I almost left this review at the wrong shop because I kept thinking the name was Repair Stop, which is a different shop in the Santanita Mall. Anyways, I have around 10 to 15 iOS and Apple devices, and almost all of them have been serviced here at this nice mom and pop shop. The owner is sometimes present, and they offer reasonable pricing for fixing your digital devices. This five-star review is for a specific incident when I was getting my iPad fixed. The lady informed me that they didn't have the screen shield I wanted, but she said that if I purchased it, they would install it for me as a bonus. Eventually, I brought in the screen protectors, probably a few months later, though I'm not entirely sure if they remembered what they had promised. Nevertheless, they helped me apply the screen protectors to my iPads anyway. Despite it being a bonus, they took the time to do a meticulous job, especially since the screen was slightly scratched. It's always more challenging to apply a protector when the surface is already damaged, and I appreciate the fact that they spent the time to eliminate all the bubbles and didn't cut corners. Another amusing moment occurred when I entered the shop, and the owner asked if I was there to get the Gundam robots. Apparently, they had these limited-edition models on sale. I had no idea what he was talking about, so when I thought he said "condoms," I was shocked and embarrassed. Lol. The shop is conveniently located tucked in the side of a larger Asian Plaza, right next to the laundromat, which is nice because sometimes it only takes 15 minutes to half an hour to change batteries or fix minor cosmetic dents or replace screens for phones and iPads. My iPhone sustained water damage so I did some research only and found that the likely culprit was a relatively inexpensive proximity sensor that lives near the earpiece, behind the screen. Repair Apple is the nearest phone repair store to me, so I paid them a visit. When I got there, the woman who was working the counter was not very friendly or welcoming, and she barred me from entering with my electric scooter and told me to leave it parked outside, and that it should be safe because there is a security guard at the adjacent store. Well, I don't think it's fair to expect a neighbor's security to watch over my scooter. Fine, if it's store policy that scooters cannot be allowed inside, I guess I can't really hold that against them. But I was not going to leave my ride unattended. So, I just proceeded to speak to her from outside the entrance. But the thing that really left me with a bad impression is, I explained the situation with my phone, and she said the problem is the motherboard. I told her I did some research and it may be the proximity sensor. She quickly shut me down and said no, it is the motherboard. I figured there is no changing her mind so I left and called up another repair shop nearby. That gentleman was extremely pleasant over the phone, and he offered to look at my phone if I stopped in and get me an answer within minutes. So I headed straight over. As it turns out, the issue was, in fact, the proximity sensor and not the motherboard. Total repair cost was $45. I don't think Repair Apple people know what they are doing and will not ever be returning here. read more

We had been traveling and had taken the iPhone to a shop in Las Vegas. The phone was working perfectly, however the screen had become raised. On 3/26 I brought my iPhone XS in for screen replacement. The lady initially told me they are out of that screen but after calling her "boss" she was able to find a screen. After I left the store I noticed the screen will from time to time scroll to the top of any page I am in. I bought it back to the store and the lady said this "happens sometime" and replacement the screen for me on 4/11. The second screen dramatically killed my battery. I went from lasting all day to my phone dieing around 2pm with minimum usage. The screen was also hot all the time. Then on 4/13 I started to notice hairline lines showing up in the middle of my screen. Since I live very far I cannot go in to have them check it out right away and by the end of the week the lines became cracks. When I take it back to the store they refuse to replace the screen again. I found this spot on Yelp after leaving the Santa Anita mall. It drew me in due to good reviews and a check-in offer of 50% for an iPhone screen repair. I called on the way and was quoted one price claiming it was the best in the market, but then it went up when we got there to more expensive than what we found at multiple other mall spots. My wife just really wanted her phone repaired so we went ahead with it because he offered to throw in a screen protector. The repair was fast and looked to be good quality, but after Checking-in on Yelp and claiming the 50% repair offer, they would not honor it. The repair tech called Chad the owner, and he tried to claim it was expired, which it was not because there was no expiration date and the timer had just started on the app. The offer was active on Yelp and I did it right in front of the tech. I have the screen shots attached to show that it was good and should have been honored for my wife's iPhone 11 screen repair. After some time trying to get me to pay full price they offered a small discount back to what I was originally quoted over the phone. Came to about 21% off instead of 50%. Since my wife was getting upset we just accepted, paid, and left. They said the Yelp offer will be removed so hopefully no one else has to deal with what we went through. I understand a business owners need to make a profit, but this was a legitimate offer that drew me in (which is the purpose), and they failed to come through. read more
