Since first visiting Masamigos in December, we've somehow... accidentally... strategically…read more.. lovingly integrated them into our weekly schedule. At this point, it's less "Where should we eat?" and more "See you at Masamigos?" They've truly become our amigos. A tight crew of hard working humans out there in a church parking lot, pressing comfort and familiarity into freshly made corn tortillas like it's a calling. There's something poetic about eating tacos under umbrellas in a parking lot that feels more like a neighborhood block party than a food stop. The tortillas are made fresh, the fillings are generous, and every bite tastes like someone actually cares. And then there's the coffee. Not an afterthought. Not a side quest. Killer coffee. The kind that makes you consider ordering a second cup "for the road" that you absolutely drink before you even turn the key in the ignition. It's simple. It's honest. It's consistent. Masamigos isn't just a taco stop anymore, it's part of the routine. And honestly, if a church parking lot is where weekly joy is being served on a warm tortilla, that feels spiritually aligned.

Saw this place on tik tok and noticed it was down the street from me so my sister and I decided to…read moretry it out. They're parked in front of the church on a semi busy street so keep in mind there's minimal parking. We went on a Thursday morning around 9am and the guy who took our order was really kind. We ordered 3 drinks and 3 tacos. Drinks were around $6 each and each taco was $4. Given the price of the tacos we expected it to be on a full size tortilla (maybe it was?) but it seemed like street taco size when we got it. Super tiny and honestly it was mid. We got 2 migas tacos + 1 of the chorizo, it was not bad at all but very mid for a small $4 taco. The drinks were good- brown sugar miso lattes were decent but not sure where the miso flavor was supposed to come in. The matcha, as shown in the picture was very diluted by the oat milk so it unfortunately was not a rich matcha taste. All in all, it is a nice spot it's just a little over priced. I'd like to try their cortado to really grasp their coffee flavor so I'll do so next time.

Here is why you need to check out Hungry Bear Tacos: * Handmade Tortillas: You can really taste the difference; the tortillas are fresh, authentic, and have the perfect texture. * The Quesadilla: It is huge and loaded with melted cheese and savory meat--definitely a must-order. * The Vibe: Their truck is one of the most impressive I've seen, complete with a TV that makes waiting for your food actually enjoyable. * Top-Tier Service: The staff was really nice and provided great service, making the whole experience even better.

Okay so I do have to say. Not the WORST tacos ive had but honestly these are not good tacos. Ive…read moretried them several times now and in my very unprofessional opinion It was really disappointing. Im a person WITH tastebuds. Don't give me mayo people tacos and mayo people salsa. Why go bland with your flavors? Why even put up the food stand in the first place if your meat taste like it was used to clean the table with. Make it make sense. It doesn't. If you came and got lucky one day thats good for you but ive tried their tacos regularly. Its 90% disappointment. I got them cause it was the closest thing to me. I work like right down the street. Even my co workers say the same. The one with the tortilla lady on it is a little better. Try that one. The best are in el monte. Karinas tacos i think. Idk the name really I just know how to get there. And only when im going, because to name streets ‍‍ but I think its near peck. Its next to a T intersection. And there is a small shopping center. Its also a food truck. but yeah. This place is good if your hungry and dont care about flavor. So like if you were a literal hungry bear. Just eating to eat. I hate writing and actually posting reviews but I really just felt like it had to be said.
