Jonathan came out and confirmed that that was indeed true. Everything seemed to be going well. Jonathan was very friendly and polite. When it came time for the estimate, he told me it was going to be just under $3,000. That seemed like quite a lot to me for just changing out a blower motor and a capacitor. He also told me that my Rheem furnace couldn't take just any old blower motor and he had to order one special. He said that his company doesn't deal with Rheem because their parts are hard to get. I reluctantly agreed to the repair, which he said would probably take place the next day. Later, he called and said the part wasn't going to arrive for a whole week. This was during one of the hottest weeks of the year in Southern California and I certainly didn't want to be without air conditioning, which runs through my furnace and needs the blower motor. I asked him what my other options were. He told me the only other option I had was to get a whole new system. He explained that he could install the system in only 2 days time or I could wait a whole week and have him repair the blower motor. He also mentioned a 10 year warranty with 1 or 2 years of service from his company. I asked him about the brand and quality of the Furnace that he intended on selling me, which was going to be almost $8,000. He told me it was better than my current system brand and I asked to get it in writing so I could do some research. After not receiving anything in writing I called his company and requested the same thing from them. Shortly after the conversation with his company I received an email specifying the make and model of the new furnace. I researched online and discovered a few interesting things. Number one, Jonathan had lied to me about Rheem parts. I found out from my online research that Reem takes Universal parts and I would not have had to wait until the next week to receive a blower motor that would fit. I also discovered that blower motors and capacitors cost nowhere near $3,000 to install. And finally, the brand of the new furnace that was recommended by Jonathan was nowhere near the quality of the Rheem furnace that I already owned. I canceled the job immediately with the company and again with Jonathan when he called me to find out what was going on. I am still waiting for my refund on the deposit! My contractor friend and I went to an HVAC store and purchased a universal blower motor and capacitor for $180... and installed it ourselves in a couple hours. The system is working perfectly. I don't recommend this business at all. I'm completely confused on why they have such a good rating on Yelp, which is why I picked them to begin with. This was a clear case of trying to take advantage of an old lady in a wealthy neighborhood. Shame on them!! Update: I received a full refund of my deposit and the service fee was completely waived. I got a nice apology from the owner and a manager.

But for the low price of 20K but they could cut us a deal and do it for 17k..he could have us back up and running.. pass,,, We called a friend who actually did some diagnosis and come to find out the evaporator was NOT clogged and the bearings were fine. Plus the air filter was dirty and all it was to blame was a contactor relay in the AC condenser which only cost us $30 plus a from Amazon. plus a new Filter for about $20 and we were up and running. I get business is slow but but to deliberately make a false claim it is shameful.

They provided white glove service from quotation all the way through installation. I was simple to book a same day inspection and quote request for a new HVAC unit online. The repair technician Angel Perez was just that, an absolute angel. He was unbelievably kind and knowledgeable. After meeting with him and hearing him speak to other members of the company over the phone, I knew this was a special company. The employees spoke to each other like family. Once I submitted my signed contact online, Angel thanked me for choosing them and welcomed me to the family. Contract provides excellent warranty on parts and labor. Unit included install of ecobee smart thermostat, which I am in love with! Not sure how I got by all this time without one. By far the best quoted price out of the four I received. On the day of installation I received a text update with a photo and name of the lead installation technician Jon Neves. He and his team arrived right now time and finished the work exactly at their provided estimated completion time. The team placed a mat by the front door entrance to my house, which was a very nice touch, covered carpeted areas where they would be walking. After the job was complete they vacuumed their work space and it was like they weren't even in the house. The group of guys working in the installation took great care in everything they did. My installation required a crane to get the unit on top of my house and The Purple Crane was in and out quickly. The crane didn't disrupt my neighbors or even the trash service that morning. The crane was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend Steve's 5 Star Service. They offer a service membership for less than $20 a month to handle HVAC tune ups, water heater flushes, and any service needs. You read that correctly, they also do plumbing! They will now be my go to for any plumbing needs. I'm due for a new water heater and I will be contacting them in the near future to handle my replacement. Steve's 5 Star Service took such great care of my baby girl and I during the heat. They were urgent to get us some reprieve from the heat and cool air into our home again. Their work quality with repairs at my home have stood the test of time, and so today, this was the 8th time I've needed their services. My issue was a pinhole leak behind a laundry room wall with the original old and thin copper pipe installed many decades ago. What a mess. I called Steve at Ray May Plumbing and as usual, he handled the call with a sense of priority but very respectful of my scheduling. He's a gentleman. I was fortunate that someone was available to respond within the hour - that someone was Armando, who was great to work with. I cannot highlight that part enough. And completely in line with their history, I was billed appropriately and it was absolutely reasonable. That was the easiest check I've ever written. You get what you pay for and believe me, professional experience and skills are a big part of that service call.

Richard arrived to help us with a free 2nd opinion. On Wednesday my husband and I purchased our first home and Finally settled in with her daughters. On the first night we experienced a blockage on all our toilets including the kitchen and laundry. We called out a plumbing company and they could not seem to clear the blockage in the sewer line, plus they wanted to charge us $499 to run a camera inspection after hours. After two more companies coming out they all pretty much had the same diagnosis that our sewer line was broken, but wanted to charge us to run a camera. Everyone seems to be extremely high at night if not higher then each other. Our neighbor referred us to Richard from Renowned Plumbing. He sent Chris the next morning and Chris was able to clear the blockage from the roof vent with his camera. They provide a copy of the video and we found a major break inside the pipe. Richard quoted us and we did not hesitate to have the entire line repaired. Knowing my husband he got 2 more bids and Richard was by far the runner up. We went with him and cannot thank him and his team that came out to do the work! A blessing in disguise. read more

We had a very unfortunate plumbing problem at our home on Sunday. We had a major water leak in our front yard and we did not know where it was located. The water company turned off our water and we did not know what to do. We called a plumbing company out that we found on yelp and they stated we needed a whole new water repipe since our entire line was corroded. The estimate they provided us was INSANE! I then contacted Renowned Plumbing for a second opinion who came out the following morning before calling the other company out to do the work. Richard and Junior from Renowned Plumbing arrived to our home and found the section of pipe that was broken under our palm tree within 30 minutes. They dug down to expose the cracked pipe and replaced the damaged section that was leaking. The price they quoted us to repair was EXCELLENT! They did not try to take advantage of us one bit. Oh! We had a major gas leak that we did not know about. Our Nieghbor kept telling us he smelled gas for the past 3 weeks. Since my gas meter is located in the alley, I called SoCal Gas to check it out and they pinpointed that gas was coming up from out asphalt drive way in the back where the main gas line ran to our home. The SoCal Gas technician referred us to Renowned Plumbing and thank god they did. Lorenzo came out within the hour to provide us with an estimate and we accepted right away since referrals are the best! He completed the job and replaced 125ft of gas line and did not have to break any of our asphalt driveway which was a plus. They used a boring method to install the new gas line. They even pulled permits same-day to ensure that safety was priority since it was a gas line. Thank you Richard for answering all my questions and sending out Lorenzo and Eddie! We had a major sewer problem today at my parents house in La Verne and I found Renowned Plumbing on Google since they were local and only five minutes away from my parents house, especially during an emergency. Joey arrived within minutes and got straight to work in unclogging the sewer line. Joey found out that our sewer line was severely eroded and was a certain type of sewer that was called Orangeburg. I did my homework on it and I could not believe why they would install this kind of piping. Joey and his team replaced the entire sewer line since the pipe was not round any more. They replaced it on the same day and cleaned up very well after themselves. The workmanship and communication is flawless with this company. They also gave my father a military discount. I messaged Renowned Plumbing at 6pm on Friday night because an exterior copper pipe had burst, forcing my tenant to turn off the water for the entire condo. They responded immediately and were able to schedule an appointment for Saturday at 8am. By 9am on Saturday the job was completed with photos of the repair! Super Bowl Sunday is not a good time to discover the main line is backed up. I was reluctant to call anybody out. After browsing the internet, I called Renowned and boy was I happy I did. Much to my surprise, Richard rolled out within an hour, had the problem isolated, and committed to getting it fixed. I'm a plumber myself I found renowned online because I needed help hydro-jetting a line , he was true to his word and came on time to my clients home . He thoroughly cleaned the line that was infested with roots . Located it for us and marked where I needed to repair the cracked line . I needed my pool lines cleared due to them being clogged. Renowned Plumbing responded to my Yelp request quickly. They had someone here within 20 minutes. Lorenzo was professional and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Renowned Plumbing. We had a leak that we couldn't stop. We called 5 plumbers all said they could come same day but didn't show. Renowned said they would be there the next morning and they did show. He fixed the leak right away, gave me estimates on other issues that need to be fixed and gave me advice on my water heater. So after our cold snap in Febuary of 2026, our heater/AC unit wasn't working, when the technician…read morecame out, he immediately said the entire unit was bad due to the unit being too old, he claimed the evaporator was clogged, the blower motor squirrel cage bearings were bad and the Air filter was the wrong size, all with out a borescope or any kind of diagnosis. But for the low price of 20K but they could cut us a deal and do it for 17k..he could have us back up and running.. pass,,, We called a friend who actually did some diagnosis and come to find out the evaporator was NOT clogged and the bearings were fine. Plus the air filter was dirty and all it was to blame was a contactor relay in the AC condenser which only cost us $30 plus a from Amazon. plus a new Filter for about $20 and we were up and running. I get business is slow but but to deliberately make a false claim it is shameful.
