This place is great! It's such an easy place with a variety of food! I love that their sandwiches come with cookie. Everyone who works here is so down to earth and easy going. It's fast and easy! Renshaw Lounge also has some great specials depending on the days you go! I've typically gone with a big group after a sporting event. Renshaw's is so accommodating! We normally just push a few tables together, no big deal! I LOVE their pizza. It's the first place I had ever had a spinach and artichoke pizza before. I've gone back just for that!!! This place is pretty awesome! Great local bar with a low-key vibe and great service. Came here Saturday night for a drink and some food. My boyfriend has been here before, but this was my first time. To me, this is the perfect bar. Low-key, everyone knows everyone, the staff actually seem happy and the food is really good!!! It is a fairly large place, lots of seating both at tables and at the bar, they even have patio seating that is covered i the winter. They even have some arcade games towards the back. I had the tuna pita for dinner and my boyfriend had the Italian Grinder. Both were amazing. I am realllllllyyyyyy picky about my tuna, and I really enjoyed this pita. Renshaw is a great place to meet friends for a beer or have pizza with the family. Also the manger is top notch and very kind.

This bar is decent. A few years ago it was a real dump, but after renovations they have turned their business model into a power house. It was packed there last night! Mostly 20-something's. The brew prices are ok. They range from $4-$10. The well drinks are the same. Our waitress was a bit slow. We did not try the food they have on the menu (they didn't have all those yummies a few years ago). We left about midnight and the place was still rocking. read more

I came here a few times after softball games for drinks and food. I really like this place. It has a great sports bar atmosphere, a nice covered patio, good service, and good food. They also have a great selection of craft beer and drinks. I have mainly ordered appetizers and they have always been delicious! In addition, the pizza is excellent. I love the Buffalo chicken pizza! We took our family out for dinner about 6 PM on a Wednesday night. They were busy, but we were able to be seated right away. Our server was relatively new, but performed well. Our food was received timely and as-ordered. I would compare the food with that of a coney island and just as reasonably priced. The lights are dimmed here and it gives a cool vibe. The drinks are yummy, service is good, and the food is good too! I like the breadza. A perfect restaurant for Monday-Wednesday. The beer is cheap and they have a good selection on draft. The food is what you would expect from an older local bar. Wraps, sandwiches, wings, pizzas and burgers. I do avoid Renshaw's on the weekend because it can be packed and there are often some large groups of people so it can get quite loud and cramped. If you have a bit more patience than me, however, it's still a fine place for a beer and burger even on the weekends. read more

One of my oldest drinking haunts. Never fails. I've been coming here since soon after I turned 21, about the time I started drinking. Renshaws is your average dive bar affair. Except for the bathrooms. Whoever decided to put marble counter tops in a pretty run down bar must've been smoking something awesome. Two pool tables, two dart boards, large bar, tons of really cramped table (large parties can be tricky if its busy.. by tricky I mean near impossible) all in a comfortable space $2 22 oz PBR, Coors Light and Labatt Blue all day every day for every day ever in existence. St Patties day? Yep. Cinco de Mayo? Yep. You get where I am going. They also have daily drink (and sometimes food) specials, power hour ($1 bottles, $2 wells, etc) on Saturdays from 9-10 (great launching point), and cheap food. They have plenty of TVs, you will never miss any action. I remember seeing the Tigers go to the World Series here, was probably the best sports environment I had ever experienced. Food is bar food. But its good bar food. The pizza is fantastic thin crust with that curly grease-cup pepperoni. They used to have mac and cheese which was awesome, their sandwiches are great for being made at a dive bar, their salads (according to my friend) are pretty good. Renshaws is a neighborhood bar. If you go here often enough, you'll get to know everyone. And its worth it, the people have great stories. The servers are attentive and very talkative, the bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly as hell. Easy 5 star for me. read more

Had a wonderful and SUPER kind waitress and manager but this one blue haired girl (hostess?) came and took my drink away when I was in the bathroom because my drink was on the same side of the table as my underaged friend (it was before 9pm). They tried to charge us for the drinks after they took them away after we had two sips, but they didn't charge after we told our super super nice waitress the situation. Pizza. Beer. If you're looking for something outside of those two things, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The pizza's great, the beer selection is awesome, but I'm just not a fan of this place. It's not just because they've cleaned it up...which they have, and some people seem to be all about...but the problem there is that they've cleaned up the place without really going through a clientele transition, and so it's sort of a place in limbo right now from an identity perspective. You've still got the "dive bar" crowd showing up, but you've also got the 'Jersey Shore' crowd there too. A liberal sprinkling of "DUUDE...high school was THE BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES WHOOOOOOOOOO!" crowd (a distinct, separate sub-species of "dive bar crowd", so worth noting) on a regular basis, along with the random pop-ins that don't seem to know what to think or expect. So I guess if you're looking for an interesting cross-section of humanity while eating a really good pizza and downing a beer or two...you might want to at least give this place a shot. There's just something..."off"...about the place. And honestly it is mostly just bar food but it was great! We shared some onion rings and they were very delicious! Then we each got a different sandwich and we were happy with what we got. I don't know where that mozzarella comes from but damn is it good. And restaurant ranch? Love it. The pan pizza was not exactly what I was expecting, I thought it would be a little more deep dish but was surprised to find the crust pretty thin, but it was still delicious regardless. One of the many reasons I love my friends is that they keep introducing to more cheap dive bars. I am a loyal customer of the Hideout and their $2 drafts, however due to a recent crisis in one of my bitches' lives, we had to take on a new location, and found ourselves at Renshaw. $2 beers people! This for Coors and Bud and 1/2 appetizers during happy hour...so let's break this down. First, the $2 beers are genius anywhere and will always get my attention. It could be hole in the wall bar, with literally holes in the wall, but if it has cheap beer, I'm there. THe night I was there they also had $4 jaeger bombs...genius if you ask me. There's darts and pool and it's cheap to play and a good juke box that plays at just the right volume. Our waitress was great and we she cashed out and we got the next one, she was equally as great. This is a great bar to hit during the week when Wednesday has just been too long and Friday is just too far away. The food is bar food, but it's damn good. I recommend the pizza or the chicken tenders. read more

They just remodeled! The place looks great and best part, they didn't lose their 'dive bar' prices or atmosphere, they just made the place bigger and cleaner. No complaints here! The food is exceptionally good, especially their pizza, and everything is priced for major affordability! I get great service almost every time I go there, it helps that the waitresses know me by name, and the food comes out promptly and fresh. And if you thought that all sounded great, wait until you hear their daily beer special... 2$ 22 oz drafts... everyday.. thats right.. EVERYDAY. Living a few blocks away from Renshaw, I wish I could like it as much as I want to. Fact of the matter is, you're going to get God-awful service if you're a lady, or a couple. The waitresses there will only cater to single men. My boyfriend and I went there with another couple, and sat at the table directly in front of the waitstaff drink station for 10 minutes before getting any kind of service. We asked for a round of beers, and menus. Drinks came, no menus. We got the menus ourselves, and she never came back for our order. We finished our beers, guessed how much our bill was, and left that amount on the table. On Saturday nights, they usually have two women working the entire bar. If I wind up there, I'll order 2 drinks at a time. You won't see a waitress for 40 minutes after she drops off your order. Now, it is true that the food is pretty darn good. I just wish I didn't have to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to get some freakin' garlic cheese bread. read more

i love it here. cheap beer, good food and lots of TV's, these are a few of my favorite things. some friends introduced us to renshaw's a couple of years ago and we are up here in a semi-frequent basis especially to watch sports. i even chose the shaw to celebrate my 30th birthday. and since they have re-done their bathrooms is it am even more enjoyable experience. i go for their $2 22oz coors lights/labbat/PBR. they do have a huge beer selection, but sometimes i just like cheap beer. their pizza is good as well as their burgers, wings and french onion soup. that's about all i have eaten here. sometimes the service is slow, don't be shy and just flag down your waitress or just get up and get it yourself, they won't mind. *edit to add* we went here again last night for a surprise birthday party. again, i had $2 coors lights and we ordered a pepperoni/bacon pizza with garlic crust and it was great. the large was $16 and probably 12 slices, 3 people shared it and we still had left overs. my friends enjoyed the dart board and we played some tunes on the jukebox. our waitress cassie was very nice and attentive. read more

If you want perfect fries, this is the place. They get it right, crispy, lightly brown out side and yummy fluffy potatoes on the inside. It's not super fancy food, but it is consistent and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. My husband loves the newly expanded draft selection and we both love the reasonably priced drinks. Make sure you check out the daily specials. This bar embraces what it is a Dive bar. They have gimicky specials like free pizza on Monday. Basically they just throw some pizzas on a table and its an all our race for pizza. They have cheap beers and great daily specials. There food is pretty good and ridiculously cheap. I got a BLT, chips, pickle, and cookie for $4. There boneless buffalo wings are also on point. The one thing keeping this from being a 5 star is the fact that they only have one or maybe 2 servers working the entire room. Will service is good it's usually few and far between. read more
