When I first went into the store, around 2 PM the salesperson said that I could get a particular brand delivered the next day because, rather than Best Buy having to ship it to me, the model was in stock at the store and the Geek Squad would just bring it with them. I wasn't prepared to make an immediate decision so I asked that if I came back later that day could I still get next day delivery. The salesperson and the section manager said that if I got back before 5 chances were that I could still get delivery the next day, I got back to the store around 4 and since I already filled out an order I thought I'd be all set...NOT THE CASE. The salesperson convinced me that I would be better off financing my purchase interest free instead of paying cash which is what I had planned on doing. While filling out the information for the credit I apparently hit a wrong button when I put in my social security number (that's on me) but I was still approved for a $5,000 line of credit. At least that's what I thought. When the salesperson finally did whatever she had to do to submit the order (I thought the order had already been submitted) the lender, CITI Bank, said that there was a mistake in my social security that had to be corrected. Remember my initial plan was to pay cash. My salesperson called Citi Bank so we could correct the SINGLE number error and finish the transaction. After hold times and being transferred to wrong departments at CITI when we got to the right department it took all of 2 minutes to correct the social security number error. Unfortunately because of all the waits and being transferred to wrong departments it was now passed 6 and when the salesperson was finally able to submit the order I was informed that I could no longer get delivery the next day and there was nothing to be done. At this point after over 2 hours I was so frustrated, all I wanted to do was get a TV, I just left. I thought about canceling my order but I hate shopping and a cancelation at this point would be cutting off my nose to spite my face. Best Buy will have this sale but it is the last sale they make to me and I've been a customer of theirs for years but it's obvious that Best Buy really doesn't care about satisfied customers. I'll be sharing this story with not just Yelp but anyone who'll listen. Keeping my fingers crossed that the installation will go better than my purchase experience.

Okay okay we get it, you only set traps. Great. Anthony came out to provide an estimate ($450), walked the back yard and found a nest above our kitchen window - and didn't check the roof any where else. He told us explicitly they would be out every couple of days to check the traps. His specific example was they'd set the traps Friday, check Monday. Traps set around the yard on a Friday and they came back on Wednesday - five days later after we called about how much time had passed. We also said they were still in the attic. No one checked in the attic, other sections of the roof, got on a ladder, nothing. Rick said that he'd schedule a trap check for the following Friday which would have been 9 days later. That's when we were done. $450 dollars to set five traps and not come back for 5 or 9 days is absurd. When they do come, they check the trap, squeeze in more bait and bail. Five minutes max. It was a waste of time and money. Of note: Mr. Pack Rat came shortly thereafter, checked the roof with the nest and informed us that rats hadn't entered the house there. He checked the entire roofline and found the point of entry on the other side of the house and screened the hole that was in the plywood - something Pest Friends completely missed and wouldn't have done. He came out daily to check our traps, caught multiple rats, cleaned out the nest under the roof tiles and replaced them, remediated all of it until the roofers could fix the damage.

There's real history tied to UNICEF here and you can feel the purpose behind everything in the space. Fun fact UNICEF was originally created in 1946 to provide emergency food and healthcare to children after World War II and today it operates in over 190 countries. So many beautiful pieces and honestly the prices are great for what you're getting. It all supports a meaningful cause and the service was genuinely kind and helpful. I loved the woven baskets made from telecommunications wires from South Africa super unique and detailed. Also the incense cacao bars and singing bowls are so good I could have spent way too long browsing. There are pieces from all over the world and it really feels like a global collection rather than a typical shop. I ended up snagging a beautiful bracelet and a unique woven hat and already know I'll be back.
