I parked on some gravel and kind of walked around the house for a minute, before trying a doorbell and hoping it was the right place. A sign on the actual door to enter into would have been helpful. They were awesome and let me sit and wait for them to shave her instead of most places that do a drop off. I don't like the drop off model because your animal is kenneled all day when that could be totally avoided. It took 30 minutes. Poppy got a little sassy and hissed/swiped, but both women working were clearly experienced and knew to expect this behavior and manage it well, too. The price point was the same as other places I've been to. Check them out!

She probably would have drug me out of the place if she could. That is not a joke - she would have. Last time after being home awhile, I discovered dried blood in the fur of her ears. She'd been more and more fearful with every grooming drop-off and suddenly I had evidence of why. He is a mini poodle that we cut like a Bichon. His first cut was good but a bit short on top and long in the ears. When you make an appointment, they do actually groom your dog at the scheduled time. They call you as soon as they are done, so the dog is only there for the time that he is being groomed. I've never liked the places where you bring your dog in at 8 am and then you get a call for pick up at around 5 or 6 pm, because you know that the dog has spent most of the day sitting in a cage. Another thing that I liked was that they wrote down the instructions I gave them for the first appointment, and they did review their notes for the second appointment and knew exactly what I wanted done. I didn't have to go through the whole spiel again. I was so happy to find a good groomer so quickly after moving here. It can sometimes be a long and tedious process until you find the right place. I got lucky the first time!
