See an apartment listed by Renters Warehouse? Close the tab on your computer and look for something else. Turn around and don't look at the apartment. No matter how great the apartment might be...it's not worth renting through them. I was hesitant and should've listened to my gut about it. The guy who walked me through the apartment made me feel comfortable with working with them, but that just makes him a good salesman. Everything was a long and arduous process to get resolved. They are supposed to be the landlord but whenever I called they would ask if I talked to the landlord. How could I have when I only have their contact? I couldn't sign for repairs because the landlord was listed it the signature box, but I am a renter...not a landlord. I got out once my year was up and will never rent a property through them again. read more

Used RW as my property manager for 3 years. During that time there was such a lack of communication that I ended up needing to find a new property manager. One tenant went over 6 months without paying rent. I asked about them multiple times, but the only time someone finally got back to me was after my eviction protection program has expired. They eventually still "honored" the protection program (which says I would only pay up to $1000 for the eviction). However, after the eviction they still charged me over $5000 in repairs and 2 months rent for the placement of a new tenant. As soon as the tenant moved in everything started breaking. So I asked RW to get back in touch with the contractor that did the turn over to make things right. They said the contractor wouldn't do it and wouldn't support me to ask for it. Additional repairs were things like the windows couldn't open because they were painted closed, drain was clogged, doors wouldn't close all the way. All things that should've been easily noticed during a site walk through. No apology for RW, no sense of accountability or continuity at all. Every time I worked with them it was a different person so no accountability at all. When I switched Property Mangement composites they sent me a questionnaire to let the tenants know the information of the new PM. Instead of giving them that info, RW gave my personal information. So I've had tenants calling me at 4am due to the time difference asking me where to send payments and maintenance requests that RW did not take care of. read more

#1 - On numerous occasions we were praised as "the best renters" ever at a home in Bloomington (by the homeowners and neighbors). The location was the only reason we even agreed to live there, but we wish we had read reviews of RW before signing. While we had a decent relationship with the homeowners and ALWAYS paid rent and water bills on time, we would receive unprofessional, rude voicemails and emails to "pay the water bill that the homeowner has paid." (Some cities only allow payments directly from homeowners.) Not appropriate and not a way to build a positive reputation in the community, RW! #2 - We have also been homeowners, which was why we found it odd that to this company a "showing," can mean multiple parties viewing the home. This was why we initially didn't even want to rent this home (represented by Feland). We again experienced this upon move out (FOUR years later). This representative callously disregarded the fact that three of us worked out of home offices in the home and gave no indication that 15-20 people would be wandering around inside and out! Never in all of our years owning and/or renting has an agent ever called a "showing" what looks more like an open house. RW needs to communicate this and train it's agents as well. So rude and inconsiderate - especially to a "customer" who had fulfilled our obligations for so many years. #3 - This company includes a disclosure on the bottom of their emails regarding move out and return of security deposit and claims not to have any influence over what they refer to as a decision of the homeowner. However, the handyman doing the estimates on repairs had a relationship WITH THE AGENT. We disagree that there were not mingled interests in their estimations and process. This was the same handyman that was asked by the agent to replace our broken dishwasher....we waited OVER A MONTH for this to happen. Despite the fact that we had a plumber give us an estimate for a few days turnaround for a new one, the homeowner wanted to let the RW agent and his handyman try to get the job done. What a joke. Bottom line, don't trust this company or a homeowner who chooses to contract with them in representing their property. There are good people out there who care about their properties, treat tenants like humans, and willing to work with tenants directly. With SO many homes on the rental market these days, "customers" like you (if you are looking to rent) need to stand your ground, expecting to be treated respectfully and professionally. Yes I join others in complaining about maintenance: Poor communications Slow service Lack of follow up No return phone calls And new online rent pay system is terrible. I have also left a review on Google I will update because this has been ongoing and idiot me signed a 6 month lease after 12 months of BS because moving during the holidays was not happening. This latest plumbing job took 4 plumbers visits and MULTIPLE FOLLOW up emails from me. First two didn't fix the lack of hot water in the shower. Third one got the hot water but left a leak. Last one, well see the photos. Yep no leak just a mess of a job to fix a "valve"? And why aren't we fixing the tile? Well when I moved in the storage locker was full of tile, paint and hardwood flooring. Renters sent someone to remove it and tossed it all!! So if I hadn't asked to use the storage locker that came with the apartment - they'd fix the tile! My fault. Really???? So this plumbing nightmare took weeks! Get my December invoice and they charged me for it!!!!! It was my fault????? They accused me of a "clog". They have no idea what they're talking about!!!!! And never mentioned they were charging me for this!!! Fortunately everything they do is in writing! Next call tenant union Renters maintenance never follows up unless you are on them. Their online system doesn't track anything. And don't bother calling anyone. They are lackeys who just have to call the same maintenance people who aren't following up. DO NOT rent an apartment managed by Renters. Your life will be better off without it. I have 5 months left and just hope nothing else goes wrong. Renters, your phone center and maintenance team have this photo. We've gone back and forth on email. Owner charging me for it and your team thinks it's ok. No need to call 844. We've been there. I am a tenant of their managed property. I reported that my refrigerator stopped working on 10/8/23 and I did everything I could to attempt to resolve the matter. They replied to this issue the same day, and the representative said she would treat this matter as "urgent." I received a correspondence the following day requesting more information about the refrigerator. They said they were working on getting a vendor lined up and would "update me" as soon as possible. I checked on the status Monday 10/9/23 and Thursday 10/12/23--they said they were working on the matter, getting owner approval. On Friday, 10/13/23, they called me at 3:45pm, telling me that they had lined up a vendor (Home Depot) to deliver a new refrigerator unit the following day, 10/14/24 with a service window of 9am-5pm and required that I be home for this, to which I had already had a trip to Oakland, OR and had to cancel with no chance of recovering my reservation fee of $95 dollars. They told me the vendor would reach out and confirm delivery time. They also told me I needed to contact a vendor for the old unit removal and they would reimburse me. I set something up, and in the meantime, they told me they lined up a vendor so I had to cancel. Both 10/13 and 10/14, the vendor never reached out to me. I spent about 2 hours on Friday on hold with trying to speak with their maintenance team. One person with customer service gave me an order confirmation number from Home Depot, which when I called Home Depot, was not a valid order number and they had no record of an order placed from Renter's Warehouse. This morning I called for a follow up and waited another 30 minutes on hold--the representative I spoke with was clueless about the case. Every time I have called their customer service line I have received different answers regarding my case. There is no information on their online resident portal pertaining to updates on my case. I have been without a working refrigerator for 7 days. Any perishable items I had have spoiled. I have had to get takeout or eat unhealthy boxed crap while waiting for this issue to resolve. Washington state law requires action within 72 hours. They are in violation of RCW 59.18.070, which mandates a refrigerator is to be replaced or fixed within 72 hours. Every time I call, I end up speaking to a new person who is unaware of the situation and spends 5-15 minutes "catching up" on the issue, to which more often than not they end up transferring me to the team responsible which means another 30 minute wait on hold. This is nothing new, but a trend I have come to expect from this company, as I have issues in the past ranging from a broken heater during a winter storm-- no heat for about 1 week, and recently when a water heater sprung a moderate leak it took them 4 days on and off the phone with their sketchy vendors they contract with. I made 1 phone call and in 5 minutes I had a team coming out in the next hour. I made sure they paid the bill, which ended up being charged to the landlord instead. I am very unamused by their lack of accountability, transparency in case documentation on their online resident portal, follow through with communication, and their lack of concern for the time and needs of their clients. read more

It has been almost 2 months since we have moved into this property managed by Renters Warehouse. We were assured the property and carpets would be professionally cleaned prior to us moving in, and planned on a pre move in wipe down but not the major clean we had to preform prior to moving in. We invested 12 plus hours of cleaning just to be able to move into the property. I brought our move in concerns to the agent that rented the house to us as well as the property manager and owner. The agent told me not his department and I should talk to the property manager. I sent numerous emails to what I thought was the property manager. I received a phone call on June 4th from Kirby at Renters warehouse telling me I was not submitting my requests correctly and that was the reason for the no response from Renters Warehouse and that my issue is not with Renters warehouse but the cleaning company Renters warehouse contracted to clean the house. He stated any cleaning credit to me is based upon the cleaning company they hired to refund for the poor cleaning job they preformed. I was also sent an invoice for almost $1000 to show me the house was professionally cleaned. We also asked to be reimbursed for a garage transmitter we had to purchase because we were given only 1 for a 2 car garage. We Had to replace the fridge filter that had not been changed since 2018 and asked to be reimbursed for that as well with no response. When we started the lease on May 13th the property was missing 7 window screens. We waited a month for 3 of the 7 screens to be put on the porch for us to install. I have been asking for an update on the remaining 4 screens only to be told that the owner is only replacing 1 more screen and it should be here in the next 2 weeks. Still leaves 3 windows without screens and we still have not received the last screen the owner has on order and no update as to when it will arrive. We have been patient waiting to have the move in issues addressed but after 2 months and several requests on the Renters Warehouse portal, it appears Renters Warehouse has no plans to make the move in condition right with us. My husband and I have rented many apartments and homes and have never experienced such a terrible transition and lack of communication as this experience with Renters Warehouse. As you can see by the pictures attached the professional clean Renter Warehouse argues was done was far less then professional and obviously they have no intention to make this situation right with us, the tenant. As of today July 5th I have had no follow up from Kirby or Renters Warehouse, I am just told there is an open ticket to this issue although the portal says the ticket has been closed. read more

I don't know how this property management company is still in business. They offer crappy, dirty, dated properties at a high market rate. Their MOJO scheduling service uses unlawful questions to sceen clients. Every agent showing me a property was very unprofessional. The units were all dirty and disgusting while the agent would say the property was cleaned. Maintenance work was poorly done. Units aren't painted. Carpet isn't clean. Yet you're expected to pay a high damage deposit. I'm wondering who was actually paid for these supposedly cleaned units? I'm sure the property owners are charged. But, the cleaning is absolutely terrible and mortifying to have to move into. Seeing a previous tennants filth is disgusting. I heard the company is illegally keeping tenants damage deposits. Especially when paid by a 3rd party. There was left over furniture in the unit. For a $150 service fee on top of applying with a $50 application fee you'd think the company would offer better service. read more

This company is a joke. Attempted to view one of the property they had for rent. The sales person or leasing agent Amanda Coleman would text me like 2 hours before my showing to cancel. I attempted to call, email her but was unable to connect with her. (Left voicemail and responded to her text, whenever she text me. No response). Be careful, I don't know if this company is just gathering information to sell to a third-party or they are a legitimate rental company. One star is way too high. These guys are the worst. They quickly recommended renters that were obviously professional scammers. RW cost my wife and I thousands of dollars in lost rent and in legal fees. We had to undergo abuse by deadbeat renters that could have been easily vetted if RW did a proper background check. We were forced to hire an attorney to get the renters removed. Did RW offer to help in the legal process? No way! They hide behind the fine print in their contract and subject their customers to the worst kind of abuse. They even had the gall to charge their monthly maintenance fee for two months AFTER we had to agree to give the deadbeat renters two months free rent just to get them out. *BEWARE of FALSE ADVERTISING* RW has a tenant warranty on "all placed tenants" that is very clearly stated on their website but is simply a lie. We had a tenant placed who refused to pay and abandoned the property, all within a couple months from signing. RW charged us an additional $1,900 for new tenant placement. As a homeowner I would never recommend any other homeowner do business with a company that so very deliberately commits false advertising. Per their website, "The best part - we provide a FREE six-month Tenant Warranty on ALL placed tenants... That means, if your tenants defaults FOR ANY REASON, we'll provide additional tenant placement services for free!" As it turns out, the warranty applies to MOST tenants - not "all" placed tenants as advertised, as it did not apply to our placed tenant. read more

I have called six times in three days in an attempt to have the maintenance team hire a plumber for repairs and am still being told that no one can get to the house. RUN Don't Walk Away from this company. You will not get your security deposit back. Prove. E wrong!. I'm writing this letter in dispute of the refund of security deposit. We were assessed $1200 dollars for repainting of the interior of the home. After leasing the house for 3 years in a row I would think management of the property would expect to repaint the interior. Although I know for a fact that the interior of the house did not need to be totally repented. I painted the walls for general wear where and filled in any build in any picture holes that we had put in. The only area that was untouched untouched was above a window where a curtain ride was taken down but that area was spackled. I ran out of paint so did not have enough paint to repaint that repair. We were assessed a deep cleaning cleaning fee of $275. I would think after move out of a residence after 3 years straight , your company would expect to clean. The  premises should be professionally cleaned. Again we were assessed a $175 to clean the carpet. Again I would expect your company  to pay for cleaning the carpet after moving after residents have moved out after 3 years.  I believe what we have here is a property management company that is skimming from the top. I would look at all of their transactions up until this point because someone is being very misleading and dishonest. When I talk to a representative of Renters warehouse and I asked them to expectations for turnover of the property they told me that general ware and tear was exspected and acceptable.  We turned the property over to the property manager in excellent clean Shape.  The way I look at your security deposit refund is that you expect  the company or the property manager not to encure any expense  when preparing a house for new tenants. And that is unrealistic. By The way the back patio was pressure wash and Immaculate. I expect a security deposit to be adjusted and if not I would  love to see pictures of the nasty walls filthy carpets and grimly appliances. read more

I will NEVER EVER rent a property managed by this company again! 39 days ago I notified RW via their online portal that my stove and dishwasher were not working. They sent a technician out who proceeded to pull both out of the wall, saw they were illegally connected together via stripped wiring and said they needed to send in a licensed electrician. Burned through a half day of PTO. I get home that same evening to the entire floor of my condo smelling of gas. The RW tech had damaged the fittings to the stove when he pulled it out from the wall. Fire department came, then Centrepoint Energy came and they turned off the gas at the wall and tagged the appliance. A week later RW finally sent out an electrician who took a look and then left saying they needed to write up an estimate. Another half day of PTO gone and still no working appliances. In the meantime, all my maintenance requests kept getting mysteriously closed. Spoke with 4 different people on the same day - all promising they would "personally" take care of this. To be fair, I then left on a week's vacation. Told RW I would be gone and requested the next appointment to be made for when I got back. Crickets. Got back to town and the electricians come a week later and finally fix the electrical part but....can't/won't touch the gas or reinstall the dishwasher. Another half day of PTO and STILL no working appliances. More maintenance requests show up as "closed". I then spend the next week and a half trying to get ANYONE at RW to understand that the work was STILL not finished and they needed to send someone out AGAIN. Finally get escalated to Adam, Maintenance Manager, who assures me he is "personally" going to make sure this is fixed. That was last Monday. It's now Friday. Nothing is fixed. Yesterday, I notified both RW and the owner I was placing August's rent into escrow with the court until this is fixed. Tomorrow will be day 40 without a working stove or dishwasher, and my kitchen is half torn up with the appliances just sitting there. I am also heartily sick of pizza, cold sandwiches, and microwaved eggs! Throughout all this I'm having to explain over and over and over to supposed "maintenance coordinators" who apparently have no clue how to coordinate a Kindergarten Graduation, that gas stoves do have gas AND electrical components. And somehow they've all lost the plot about the dishwasher! This is/was not a "one off". When I first moved in, there was no hot water in the kitchen and the front door wouldn't lock (among many other issues!). It took THREE MONTHS before RW took care of these repairs. I have been praying since then that nothing breaks down in the unit since I did NOT want to have to deal with this incompetence again. Guess I didn't pray hard enough! I have rented my first house with Renters Warehouse now since December of 2018 and this relationship has been nothing but horrible...Where to begin? 1) The renter is required to have their rent paid on time yet it has taken up to 10 days for my rent money to make it into my account. If the renters are late I don't get the penalty amount of $50.00 rather Renters Warehouse does. Because the renter is late and it has been taking up to 10 days to get my payment from Renters Warehouse I am charged a $50.00 penalty from my Mortgage Company...I see nothing from RW. 2) I had a renter that had several checks returned NSF making my checks come back NSF from my mortgage company making me late dropping my credit rating 150 points...I get nothing from RW, no reimbursement for the late payment the renter pays, I get nothing on the $35.00 I then incurred on my check coming back nor the $50.00 Penalty I incur from my mortgage company having to pay late after the 10th of the month. 3) The communication with the Maintenance group is horrible along with the lack of return calls, Etc...Half the time you can't get ahold of anyone. 4) I have been waiting for my May Rent payment to be credited to my account so being it now is the 12th of the month and knowing the renter paid rent on the 5th (weekend) I thought I should find out why the delay. I spoke to a very nice woman who said that my deposit was not made because they told me they found an invoice from a plumber back in June of 19 that was never billed to me so without saying 1 word they applied most of my rent toward that bill... I NEVER HEARD THERE WAS A BILL and because they applied it without letting me know I am behind... Just an absolute screw job. I was told my issue would be escalated to the "Manager of Maintenance" named Kassie where she should be back in contact in approx. a week... A WEEK, what kind of escalation is that??? There are so many more instances I could write down but I think you get the picture, if you are going to rent your house out either find another Management Company or rent it yourself but DON"T rent through Renters Warehouse... I tried Renters Warehouse while deployed and that was a big mistake. I spent more time correcting mistakes than managing my own property. Customer service is highly bureaucratic and you get a different response depending upon who you get. Most requests require 3 additional calls to ensure correct resolution. My renter called Renters Warehouse to ask about why there was a temperature difference of 10 degrees between the upstairs loft and lower level. I got an automated email indicating I would be charged a repairman service feed for checking on the furnace if I didn't respond in two hours. Fortunately I was able to stop and answer the common sense question. No one answered when I wanted a move out inspection. I ended up doing it myself. I don't know where my money went. Finally, my security deposit refund was incorrect back to the tenant. You can't get a live person on the phone that handles actual issues, only a representative from another country that only does first level customer support. I just spoke with customer service and yet again Renters Warehouse let me down. A customer service representative indicated that I can have my pre-paid mgmt fees refunded to me if I were to cancel the lease early due to a tenant moving to a different area. I proceeded to that end to modify the lease and now I'm being told after I modified the lease that I can't get a refund through the Minneapolis branch. read more

This is a company has continues to bring down American and is a prime example of what's wrong in our country. Please stay away especially as a tenant. Example: They left my home with leaking water for almost two months after multiple tickets and complaining. This left my daughter's room with no carpet and she slept on the concrete floor on a mattress because the water damaged her bed frame. So I'm out that and out the water loss due to the leaks for months. They had no regard for the situation and keep blaming it on the owner when the owner did not know the extent of the damage. We made a pretty big mistake in selecting Renter's Warehouse as our property management company. There have been several issues, but the biggest ones were: 1. Not responsive or did not work with urgency when the tenants reported issues. We had to keep following up on outstanding issues. 2. Kia in their Security Deposits department was worthless. We even got to keep the tenants' deposit, but she was so bad at her job, she still managed to be extremely unhelpful. 3. They didn't have a vendor available that would help with a foundation issue we were having. How do you not have a foundation specialist on your vendor list? I wouldn't recommend them for your property management needs, and based on their average star rating, I'm not alone. I'm relieved to be done with them! read more

Our Landlord was an absolute gem and a blessing. They were kind and cared about us as people. However, the company that managed the sale-side of their property is another kind of awful. Once we told our landlord we had the intention of moving out, Justin let us know that we had a viewing with less than a 24 hours notice. We told him we weren't told showings would be done while we were in the home (they certainly didn't show us the property while the last tenant was in the home), but the agent simply said, "I do have keys but I'm not sure if they still work or not." Lets also add that when they did show up, he knocked on the door, then immediately unlocked the door and let himself in. Really. We were home. Could have opened it for him even though they were early. Of course, when a showing got canceled, he didn't bother telling us why no one showed up, causing us to stop our schooling and waste our precious time wondering when the viewers would show. As this is a pandemic, and we were both schooling from home, we asked about the viewers wearing masks. He hid behind the idea that "their was no mandate so couldn't enforce it". Understandable. We just wanted to not get infected in the two months we were moving out of our house. Go figure, once we started having Covid-19 symptoms, we told him we were getting tested and waiting on test results (which, at the time, took about 48 hours). The very next day he asks if we can show the house in - surprise - 48 hours. Of course we said no, because some people don't like making other people sick. With each showing they made an effort to never talk or look at me (I am black), but was happy to look at and speak to my wife (who is white). He made a sly comment to my wife about how he could have gotten "so much more money out of this house because everyone's so desperate for a place to live." Being that Brooklyn Park is known as a diverse community, the microaggressions were very loud and clear. If you have Renter's Warehouse up on your screen, don't make the wrong decision. Go with anywhere else. (Also, please note how they respond to these reviews saying they can't find someone because of their username. None of us tenants leaving these negative reviews ever want to deal with this company again.) read more

Used WR for a number of years now, managing a townhome rental for me. Last year things seemed to change. I had to contact them as the lease renewal date was approaching. That took some time for a response. I decided to terminate our agreement this July. I completed the email documentation as RW required but received no response. I repeated the process after contacting RW via phone. They agreed to my termination date of 9/31/19. I did not receive September's rent via Automatic deposit as has been typical. Long story short, after numerous emails, calls & waits of 15-20 minutes or longer, I was finally told that RW terminated the agreement on 8/31/19 but that they would not return the Security Deposit to me until the end of September. They have since said they will expedite it to me. I must meet with my tenant directly to receive September's rent. Buyer Be Ware! read more

I finally had enough with RW, and decided to stop using it ~ 2 month ago. They told me my final day with RW is on July 31st. which they will transfer my account balance and current resident's deposit to my account. However, I called in 2 weeks before the end of July, customer service told me that their accounting team will contact me 3-5 days prior to then end of July. I have not heard anything from RW so I called in on the 31st of July, and the customer told me that someone will be contacting me before the end of the week(Friday, Aug 2nd). guess what, no one has contacted me. And i called in again, asking for what's going on. Overall, I hope RW management team would see our reviews on Yelp; as RW customers like me have no places to complain to it's rude service. The rent collection team just ignores all my emails, because they were not able to get their work done! FYI, problems don't just go away by ignoring them. read more

It was a disaster from the beginning, and still is. Here are a few highlights: 1. Signed a lease three months in advance, and made sure to ask that the house would be professionally cleaned and fixed up prior to move-in. We were assured it would be, but then three days before we were set to move in, we stopped by the house to find out that not only had it not been cleaned, but the old renter (who passed away) had left a lot of his property in it. 2. With only a few days to spare, we hounded the local RW office about getting it cleaned and repairs made inside (patch holes, touch up paint, replace deck boards). It took the better part of four weeks to do this, mostly because I personally walked the "handyman" through the house and showed him how to fix things. The "handyman" admitted to me that he had never worked in homes before, learned most of what he needed on YouTube, and he had to borrow my tools to do most of the work. 3. The RW portal is terrible. It took three weeks to get our name spelled correctly on it, so that we could then get the lease associated with the account (the lease we signed three months prior - see Point 1). Then, once the lease was assigned to our account we couldn't set up automatic payments. Despite the tenant handbook and lease both stating that automatic payments through the portal is the preferred method, nobody at customer service could figure out how to fix the software issue preventing us from making auto payments. This resulted in us having to pay our first month's rent late, with a cashier's check (which cost an extra $18 from the bank) because they don't take personal checks. I sent screen shots of the errors I received on the portal page, I called customer service multiple times, and it took over 7 weeks to get it fixed. 4. Which leads me to customer service. Although there is a local office for RW, the people in it can't do much to help. They can take your money, they can help find a contractor to fix a problem, but when it comes to the RW portal they are helpless and have no administrative rights. And the main customer service (located in AZ) is no better, because if there's a software issue (see Point 3), they have to put in a trouble ticket with a third party software company. I own a home, and I will most likely rent more homes in the future. I will never use RW for my own home, and if I ever find another home that is rented through RW, I will pass no matter how nice the house. read more

Absolutely would NEVER want to rent from this company again. It's literally the worst experience I've ever gone through. If you're looking at a property rented out by Renter Warehouse do yourself a favor and DONT DO IT! ***PROPERTY OWNERS SHOULD READ THIS**** **RENTERS BEWARE** Honestly one of the worst customer services I have ever encountered. Renters Warehouse (RW), this 3rd party property management company couldn't be more impersonal if you were dealing with actual robots. Unfortunately, in expecting to find a real person to help with my search for a place to live, I mean how much more personal can you get, I only received robot emails. Looking for rental properties on listing sites I found 2 and both were managed by RW that I requested tours for. Robot email received to request a tour through ShowMojo. Scroll down options were a day or two spread out, with one or two times in that day listed. If this is your livelihood, wouldn't you work with potential renters on a time that works best for both, not just for you?!?! I scheduled appointments at both properties. One the day after the other. Received robot emails with confirmations and invites. First place I received robot email that the agent could not make it to our appointment and to please reschedule through Showmojo. There was one time available for the next day, a half hour after the appt. I had at the second property (with a different RW agent) and it would not let me choose that time. The second and only other option was a full week later. I emailed about the conflicting appts asking if we can meet afterward. Received a robot email back. Texted, received robot text back. Both robot replies read "if your message requires a more detailed response, I will get back to you." They did not get back to me but sent me another robot email asking me to reschedule because they really wanted to show me the property. Didn't end up seeing that listing. Second place Arrived ahead of scheduled time. There were several people waiting. All had the same showing time. Agent arrived, let us in, we were all walking around each other while agent stood there scrolling through their phone. But we decided to apply because we liked the place. During application process directed through Rental History Reports we realized the listing did not mention utilities and we forgot to ask. I sent an email from the RW website to "ask a question about this property". We toured this morning and interested in applying but can you tell us about utilities. Received a response that seemed to be robot but unsure. It did not answer the question and only directed us to "find all pertinent details in the listing". Scoured listing again but no mention of it, only that lawn care/snow removal were included. Then get to all the disclaimers in the application about how we are not their client, and they represent the owner and more about how they can or can't be both. It did not make sense. And a section on how if we're combative or they don't like our attitude the agent can evict us. Right away I'm wondering how I would feel if we had maintenance or serious issues with the property and receiving robot emails. How many attempts or how long would this management company take to resolve and how "combative" would I appear to them. Given how unresponsive they are in the viewing / application process, and that is how they make a living, it was not looking good. Add the processing fees, one amount at lease signing and a monthly amount for "processing rental payments to the landlord" that I find odd since I am not their client, shouldn't their client be paying those fees, I decided we were not going to rent or view anymore properties managed by Renters Warehouse of Robots. After I have called the 4th party website application holder, Rental History Reports and figure out how to delete the application left unfinished that is holding onto my personal information, I will wash my hands of both. read more

Whoever is taking the time to respond to these reviews, your time could be put to better use actually overseeing tenant requests and giving employees lessons on how to communicate. I've just added another one star review because you are calling me a liar and entirely missed the point about my problem with the lease extension. I agree the landlord has every right to deny a lease extension. It's a big pay day for Renters Warehouse when a new tenant moves in. I disagree on how that was NOT communicated. This is a sentence from the Reply by the Business Manager - "After this information was relayed to the tenants, that requested the lease extension, we proceeded with our relisting process which does include showing the property to prospective tenants." In what form did you relay this information to the tenants (my son)? - by simply scheduling two showings the next day! UNACCEPTABLE read more

Renters Warehouse does little to help manage my property since 2018. They delayed rent payments to the owner (the tenant paid on time) because of a "software glitch"(amounting to an interest free loan to them) and recently notified the owner of a 22% increase in their management fee on an existing lease, given the owner no opportunity to recover the increase from the tenant. I have not heard once from any sales person since signing our agreement. I will terminate my agreement at the end of the lease and either go it alone or find another property manager. read more

I wish we could give a ZERO star! Very unorganized, I have submitted maitenamce tickets that have never been fixed. I had a valve break on the back of a toilet, was told it was "not an emergency", it took well over 48 hours to get it fixed, all while having to turn the water off or have actively running water pouring out of the valve. The heater quit working when it was 40 degrees out and was also considered "not an emergency". This issue was never fixed prior to my move out. Many of the people I spoke with were uneducated and clueless. This is an example of an ACTUAL response I was given through email by their Security Deposit Coordinator: Your lease don't end until 4/30, you will be countable for the rent, unless the owner approve you for moving. That where I threw my hands up and knew I dealing with a less than stellar and unprofessioal company! My advice: STAY AWAY from Renters Warehouse!!!! read more

Do not rent through renters warehouse! I rented from them for six years, two different places and three years at both properties. My first experience was amazing cause my landlord actually took pride in his property. The realtor that renters warehouse assigned to his property was rude and unprofessional. He told me that my landlord wouldn't rent to me because I didn't have a credit score of 650+. Umm yeah I would buy a house if I did and wouldn't be renting. Also credit score has nothing to do with my rental history. I would pay my rent before any other bills hence my credit score. I told him to present my info and allow the landlord to decide. This time I got the slumlord of Brooklyn park! Renters Warehouse protects the slumlords as well. When I rented my unit 3 years ago, I paid first months, last months (known as holdover charge) and damage deposit upfront. Three years later renters warehouse claims that I did not pay rent for the last month. I had to call two times to ask that my account be corrected and file with the BBB. I received several voicemails claiming that I failed to pay my rent. Plus back in October of 2019 they claimed I failed to pay my rent and I provided proof of payment to have the accounting fixed again. Funny how I could paid for three years solid and during a pandemic but they cannot get their accounting correct. Each year I had to request corrected CRP's. The landlord sent some guy to my house in pajamas on Mother's Day to look at a water issue because my neighbor filed a complaint with the city. The other person she sent mixed quick cement and patched the concrete blocks in the tuck-under/garage to prevent water from entering the unit and didn't want to remove the installation that was soaking wet. I ended up with mice in my unit and the landlord told me to use traps and would not send out anyone until I complained again. The deck was at a slant and the city even allowed it. I experienced gas leaks because the landlord never had anyone check the couplings/fitting to make sure they were properly sealed. The realtors they use are rude and unprofessional. My lease was to end 6/30/21, the realtor started emailing and texting on April 5th me about my intentions with the unit as the landlord wanted to sell. I thought a tenant was allowed 60 days to give notice? Why are you contacting me prior? Renters Warehouse allows the landlords to charge for normal wear/tear on a unit. I was charged $50 to install a light fixture that fell from the ceiling while I was sleeping and the glass cover hit me. Renters warehouse was not allowing maintenance request unless it was an emergency due to covid 19. The landlord also charged me $25 for a closet handle on a hollow door that was make shift repaired prior to my family renting the unit. My friend tried to use them to rent out her townhome. They allowed her unit to sit empty for over 60 days because they claimed the application they received were not of high quality and she asked to review the applications. Needless to say she was able to rent her unit out on her own within less than a week and used a different company. Renters warehouse charges the landlords all fees up front and over price the units. Renters Warehouse is managing our rental house. Our assigned maintenance coordinator LoughRee is the lifesaver for us. No heat - Furnace not working emergency calling from out tenant in Minnesota winter means serious urgency. LoughRee immediately tried to contact us and realized that we are 2 hours behind Minnesota and we do have the Home Service Plus from Gas Company. She contacted the Gas Company and scheduled the service for the same day. After the service was finished, she followed up and made sure the issue was really addressed.
