not be buying from them. I only gave one star because zero stars was not an option. read more
