We chose Halina as our contractor via Sweeten. Halina is not your typical contractor. She is…read morefriendly, accommodating, sweet, knowledgeable and fashionable. Meeting her wasn't like meeting a new vendor, but more like gaining a new friend. We decided on Halina as she provided the most flexible option in terms of choosing our own materials, and she is extremely careful with giving a detailed quote so that the client can see the complete breakdown. Halina helped us with a full kitchen and bathroom renovation. We had a modern kitchen but hated the look. I showed her my Pinterest board which she immediately understood my vision. She brought in an amazing cabinet maker (millworker) who did fabulous custom cabinets for us. I am an avid baker and cook and wanted the small kitchen to be as functional as possible. Halina accommodated with bringing in the millworker who mapped out our entire space for maximum efficiency. This included pull out spice cabinets, utensil cabinets, toe kick and pull out trash bin. We had a custom color sprayed on the lower cabinets and they look and function beautifully; with soft closing drawers and inlay cabinet doors. The bathroom was definitely a complete overhaul. We did a bathtub to shower conversion with hexagon tile flooring, subway tile walls. Halina made sure that all the plumbing was good to go, and while this was a slightly difficult process for us to live without running water for a little bit, the end result is well worth it! We have a beautiful bathroom that makes me feel like I am at a resort every day. The tile work is very well done. As far as change orders, Halina doesn't start anything without asking us. We had a few things that we wanted to change that were on our part - and the prices were fairly reasonable. What we paid at the end was very close to what we were quoted in the beginning. Overall, we are extremely thrilled with our renovation from Aspiro Renovations. Halina's dedication to excellence and continued support is (she has helped us even after the renovation is over) is much appreciated.

Additionally, it should be highlighted that working with a woman contractor brought novel benefits, like attention to detail, emphasis on candid communication to quickly address issues, and a warm collaborative spirit. The job was well done. Frank and his guys were nice, helpful, knowledgeable, responsive, honest, upfront about costs, timely, careful, professional, friendly, and considerate. They are not the cheapest for those who look for that (cheapo pays double they say), but their quality is good. Everything worked out.

A complete nightmare of a hire! Minar comes off as nice and knowledgeable at first, until the…read morework starts, then the nightmare begins. Minar prefers to deal in cash (red flag), and he tries to avoid actual contracts. He will try to change the price on you and leave things off contract so they can be added in/upcharged later. Classic slimy contractor move. Although we did not pay in cash, and did have a contract, he still tried to cut corners and the workers had to be watched closely to make sure they did what was contracted. The problem here is Minar drops his team off in the morning and leaves them to do whatever, no supervision at all. Although nice, they barely spoke any English and it was very difficult to communicate any issues with them. Work had to be stopped consistently to ensure they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. Scope of work: We had RH repair exterior balconies, replace stucco bottoms and install tiles on top. Work was supposed to be completed in two weeks, and it took TWO MONTHS, and they still hadn't finished by that point. Besides the absolute mess they left daily, they consistently damaged things as they went along. A few highlights: - Damaged an interior door handle/lock - Clogged a roof trough gutter with a cloth they threw into it that resulted in a leak in the building/one of the apartments during heavy rainfall, damaging the interior walls as well as some furniture - One of the workers spilled an entire 5 gallon bucket of grout water from the top floor hallway/stairwell and it leaked down two floors below leaving grout residue on the tile floors - Didn't protect the exterior of the building while doing cement work and cement ended up everywhere, facade, windows etc. They tried scrubbing it off but it just smeared everywhere We ended up firing them 3/4 of the way through the job and not paying the full amount bc they clearly were not capable of doing the work contracted. We had them pull up tile twice because they had no idea how to properly install it. We eventually hired tilers who knew what they were doing, and felt such relief that it was done properly. We're not at all happy with how the balconies turned out. We truly regret hiring RH Construction and would highly recommend anyone look elsewhere for any construction needs.

Our house looks like a new house! We hired them for a front porch rehab and exterior painting and everything was done to code, with the proper permits, and executed with professionalism. Our porch was in extremely bad shape and required a very complicated series of fixes, which we were already aware of after having hired an independent structural specialist who detailed everything that needed to be replaced, to bring it up to code. In addition to the termite damage, rot damage and poor construction of our original porch, we made the mistake of initially hiring a different contractor, who scammed us and damaged the porch even further, making the rehab even more challenging. We met with a lot of contractors but none of them gave the price and great customer service the way Vinny and Justin did! They came out right away and were able to give us a quote that was more than fair especially for the big job we needed done. Vinny even worked with our insurance adjustor. Justin is super responsive and supportive and always made sure we were heard and our needs were met. Roy, Selvin, and Manuel are amazing at what they do. We had a vision of what we wanted for our bathroom and they executed perfectly. We liked them so much we hired them to replace our gutters and replace our basement bathroom and fix our laundry area.
