In 1994, we were celebrating our 10th Anniversary, and went to Miguel for ideas on matching rings. He created a design that was breathtaking and fit the occasion perfectly. In 2004, we got married, and again went to Miguel to design our rings. We had an idea of what we wanted, and his typical " trust me, you will like it" comment, we left him to it. The rings he created with white gold, sapphires and diamonds, were beyond what we expected, and truly were a masterpiece and one of a kind. His knowledge of his craft, his laid back and friendly demeanour is probably why today we are more than just good customers, we are "family". No pressure on fees: I told sales associate Linda our budget and she ensured to stay in it. If I was attracted to something a bit more expensive she did warn me before taking it out of display and even showed me comparables that were in my budget. They not only understand a couple's desire to buy wedding rings but understand the bigger picture of planning a wedding itself and therefore are very considerate when discussing prices. 2. The team's patience: My husband and I went into the store not knowing exactly what we wanted. We stayed there for a very long time looking and they never pressured us to buy. They kept advising us to take our time because they understand how big of a decision this is. 3. Very informative: My husband works as an Electrician and therefore they adjusted ring recommendations to rings that don't scratch easily. They also taught me how to clean the rings to keep it an extra shine as well as mentioned how easy it is to resize in the future. We heard about Hollywood Diamond through word-of-mouth, and thought we could sit down to educate ourselves about diamonds, as well as try on some settings. Thach and his wife had the patience of saints to sit down with us for 2 hours to educate us on the 4 C's of a diamond, lab vs. mined, sizing, settings, literally any question and concern we could think of - Thach took seriously and alleviated our thoughts. Overall, it was a very pleasant, low pressure experience and to seal the deal, the pricing was unbeatable when we compared to online retailers. The cherry on top was that we were visiting from Vancouver, and Hollywood Diamond was able to get the ring completed for us in 10 days! That's unheard of, and we are grateful to the Thai family for going above and beyond.

So I searched up and found Right Time, which is conveniently located right in the atrium. Out of all price quotes, Right Time had the cheapest price quote which was $35 + tax compared to the $40 $45 price quotes. And Gabriella, the business owner, estimated it would take 1 hour for the repair. Which is amazing compared to the other estimates I got. So I dropped by around 1 and returned an hour later at 2 and my watch was fixed almost like new. The glass of the crystal is slightly raised above the height of my actual watch so you can feel the bump and so now I have to be even more careful. I'm still happy with the repair and the workers there were super nice. I'd totally return to get my watch fixed if it needs fixing again, which hopefully doesn't happen. Totally recommend.

They did come from Birks and I have the paper work to prove it. A further insult, "These pearls don't feel real." Then I was quoted a minimum $1150. for the repairs, if the repair shop would take them. I have taken my pieces to Edwards and Davies where the jeweller remarked on the beauty and value of natural versus cultured pearls. My repairs there will be less than a third of Birk's quote. And they do beautiful work.
