Prior to this, I had tried two other places and have decided to continue to receive treatment here. for me, I was looking for a practice I felt comfortable going to regularly and consistently. While there has been some confusion with the front desk regarding billing, the owner, Marc, has been helpful in clearing things up. I have found Katie to be knowledgeable and warm. Her confidence in me has been super helpful and I like all the tips and nutritional/supplement information. As for the treatment itself, the needles don't hurt and it's a relaxing experience. Acupuncture is a practice that I wasn't super familiar with. However I have a friend who swears by it. improving blood flow, nutrition/diet tips and having that resource/advocate has certainly been beneficial. Also not all places take insurance but I am glad this practice takes mine as regular treatments can add up over time! That was a big reason I decided to switch from a previous provider who I liked as paying out of pocket for regular care would add up. parking is easy and the location is convenient. Me and my husband had been trying to get pregnant for about six months, after two months of meeting with Dr.Courtney and her giving me a detailed nutrition plan/fertility focused acupuncture, we finally conceived our baby girl! BEWARE!! READ those bad reviews carefully before signed up!! Bad service and bad customer service from the consultation stage for fertility. They just want to find a way to charge you money. The doctor said they are really UPSET when i'm not showing interested in their services. When I asked the receptionist : Should I cancel the appointment because i don't want to get charged $100 (it's within 24 hours), because we can still use the knowledge for our future pregnancy. She was at first confirmed and waived it. Then called me back told me their doctor was VERY UPSET and don't see the potential in me as a future customer and don't want to waste their valuable time! Very frustrated because I specifically told her that I'm still interested in other services but they simply just decided to charge fees no matter what. Bad experience overall. I can safely say this is one of the worse experiences we have ever had with any kind of service profession, let alone a wellness center. I usually try not to post negative reviews and focus on the positives, but I will say that the people we interacted with at Reproductive Wellness seemed much more concerned about how much money they can get from you then your actual well-being. Long story short, my wife was a patient/client at Reproductive Wellness and despite the fact our insurance covered up to 12 acupuncture sessions ta 100%, they kept trying to bill us extra and charge us more even though they were the ones we were 100% covered to begin with. I basically had to send them the insurance claim showing the paid coverage by our insurance before they refunded the extra charges. This happened twice and after my wife called the office to dispute the second time they charged us extra, she was then yelled at and belittled by the office manager over the phone to the point of bringing her to tears. Obviously this is the exact opposite treatment you would expect from a medical facility that is supposed to have your health and mental well being top of mind. Then without even explaining further they canceled her remaining appointments. Very unprofessional and uncaring thing to do for people who claim to care about your well being. Sad thing is, once we got the insurance claim, it was exactly like we said and the session was again 100% covered by our insurance and Reproductive Wellness once again refunded us. At the end of the day, we were happy to take our business elsewhere, but it's just unfortunate when you encounter businesses that are in the health and wellness area, that seemingly only concerned about their bottom line and disregard the human aspect of it all. read more

Dr. Sklar has been the biggest blessing during my fertility journey. Katie is an absolute gift to the world. Never have I ever met a healthcare professional that has been so genuinely invested in the outcome of their patients. I've been going to her for two years now. She treated me for a year after trying to conceive for a few years. After a year of treatment, we finally became pregnant but unfortunately it ended in a chemical pregnancy. While I appreciate your intent shared in this response, in my opinion if a practitioner is not able to deliver the full services then they should not charge for such. If I were in your shoes, I would've refunded some of the over $1200+ charged, to account for not being able to provide the full service. I was not part of the conversation you stated instructing me to find help for the heavy metals then return at a later time. How it was relayed to me by Lomika was sorry for the delay; here's the plan (which did not address my health issues but was generic and she said it would be at this time) and you don't need to attend the last call. I had been on birth control for 15+ years so I stared a treatment to balance my hormones before trying to get pregnant and in 2 months I was pregnant! I went to Reproductive Wellness for have my chronic disease treated. Courtney is the acupuncturist who recommended by my friend. After be treated by her for about eight times, my symptom is improved by 80%. She knows which direction to go in order to treat the disease indirectly. I can feel my body is healing week by week. Especially with her diet consultation for me, it gives me the idea how I should treat my own chronic disease by feeding myself right food. I found Courtney after 3 consecutive miscarriages in 2 years, and after a doctor had told us that diet and alcohol consumption etc has nothing to do with sperm and egg quality and he was instead pushing meds on us that we didn't need. JoAnna is wonderful!! I had a deep tissue by her today. I'm here visiting from the Bay Area and my lovely girlfriend treated me to a massage. Positives: She was quiet and didn't talk my ear off which allowed me to get into a deep relaxation state. Thank you ! Her technique was very symmetric, rhythmic, it flowed, loved the hand and finger work and the hot stones alongside the contrast with her cold hands actually felt amazing!! First deep tissue I had without lots of elbow work but still very good. Location was easy to find. It felt feminine inside the center and certainly geared to promote fertility and wellness and I loved all the healthy books they sell. Negatives: I could hear traffic noise as it's near the freeway when I was face down then when I was face up I could hear the calming music that was playing so it was good. The bathroom is somewhat far from the center. When I gave the tip, I was just hoping it got to JoAnna but often times they have a sealed envelope you can put it into. The massage therapist wasn't available after my massage so I gave it to the receptionist to give to her. Overall I had a great experience and would come back. I signed up a few months ago for a three month plan and my first payment was 1000.00 and unfortunately my husband got injured due to a work accident. Anyway we were not able to continue with our plan with Dr.Marc so I asked for a refund and the customer service person that's in charge of explaining how everything works said I'm sorry but we dont give refunds. I was surprised because they only give you access to Facebook and some online videos explaining how to go get your labs done. And how to get ready for you first consultation with Marc. The videos he gives you are the same videos he gives you for free on YouTube. Another thing is that you dont even talk to him until your done getting your labs done. I didn't even get that far because of my husbands accident. I'm just wondering why cant they refund my money if they didn't do anything for me. Just sending me a login or sending me free videos explaining the same thing he explains on his YouTube channel shouldn't cost me a thousand dollars! Now if he couldn't for some wired reason give me my money back couldn't he come up with an alternative service like a product or acupuncture in his clinic or some supplements or anything else. Because at this point hes keeping my money and now I feel robbed! I really liked his videos but now I'm wondering if hes just using this online service to make easy money praying off of infertile women. I definitely recommend Reproductive Wellness, and especially Katie Beskin! I have been seeing her for a few years, as I struggled with infertility for a while, and I have always felt so comfortable and cared about while receiving treatment. I find their office very comfortable and efficient as well. The thing that has meant the most to me is how knowledgeable and caring Katie is. There was about a 2-year gap between fertility treatments when I wasn't seeing any reproductive specialist, and it was very comforting to have occasional check-ins with Katie during that time to keep me looking forward in my fertility journey and thinking about what I could do during that time off to preserve or improve my chances of success in the future. Then, when I finally got going again, we decided to do IVF in Europe, which meant I was not seeing an RE leading up to treatment. My regular treatments with Katie were so helpful again in getting prepared physically and mentally and keeping an eye on my hormone levels and everything. While she is an acupuncturist, she has a lot of fertility knowledge and gave me some great suggestions of questions to ask, tests to have done, supplements to take, and more. I understand that everyone's experience is different, but when it comes to attacking the honesty of the business, that's less subjective and frankly doesn't seem possible to me. I have been going to Reproductive Wellness for three years now and I have never had a negative experience or found them to be dishonest in the slightest way. I've seen comments about having to wait and that's happened to me, but I wait at most doctor's offices (and it's been a lot longer than 10 minutes). While I haven't achieved my goal since going to RW, I trust Marc implicitly and everyone else I've worked with there . I have been seeing Marc Sklar at Reproductive Wellness for about a year and a half for hormone issues. The main things I like about him is that he doesn't mess around or treat you like a guinea pig.. he has a very structured protocol he goes through that is only based on research and lab results. He doesn't just throw something or other in the mix to "see what it does".. none of that. No guessing. He is affordable (which is HARD to find), and he is natural but open to modern medicine when needed. I have historically low progesterone, cortisol, DHEA, and "normal thyroid levels". Through working with him discovered I have Hashimotos (autoimmune thyroid). It took 7 years of "normal" thyroid tests and me going to tons of doctors and also ordering labs on my own until I found him and he was the first to pay attention to everything I told him AND also have answers, not guesses. Also this year was the first year that my thyroid finally showed as off. Most docs don't test for thyroid antibodies, and sometimes those are the only thing that shows your thyroid is off... then you can start helping treat it before those antibodies kill off your thyroid and it turns into full blown hypo/hyper. I use supplements he has given me and he let's me pair it with essential oils to find a great plan for me. I also ended up getting on Nature-throid a couple months ago and feel AMAZING! He told me he could help treat me naturally or take the meds, and I chose the meds because I couldn't function normally and needed help STAT! I got my labs re-done 5 months after eating Paleo and my autoimmune markers cut in half (which is awesome).. He works with you on food too and had me do a full on food outline where I wrote down everything I ate for a week and he looked at it and told me what I could change. Also I will say that my labs last time showed normal in every area besides Thyroid, for the first time in 7 years. It was a huge victory! I used to research so much and just take supplements based off my research. That really is a huge shot in the dark.. esp when it's not based off labs. And even when you base it off your own labs (which I did).. you just need an expert. You can make yourself worse than you were before and also just never get to the root. SO much of hormone issues all mimic each other.. always best to get a full round of labs and have a natural minded doc look at them cause conventional docs won't catch a lot of it. I had a regular doc & Marc looking at all my labs. The regular doc said "you've got antibodies attacking your thyroid. Best to come back every year to get that checked out and see if it gets worse". Marc said "You've got antibodies attacking your thyroid. Let's do this, this, this, and this to help so hopefully it doesn't get worse". YES PLEASE. He also noticed about 4 other lab results that he didn't like and wanted to help support me in that the other doc never would have mentioned (like lower-than-he-liked Vitamin D, my body wasn't processing folate and a few other things properly, etc.) Overall highly recommend Marc! Also, he's just a cool guy so that's nice. Johnna and the other office staff are always SUPER great and I've had the pleasure of seeing Katie a few times and she's fantastic and so sweet! I've had a number of complications throughout my pregnancy and acupuncture has been such a saving grace. I met Tamara hours after I was released from the ICU, as I had previously scheduled a consultation with her. In moments of crisis, few people can gather their thoughts and offer support in the way that you need. Tamara was one of those people. She wasn't sure whether or not it was safe to proceed with acupuncture due to my health issues, but she still emailed me to check to see how I was doing and did her best to offer me such support until my doctor agreed that it was safe. Talk about a stranger just truly caring about your (and your child's) overall well-being! Since then, Tamara has continued to be a ray of sunshine during this very difficult pregnancy. She empathizes with me and is constantly trying to find solutions to keep me comfortable and moving forward. I'm so grateful for her and trust her completely.
