A couple of months ago, we had a large leak under our kitchen sink and called a plumber to come in to fix it. While at our home he mentioned we should call our insurance company since there could be unseen damage. So, I did and the process began. We had floor and wall damage. Since we have continuous flooring, that meant the whole house flooring with the exception of the bathrooms would have to be removed and replaced because of the water damage in the kitchen. When the flooring was pulled from under the sink, they found we had asbestos flooring that an Abatement team would have to come in and remove. To remove that flooring the cabinets in the kitchen would have to come out and be reset. At this point, we decided since insurance was going to pay for the flooring and part of the kitchen problem, it was time to consider remodeling our kitchen. I asked our insurance company, Foremost, for any contractors they have used and had good luck with. They supplied me with a list of five companies and Renovation Pros was one of them. One of the companies didn't return my call, one did not have time to do the work, one called me back and gave me a quote, but didn't really give me information about the products he would be using. I worked with another company while talking to Renovation Pros as a possibility, but could never get him to give me a quote. All he did was talk about variables that could happen and custom kitchens. He gave me some good ideas, but I certainly could not afford or need a custom kitchen. Greg Amoroso, the owner of Renovation Pros got back to me in a timely manner, discussed what my needs and wants were and I chose to hire him. What a good choice I made. Some problems came up as we went along. All of them were discussed by Greg and myself and prices were agreed upon before any additional work was done. Greg's men Chuck and Mitch were wonderful to work with and have in our home. The insurance company gave us the option of moving into a hotel while covered renovations were done, but we have 3 large dogs and 2 cats and I opted to stay in my home while the renovations were done, so Chuck and Mitch worked around our animals and me for about 4 weeks. They also moved our furniture around as needed. They were very careful with everything they had to take care of. I decided since new flooring was going in, painting should be done so that got added to the contractor's list. The whole job took longer than expected, but "IT WAS DONE RIGHT". I am not a domestic person, so the whole process was overwhelming to me and not fun. I had to pick out flooring, granite, paint, cabinet handles. The only thing that was easy was the type of cabinets I wanted. Greg sent me to the showrooms where he buys his product from and I chose the flooring and the granite. I had a mini meltdown over the paint. It seemed like all the numerous samples I brought home had orange, pink or yellow in them when I tried them on the walls. Greg found a neutral beige for me and also suggested a couple of accent walls. "I LOVE MY KITCHEN, MY FLOORING AND MY PAINT." I feel like I have a new house. Should I ever need any other contract work done, I will definitely call Renovation Pros. Oh, by the way, Chuck probably saved our lives and at least part of our home. When he was working in one corner of our home, he noticed a natural gas odor. He mentioned it to me and I called our gas company. We had a huge pipe under our home that was rotted out and could have caused an explosion at some point. I was overwhelmed that there would be another bill, which there was, but so thankful that Chuck noticed it and mentioned it to me. read more

I had a major hot water slab leak about 10 days before Thanksgiving and my entire downstairs had to have all the flooring pulled out, new cabinet and countertop in kitchen, drywall, baseboards, and paint! I've never had an insurance claim but had 2 huge pine trees and uproot and crash on my house and my neighbors all while I was in Miami. I was shocked and scared from all the horrors I had heard of from insurance companies and contractors taking advantage of the situation. I called Farmers, they were pretty responsive but indicated I needed to find my own contractors due to the size; $35,000 and they didn't as a policy recommend suppliers. GULP!!! as I have no knowledge of any construction principles and was now at the mercy of a not to friendly a situation similar to being adrift in a sea of sharks.. This job was challenging as extensive water damage had required the removal of all kitchen and bathroom cabinets, many interior walls, and all the floors except existing tile in the bathrooms. Workmanship excellent. Few small snafu's but they have been addressed and corrected to our satisfaction. Was most impressed about how Renovation Pro's were able to remove and completely replace the kitchen cabinetry without damaging the underlying granite counters. Amazing. Attention to detail appreciated. Found all people involved to be responsive, helpful, and attentive. Finding the replacement materials was not an easy task, but we are generally very happy with the efforts made on our behalf and choice of materials selected. We would have preferred higher sheen floors which are visually more attractive and easier to maintain and keep clean, but could not visualize how the whole house would look when working from a small sample panel. Hope this can be improved with topical dressings. Bona wood floor products appear to be the only floor treatment recommended by the manufacturer and we hope their high gloss product will make life easier and visually more to our liking. We needed to have a part of our ceiling replaced due to a leakage. Our insurance company recommended Renovation Pros and we definitely made the right choice going with them for this process. It took the contractors about 3 days to finish all the work that had to be done. After it was all complete, I did notice a certain area on the wall that wasn't painted at my satisfaction. I called them and asked if there was a way to fix it, and without hesitation, they sent the contractors back out the following day to fix the issue. Last year, we also had some ceiling issues and the company we had chosen to go with did not meet our expectations! There was a couple things that I had advised to have fixed and they denied every request. So having Renovation Pros send their contractors out the following day, no questions asked, really proved how dedicated and loyal they are to their customers. Our water heater exploded in the early morning, and our walls and storage room needed a quick repair due to the water leakage. We contacted our insurance company, they recommended Renovation Pros to be our reconstruction contractor. Alex and his colleagues came in and helped us with everything, including redid the wall, painted the coatings, replaced water heater, reinstalled base-woods and cleaned the carpet (our water heater is in a storage room on the balcony, outside our living room and bedroom). They even came in during weekend to ensure everything was fixed properly and in time, so that we could use hot water with our new water heater. Everything was done within one week. I had two water leaks at the rear of my mobile home which did damage to the underside of the mobile home including saturated soil, saturated insulation and a section of the skirting rotted and had to be replaced.
